Until I read this thread I didn't know there was an age filter. Everyone commenting here is opposed to a race filter. What about the age filter? I'd say for consistency get rid of it.
I think if you started listing racial preferences on the site it would create what we in my professional call a 'convoluted mess.' It would be viewed as demeaning toward many on the site and a number of us have already felt marginalized enough; that' why we are here to begin with.
Is this a sh*t post?
@brownglucose The odd thing is OP has started two topics in the last week that sound like something a relatively new member would be asking about, but his profile says he's been here since 2019.
"I'm open to cuddling Freddy Krueger, with or without THE GLOVE!" Even if he was ________?
Freddy's a pedo he gets no love
Would love that. Avoids massive time wasted contacting someone who will have no intention of cuddling with you.
"If you have a preferred race for cuddling there is something wrong with you."
@CuddleDuncan this is one of the more ridiculous things I've seen on this board. People have preference for what race and body type they cuddle, that doesn't make them bad people. No, you don't have to be welcoming and willing to cuddle with just anybody, there's a reason the search function lets you filter for age, race, etc.
Whatever helps you land someone to cuddle with. People have preferences …. That’s fine.
@PolarMtnHuman95 I think having a profile photo does the trick just fine if you're concerned about people wasting your time...they're going to see you're not a blue-eyed European.
A race filter would be despicable and racist, regardless of the reason, in my opinion.

I see what the OP is trying to say. As an example, I have clicked on some people's profiles and have seen that the person's preferred age range is something like 28-42 and I know that there's no reason for me to reach out to them. So, I can understand the desire to know if you don't meet the other person's criteria before contacting them.
However, this particular idea has a few downfalls: 1. No one would actually use it. Most people who have race preferences won't tend to want to say them out loud. 2. If anyone actually wants to state their preferences out loud, they can feel free to just say it in their profile and see how that works out for them. 3. As demonstrated by this thread, there is no chance that it wouldn't be misinterpreted. (Just as it was almost inevitable that the OP's suggestion would be misinterpreted.)
As a side note: This site does already have a race (ethnicity) filter. Obviously it's for the person searching and not for the people being searched, as suggested by this thread, but it's there. (I've never used it, so I couldn't say how well it works.)
@PolarMtnHuman95 You believe you are being blocked because of race. Especially the three white women that you said “hello, how are you doing?” That line right there is why you were most likely blocked. Most women have mentioned that they will not respond to such simple greetings. There are also more than a few threads that say how to start a conversation with an enthusiast.
This is not a dating site , yet that line doesn’t work on those either.
Well people do filter based on age, sex, color, looks etc all the time. Having an extra option will not change the reality. People find it ok to do it behind the back but have an option upfront, everyone is upset about it suddenly.
Pros are really only interested in the color green
@BrionC OP is talking about hearing back from enthusiasts, not pros.
@pmvines for the win! This isn’t a dating site so there’s no need for additional categories.
No I don’t think it’s a good idea. It can be seen as racist. Ppl will choose who they want. For me the most important factor on a profile is if the person can host or not.
Absolutely not
I just cant right now
If this is 2025 thought process and questions to ask out loud......
Its exhausting 😶
Purple is my favorite color. I always thought there should be a race of purple people, however in order to achieve this look you must either have purple body paint or consume large amount of colloidal silver.
Ethnicity is already an option. But not there for demonstrative enjoyment.. Expect better from yourself and that translates into expecting better from those you come into contact with... But it starts with you buddy. Be better.
@xandriarain what a coincidence as purple rain happens to be one of my favorite songs!
And this is what it sounds like when the doves cry
Are those songs? I wouldn't know because my Spotify has the music by black people filter on.
I'm not sure, but I am gonna get in my little red Corvette with darling Nikki and party like it's 1999 and tell the new generation just let's go crazy

@pmvines True, but that part of his storyline was "taken out" in the 80s. I just can't remember why Wes Craven took it out though...🤔
Him being a pedophile was included in the remake/reboot/whatever you wanna call it. 😁
I didn't care much for that version due to how Nancy's character was portrayed, I strongly prefer the original Nancy over that "Nancy". 😌
Lol! 😆 I didn't say that I would "love Freddy", I said that I would cuddle with Freddy, I can cuddle without love friend.😁
@Katota in the reboot there's a reveal that he was just a weird guy that the kids hated so they fabricated the pedo accusations that led to his killing.
I'm surprised this thread is still up
