Personally I acknowlege i have one of the least desirable profile photos on the site.....
@dennis22554
@MTex having trouble in Phoenix or El Paso? I visit both cities every now and then lol
It's been discussed pretty much endlessly on here that some people prefer to cuddle with someone they find physically attractive. So if the person didn't like your photo for whatever reason, the odds are they won't send one back or pursue things with you. This isn't dating, but a lot of the same rules seem to apply, especially when dealing with enthusiasts.
@WriterGF I pretty much assume that's the case when I take the time to write a well thought out first message, the person views my profile, and then either immediately blocks me without saying anything or just doesn't reply. Oh well, just move on to someone else.
Now in the realm of dating (outside of this site) and meeting people online first this is what leads me to hesitate if talking to someone new without them seeing my picture beforehand when it comes time to show them what I look like. It seems more than half the time they'll ask me to send a picture first and claim they'll send one back, but then as soon as they see me (even if the conversation seemed to be going well and they seemed interested up to that point) they stop responding or block me. Does wonders for the self esteem lol. I myself know I'm a bad photographer. Whether it's selfies or of others or scenery I just don't have the eye for good angles and such. I always warn people of this when they ask me to take their picture since they're often dissatisfied how it turns out. 😅
The prices are out of control
@richie92 Prices are dictated by the market. If a pro is charging X price, and gets no business, she'll cut the price. If she's getting clients at the price she's charging, no need to change it.
@CSnMUS87 Back in the day, eHarmony used to make you communicate with a match in three different ways before you were allowed to swap photos.
I always wondered if coffee meets bagel worked or how the platform is. Just liked it by its name never tried it though
As a pro, I greet anyone who visits. If they’re interested, they can respond. If not, I take it they’re just browsing and that’s fine too. If I was an enthusiast though, I’d probably be quite picky and would personally rather choose my own cuddle companions. I’d only respond if it was someone who piqued my interest. But that’s just me and maybe other enthusiasts could also feel that way. It’s like two completely different worlds that really aren’t interchangeable. If you want something more dependable and reliable, you might want to book a pro.
@HumbleBaron1 Coffee Meets Bagel is how my son and his wife met.
My mind runs nonstop My body is tired and unmotivated My soul is just watching from the sidelines ready to do its part when needed
Holistically im just another person trying to live tomorrow better then yesterday, while being on this site today, asking myself why? Oh yeah to see who's like me. Basically intentionally bored, bland and reserved. Until moved to be otherwise for the sake of posterity and variety to spice up living.
The male version of snow white 😂
@UglyDuckling You painted an interesting word picture in my head. I'm picturing Lord Farquaad from Shrek a la Snow White. 😆
Anything can get tiring after a while. All I can say is keep on keeping on! When you're finally embraced, because I put it out in the world that you will be, it'll be all that you needed and more. Make some edits to the profile perhaps. Reverse the polarity of your mindset. Reset. And maybe think of virtual sessions for opportunities of karma. My opinion is it'll help.. Sending the OP and everybody reading the best cuddle vibes from here 🤗
I get that women get "to be picky" and often get more engagement but that doesn't insure successful cuddling either.
I got blocked by someone cause I guess I took to long to reply. I also got ghosted by someone as soon as I sent them a photo so that made the message pretty clear they weren't actually interested in platonic cuddling. And the one person I met up with to cuddle with seemed cool but then tried to put his hand down my shirt which I stopped and he hasn't messaged me since our meet up.
So I totally understand the frustration people can feel on this site.
People who's first message is about how "pretty I am" (despite you can't see my face) or immediately ask for a photo I ignore cause that to me is a clear red flag they aren't here for a platonic connection but looking for something more.
We use to have cuddle parties here in Vancouver but I feel like covid killed them and it is def a struggle as an asexual woman to find someone without ulterior motives anywhere else. I miss the "strictly platonic" dating page on Craiglist...met my best friend back in 2011 off that site.
Hi @ Firechild There is an ebb and flow to this site and sometimes more options depending on the season. And sorry some people sent some weird notes - please know your city is an amazing place for coffee and cuddles platonically. Plus CDN cities are not as busy as some of the other hubs on this site.
There is a FB GROUP in your city dedicated to cuddling (please look it up) and look for tika bean on there as she posts about cuddling parties and you can register via eventbright. Notable platonic meetings.
Blocking - I find the block tool to be a good one not just for messages coming in but also for me. We click online and I will sometimes block or delete conversations so I don’t keep clicking that persons profile after a period so I don’t appear stalkerish. And Sometimes silence means not interested so easier to block and not worry (so protection of that helps). Have a great cuddle time here or maybe cuddle time in the future.
@Firechild Did you report that person ? Those are terms for banning. Sorry that happened. Thx.
@Firechild -
People who's first message is about how "pretty I am"
Maybe they thought they were talking to your cat.
