Sometimes we take our pets granted in that we believe they lead great lives and we are wonderful owners. And for the most part...this is true however, do you ever wonder what I our pet is really feeling as they go through ever day life? What is a good day? Do you ever think that they get frustrated cause half the time, we have no idea what they are trying to tell us? My dog barks of pools of water nonstop after it rains..so I assume water contains something evil! You think Ai would come up with something useful like Babbel for animals! Thoughts?

    My dog of seven years died in March. She was 9. I put her to rest in my backyard and planted a tree atop her grave. Today it surprised me with a bloom! I think she thought well of me.

    My baby boy is nearing his end and is definitely not taken for granted. He's been a wonderful little companion in spite of being wretchedly spoiled.

    I'm sure everyone has heard of the talking buttons for dogs. It takes a lot of training but it's worth it.

    I honestly don't have any problems understanding my doggie. He has different barks for whatever he is trying to convey.
    A short high pitched bark when he's out of water.
    A desperate almost crying bark when he sees a cat in the yard.
    Etc...
    He's my little drama king & a big ham. If I'm not paying attention to him he has a very dramatic way of letting me know. He should be on Broadway. 🤩

    I often wonder what they think and feel as well. Even though my cats are very social and let me know what they need… I still wonder what they actually think of me or of our life. Like do you need more?!?! Just tell me!…. 🥺

    I can totally relate. I always wonder if my dogs get tired of eating the same food everyday. Luckily, my pups are trash bandits and excellent food thieves, so I needn’t worry much. 😅

    You could probably get some samples of food and see. There should be a number of different foods you could get for some variety.

    Our dog is quite expressive with his needs, wants, and feelings.

    He rolls on his back on the rug when he feels safe and happy. 😌

    He lays his head on his front paws to pout when "Daddy" goes to work or when we're watching a movie and he wants to play.

    He sits and looks at us intently when he needs to go outside, or goes and sits on the rug by the back door.

    He makes soft little sounds around dinnertime, lest we forget the most important meal of the day. 😆

    He spins in circles and gets zoomies when we start pulling on boots, get out the camp chairs, etc. and he knows we're going on an adventure. 🏞

    He growls and barks when evil impostors, especially UPS, dare to drive by the house.

    He trembles and sneaks into our bedroom when thunder rolls through the mountains. 🌩

    He sits down by the porch if we let him out but he doesn't need to go.

    He looks toward the office, where we keep his toy rotation, if he wants a different toy to fetch. He's on a plush carrot stint, right now...poor rubber duckie! 🥕🐤

    I used to think people were crazy who thought their dogs exhibited all sorts of conscious behavior, like people with their babies, but all it takes is some caring observation to see that they certainly have a lot to communicate, and we can understand a lot, if we take the time.
