@mauvefox: Where would we be without the good, old accidental click? I find I do those a lot, though sometimes I'm glad I did. 😁
Haha ... yes, my phone does that too.
Interesting user name. Cute or unique photo. An insightful Forum comment. Or, returning the favor because they visited my profile!
For me it’s almost always because I saw a forum post which I found intriguing. The other situation is profiles local to my area, I like to know who is around me and so if a new profile appears in my search area I’ll likely click it. Then for some, I just wanted to see it before it got banned ;-)
▪︎ profile displayed on homepage ▪︎ comment or post in the forum ▪︎ has a cool avatar picture ▪︎ Can't identify what is the picture ▪︎ where is this person from? ▪︎ Person left karma on another's profile ▪︎ Something gets mentioned about profile ▪︎ accidently clicked ▪︎ Viewed me ▪︎ I haven't clicked this profile before (curiosity) ▪︎ Thought I hadn't clicked it before ▪︎ fell asleep with phone in hand (another accidental click)
• fat fingered the user name
• Saw a pic in the post office that looked similar
• Saw a note in the forums saying they are timed out/banned and looking for confirmation.
• Somebody looked at my profile so I peekaboo back at them
• Someone that looks like they might know me from a previous life
• People that might want to make a tax free donation to my cuddle charity (that would be me).
In the Tallahassee area, there are unfortunately not usually a lot of active cuddlers. So when I see that a new (or maybe long-inactive) cuddler has suddenly appeared in my local and recently-active search, I'm like, "OMG IT'S A PERSON," and I click on it.
I've also clicked on a profile if their photo shows they're wearing a cool shirt (a band I like, a nerd/Star Trek reference, etc) because that clearly means we're friends now.
@JargogleBearHug I have absolutely had moments like that with people everywhere. Obviously we're friends now, right?
3 reasons for me:
1.) I accidentally clicked on their profile 2.) they’re in my area and could be a potential cuddle buddy 3.) if she’s a beautiful woman, I’m gonna admire her. Sue me 🤷🏽♂️
Every time I see a red head.
If their username name is named after food 🤷🏽♂️
I checked out enthusiasts profiles in my area and sometimes I check out profiles that are highlighted on the home page.
Looking at tattoos
Visiting random profiles outside my home area is like treasure hunting! There are no expectations but every often you find a real gem
Same, @JargogleBearHug . New cuddlers are super rare for me too.
@mauvefox Oh absolutely!! 😁
@HoosCuddling I’ve had to travel for all my cuddles because it’s just not great here
Not really random, but I'm terrible with town names, so if a place name sounds familiar, but I can't quite place it, I check to see if it's in my area or not 😂
Also if your picture has changed, that usually merits a visit ...
One time I clicked on someone's profile I thought was cute.
If they are local I would read there profile. There smile gets my attention, some pictures looks like they are having a bad day.
Embarrassing, I know... But I've been following the music thread. When someone's music sample stirs my heart, I NEED to go take a look at the Soul who posted it! lol
Also, when someone posts a particularly insightful answer to a thread (@pmvines @lovingspoonfull @Katelyn_B , I'm looking at youse guys!! lol), I also have to go take a gander at the Soul who posted it!
Thank you @Homesteader ! I never mind when you visit my profile and always enjoy hearing from you 🤗
I click for many reasons: A Cool cuddle name, a nice smile, a city I never heard of before, a Cool picture ( outdoor, artsy), answer from the forum, and sometimes a city has same name as a nearby city close to me that ends up being in another state.
sheer boredom
Imaginary place becomes real…
Growing up in CT, my best friend’s dad had a really old car — 1952 Grey Rolls Royce Phantom IV. Called it the “Grey Phantom”. It was originally purchased from a dealer in Council Bluffs, Iowa — a place I always imagined to be fictitious. Loved that car.
One day I saw a profile of a new cuddler who was in Council Bluffs. I clicked. Was moved by the profile, so I messaged. We exchanged several messages over a period of months. It was a very satisfying connection for both of us.
Real life even better than imagined.
A fun username always gets me to click on someone’s profile!
Also if you responded to a thread titled "Confess some of your randomest reasons for clicking on a profile"
Thank you for the kind words @Homesteader .
Your own enthusiastic and positive posts probably draw quite a few clicks.
And @GuyverGordon your humor and good natured posts do the same.
Thank you @lovingspoonfull!
To read a profile tbh 🤪
