To anyone whose profile I visited recently, don't let it worry you! I'm just preparing some statistics for the site, like this one and this one.

Speaking of which, are there any stats people are particularly interested in? (The data set this time is all cuddlers who have been active in last 9 months).

    9 months is a wider set than I would probably use, depending on what you're looking for. I only consider "active" no more than a month since last login. And I would separate data of users registered less than a month ago as "new users".

    there are some stats that I think would be interesting to see, evaluate, not sure all I available

    • % of non-pros that are - in relationships vs married vs single , same would be interesting for pros too
    • % of people pros & non-pros in representing in forums
    • % of newbies that continue past more than one month
    • average # of people banned, deactivated, temporarily suspended, these definitions would be helpful, seen some people leave recently and started to think what are the differences of each.

    Deactivated is voluntarily pausing your account
    Deleted is voluntarily removing your account
    Suspended is admin pausing your account
    Banned is admin removing your account

    Thank you for that info, i have seen a few people temporarily suspended, is that for a oarticular oeriod of time 30 dats, 1 year?

    I would guess it is suspended while investigations are made. However long that takes. Ending in either a reinstatement or being banned.

    @ubergigglefritz What kind of stats are interesting to you that need dividing into less than / more than one month old (or since last login)?

    @happybear good suggestions, but I don't have access to data about deleted profiles etc. so I can't do the last two.

    I just think new members are both more interesting and less informative at the same time. They show potential future trends, but also may mean less, because a lot of them will be not be around for long.

    I'm not necessarily interested in stats specific to this. I would just keep the data separated for whatever I'm pulling. For example, if I were looking at gender distribution, the results would be 50/50 for active committed members, or 55/45 if including new members. Same stat, just different populations. Anyway, that's just how I would do it, because they say different things and have different levels of confidence.

    So you manually compile your data one profile visit at a time? That's an insane amount of work.

    @Mailleweaver Just the profiles that aren't public. And I download the HTML then process it.
