The most attractive accents or dialects

Maybe it's me, but there's something about a woman with an accent or dialect that just drives me insane.

As far as foreign accents go, I'm especially drawn to British, Australian, Irish, and Scottish accents.

As for American accents, there's only one clear winner for me...the Southern accent. It's warm, inviting, and projects the idea of making you feel right at home.

  • Alabama of course

  • Scottish and Irish are my favorites. I'll do backflips for a pretty redhead with an Irish lilt in her voice!

  • Spanish, Portuguese, British, Irish, Scottish, Australian are my favorites.

Most grating to me are German, eastern European, Middle Eastern, and Indian (ironic because I'm Indian lol)

  • Scottish and Irish are my favorites. I'll do backflips for a pretty redhead with an Irish lilt in her voice!

@Jubal I have to admit that I constantly get those two accents confused because they sound so similar. Same with British and Australian.

  • The you got mail guy used to make the frown turn upside down back in the late 90's for me

  • French, Brazilian and Russian are nice too

  • Antartican. They have elongated r’s after b’s.

  • I'm partial to different Spanish accents: Mexican, Columbian, Argentinean, Chilean.
I love a Boston accent! Italian & French are pretty sexy too!

I was at one of my drop off points, once, and the guy I was trying to get to sign me off couldn't stop laughing at my accent--- while I couldn't stop laughing, equally hard, at his!!! It was really cool!!

I love the southern drawl, from the US. I met a wonderful Scottish couple--LOVED THEM BOTH-- but had to ask her to slow down her vocal speed so I could understand!! lol I'm in the wrong place to discuss the effect a New Jersey accent has on me, though.. lol

  • I love French accent.

  • I'm partial to a deep voice

    Brazilian accent is good

  • I don’t think accents do anything for me. They’re more like clues that the person I’m talking to has a different set of experiences than mine.

That usually means there’s a great opportunity to learn something new and interesting.

If I had any auditory triggers it would be tonal, like enthusiastic speech, calm confident statements, bright humor leaking out.

  • I'm partial to a deep voice

@Auroradream Then you'd have no trouble with me.

  • Irish! ☘️ I’m swooooning

  • I had an Irish coworker.

Australian ❤️ I had an Aussie boy I talked to for years on MySpace when I was younger back in the day. We never met in real life but we did talk on the phone quite a bit. It was so sweet and it's a great memory.

  • I love accents from the UK & Australia.

Yet when I was in Florida one year on vacation, I heard the best.
An Italian man that moved from NYC to the south. It was a mixture of Southern & NY drawl

    @CuddleBug02u

What a coincidence. I talked for years to somebody on Myspace using a fake Australian accent due to an unhealthy obsession with Steve Irwin that I perfected by listening to Outback Steakhouse ads 🤔

  • I love an authentic Cajun accent. The place to go is around Lafayette, LA. Yes, you can’t always understand what they are saying but that’s not the point.

    Southern accent for me.

  • Australian, and the uk ;)

  • I enjoy a lot of the U K dialects, in particular, Essex. I also enjoy Scottish and Australian accents.
