Ok @WestsideMarc I will toot my own horn. I am not sure how much I am allowed to share here but I am working with a couple of colleagues to create the first ever professional association for cuddle professionals !
I’m going to toot my own horn. Some people know that I do energy healing. I am also on call a lot for people who want to vent or need emotional support. I do this work every day. The majority of it is Monday through Friday. I send out energy and text hello hugs to about 70 people a day. On the weekends, I contact a few who need the extra miles so to speak.
I’m also available when your friends need to talk in such.
not a "huge" irl accomplishment.. but the other night i reached master fishing rank on lord of the rings online. i also completed the trout fishing deed and am halfway thru their sturgeon one. i only just went back after 8 years away. once i feel like i've remastered those; i'll go conquer something that's more noteworthy than fishing.
i've been trying to stream at least once a week to be more consistent, and i've gotten a lot more raids lately. i got raided by the LOTRO official channel the other week. i'm a nerd

Curious, is the association based in the USA, (as far as regulations and guidelines) like maybe on the same ground as other therapy?
This would definitely bring more attention to the cuddling world. The business space would spill into the area of client information management, selling, marketing and internal list in a space where public education on cuddling is paramount.
Is there a (best practices) to maintaining the integrity of collecting and using information on clients while fulfilling their needs?
@Dance_Culture we will be a non profit based in the USA but will accept members internationally. We hope to establish industry norms and accredit certification programs.
The association is for professionals. We will not be working directly with clients they would not have accounts or logins so we will not have any need to collect their data.
Our primary mission is to provide resources to cuddle professionals, build a bridge between cuddle therapy and the mainstream health care and mental health fields and increase the visibility of the industry as a whole.
The idea is that we regulate ourselves before the government tries to come regulate us. And when that day comes, we have a large enough voice to advocate for ourselves. What we don’t want is to be lumped in the same box as massage therapy, for example where you have to have a minimum of anywhere from 500 to 1000 hours of education depending on the state which would not make sense for our field and it would gate keep a lot of people out of the field. We want to have reasonable education requirements that makes sense for this industry and to keep it accessible

I have a fair amount of short fiction and poetry out there that I have published various places in the world over the years, but I have never had much luck completing long form projects.
I'm pleased to say that I recently completed the first draft of a novel, and am going to spend the rest of the year getting it into shape so I can see if I can find a home for it that would be more advantageous than self-publishing through my own small press.
