I know my best friend would describe me as "his favourite weirdo"

I'm 45 asexual lady who has a tendency to be a bit of an overthinking hermit/homebody. With my best friends living in Mexico, Ontario and the ones locally being super busy with their own lives I don't really get as much social time as is needed and that's probably not great for my own mental health. I use to attend cuddle parties but those don't really seem to be a thing anymore.

I'm a MAJOR nerd- I love anime, comic books, video games, and movies. Give me a chance to show you my favourite British comedy shows and I'm a happy camper. I'm also big into arts, crafts and books. I'm also a cat lady just to round out that stereotype, but I do love all animals.

I also have a bit of a "mom" personality in that I like to take care and do things for people in my friend group. I've been told I'm a good listener and problem solver. I like being able to help people.

I'm not sure what I am expecting to get from this. The chance to simply increase human contact in itself is appealing. And perhaps I can find some like minded people who potentially could even become friends.
