  • Cost for a 30 second ad is $7 to 8 million.

  • Let’s hire a PR firm to get the word out!!! Seems like it’s been a minute since the world knew. And a reminding might be nice. What do you all think!?

    You paying for it?

Where do the fees go? @FunCartel_

  • @CuddleCove4 This site was a kitchen sink idea that grew into a website. There is one owner. You have to pay for site hosting fees and site maintenance. There are legal fees and probably an accountant. I don’t know if you have ever priced a PR firm but they are very expensive.

Got to spend money to make money. @TheFunCartel

  • Got to spend money to make money.

No shit Sherlock. I have had a couple of successful businesses. What the cliche you offered fails to address is spending money on what. PR is a luxury. When you are a small business you need to market yourself without a PR firm. PR firms run in the five figures and goes up from there. Going bankrupt on a PR firm brings up a rare cliche—Got to spend money to run out of money.

  • If it were me… I’d use chat GPT, write a news release and use it in markets where there is going to be a cuddle meet up. Emailing it to the local news groups. I’d use a local PR company that knows the people. Or skip the firm and spend nothing.

@FunCartel_ what industries were the business in?

  • Health foods and and consulting to architects.

  • Cheap PR could be advertising or having an acct on Tiktok, facebook, X, Snapchat, Instagram, etc…

A pertinent question is, for such a niche community, would paid social media advertising bring in an unacceptable percentage of people that would use the website for romantic/non-platonic purposes? I suspect it might.

Much of our growth as a community has come from search engine discoverability. That is people already knowing they want this and searching for it vs doing something thematically related on social media and having the idea presented to them.

  • Besides already mentioned features like map distance, read message, city locator in Find vs miles (for travel plans), etc…
How about an M or F on all profiles and user comments, along with city location, esp for those with blank photo avatars and obscure handle names. To quickly identify gender and locale, I.e, interest—instead of opening everyone’s comments or profile to find out.
Maybe a quickie hug/thumbs up/hello/interest icon that can be sent with one tap to indicate interest, conversation starter.
Along with message-read notifications, maybe a timestamp too?
Last log-in time is very telling (and the majority of members appear inactive).
Thanks for the site and effort, Mark!

An idea is an option for pros to pay their fees early instead of a couple of days following a session? Or does that already exist?

I also noticed that the issue of non-active profiles was addressed back in 2017, but remains unchanged. Just curious what is the reason for that? It seems a lot of members agree that the profiles which haven't been active in a while should be removed, or "invisible".

  • It would be nice in the search tool to have a function where you can enter the amount of time and the price you’re willing to pay and it would filter out anyone whose charges don’t match. This would be helpful especially with pros who run discounts on multiple hours.

  • @CuddlyKitten79 I personally wouldn't want to pay my fees before the session, as I've had multiple cancellations due to client illness, work issues, or family issues.

  • @SpicyNSweet Maybe the way I wrote my suggestion was confusing. I didn't mean to pay the fees prior to a session. I meant to pay them after the session, of course, but it takes two days before the fee is charged by CC. I'm asking if pros can pay our fees sooner than two days, for instance, immediately after? Or, a day after? Etc...

  • I have a lot of favorites saved (I use them more like bookmarks), but I can't sort them. They appear chronologically based on when I favorited them. I'd like to be able to sort by the time they were last online. Also by geography, because I travel.

  • Ohhh that makes sense, thank you @CuddlyKitten79 🥰

I'm sure this has been mentioned elsewhere, but there's an arbitrary character limit for Favourite Film and Favourite TV Show. Putting "lol character limit sorry" feels lazy, but telling people they'll have to ask?
That almost feels like playing games with people somehow, and the whole point of this site is to do the exact opposite (So I personally believe, anyway)

ETA: On mobile at least, it's possible to search for someone to cuddle... But not possible to search the discussions. I don't want to accidentally post anything that's already been posted

  • At the bottom of this page:

    https://www.cuddlecomfort.com/forum/categories/general

    there is a search box.

  • [Deleted User]ComfyCuddles45 (deleted user)

There should be an app or at least a direct connection to the phone number so cuddlers are notified when they have an unread message.

  • @ComfyCuddles45 have you played with your settings on here? You should be able to turn on phone notifications.

  • Actually I like this site exactly as it is. I find it very easy to navigate because I’ve taken the time to learn how to find what I need.
(I’m not the type to expect the world to revolve around me though).
If your suggestion didn’t result in a change, it must mean that it wasn’t feasible or maybe they’re working on it. And many of these suggestions could be resolved by filtering your searches.
CC being advertised on social media would likely attract (more) new members who are the types of rule-breakers that we don’t want.
Only my opinion…I know that many will disagree. 🤷‍♀️

  • I wish clients were able to pay us through this site if they don’t have cash. I just had a guy say he could pay via cashapp for an out call, I get there and the first thing he asks is if he can pay after, then he couldn’t pay via cashapp. Sounds like he was trying to get a free session. He said he’d have cash if I come back tomorrow, but then he blocked me after I left.

  • @LilyAnneNova that’d sound ideal but the issue is the company would have to manage payouts to pros which means they could be sitting on your money for up to a week especially if they use Stripe. Also there’s the potential they could pull out a larger percentage from your payments.

  • Disable inactive profiles. More than 90 days

  • DO NOT sell CuddleComfort to Private Equity!!!!!!!!!

    @LilyAnneNova
Unfortunately, there are a lot of children on here masquerading as men.

I’m also probably going to get flack for saying this, but I think Pros should have to pass background checks. I have a friend of mine who is a pro on another site and she had to pass a certification and background checks to be on their site. I think it would limit the seeking or offering sex work on here and the owner could build a legitimate business plan and get some funding to evolve this into a legitimate social and professional app. Just my thoughts.

Also, I am sure it’s been mentioned before, but it would be nice if enthusiasts and clients had to show ID to get their account approved and potential clients had to put a credit card on file while booking a pro and get charged the 15% for same day cancellations or no shows. I think that would be an added layer of accountability and safety for pros, enthusiasts and clients alike.

I opened this account out of curiosity and while there are some nice people on this site, a lot of men on here treat it like a dating site and I don’t even have a pic on here 😂 . And as a woman enthusiast, I’d feel more comfortable that men have to show an id and if I reach out to a pro, have a lower chance of being offered non platonic services if booked with them. It would be a win win.

  • @LilyAnneNova I have heard so many stories from so many pros on this site about “cuddle dash and go” scenarios it’s not even funny. The TOS explicitly states that payment is due before the cuddle session. In other words, after you walk through that door and introduce yourself, you need to get paid. It is the rule. You should report him for violating this black and white rule because he was trying to get free services.
