Women reaching out first

  • As a Pro, we are not allowed to "solicit" aka reach out unprompted or try to "hawk". However, if someone visits my profile, depending on their proximity to me (5miles away vs a different continent) I often send out a brief message to open the floor in case they have questions about my services but are too shy to ask.

Always be cautious, read reviews, and triple check the reviewers by browsing the karma writers. 2 karmas written by 2 seasoned cuddlers is infinitely better than 10 karmas written by banned or deleted cuddlers. Be safe out here 💗

  • I've been reached out to by a good few pros, no enthusiasts as of yet. Certainly wouldn't mind it if there was actually anyone near me lol.

  • @Jeremiaaahhh Sim, mas não é perfeito. Como nasci e cresci nos Estados Unidos, aprendi a maior parte do meu português por conta própria.

  • As an Enthusiasts. I have reached out a dozen times at least. It's like any other website, some get responded too, some get lost and some turn out to be amazing ppl that I met!

  • I hate when people, typically pros, message me after a profile view. If I wanted to start a conversation, I would…

  • @Gracious

    You’re absolutely 1000% correct.

  • In my opinion, the content of the message matters, @DarlingNikkii
For example, messaging after your profile is viewed saying "hello and thanks for stopping by!" isn't the same as messaging asking if they want to a book a session. I've often messaged my profile visitors saying the former, and usually get replies thanking me and wanting to book. I think many people are shy is all.

  • @DarlingNikkii For real, I get them messaging from out of state asking if I want to schedule a session, just because I clicked their profile. Reading is important, kids...

  • @SpicyNSweet I get the nuance in the two types of messages - but in my mind pros who do that only because it’s not against the rules but still completes the same objective. Why message a random person to stat a conversation unless you want to engage? Like why are you “thanking” me for stopping by, unless you want someone to message back? I’m not doing any favors for you, so it still comes across as solicitation. Especially when that’s all the message is. It comes off fake, and a business tactic.

  • @DarlingNikkii Totally agree. I've gotten "Thanks for viewing my profile!" from people I only clicked on to report. 😆 The concept that clicking a profile equates to "interest in booking" is nuts.

  • @SunsetSnuggles - Because they are trying to solicit business and this loophole allows them to do so if you click on their profile.

  • Hello @Jeremiaaahhh
I'm so glad you asked this question and it's so interesting to see the responses. There are 2 reasons why I've reached out first.

    1. When someone looks at my profile, I sometimes will look at theirs. And if there's something interesting or lovely that they wrote in their profile that moved me, or if I have a question about something, I reach out and share that or ask. I think one of the most important things about cuddling is connection. I know what it's like to feel invisible and one of the reasons I love to Cuddle is to bear witness to the human being with me. I never want anyone to feel like I've felt. So that's what reaching out first for this reason feels like to me. I saw something about you that I wanted to let you know made me happy or curious or whatever and to thank them for that.

    2. The other reason I have reached out is when I'm going to be in a different city for a period of time and have time and the ability for Cuddle Sessions, I just look at that city and do a few reach outs just to introduce myself and let them know I'll be there. That's it.

Never selling. Never pushing. Just connecting.

I hope everyone has a lovely rest of their Sunday wherever you are. :)

  • Like I said, I've often reached out. And I've met some REALLY cool people that way, regardless of if we ever have a session or not. I think you're making assumptions about others.

  • @SpicyNSweet Agreed! :)

Sweeping generalizations never do anyone any good.

  • Yes, I agree with that completely! Of course there's pros who only care about booking sessions. But that's not all of us, nor is it everyone who says hello. Damn🥴

  • @Jeremiaaahhh she probably reached out because of your last thread. I would have reached out too if we were closer.

I have some good friends that I've made on here. As a matter of fact I was discussing this with one of them recently. He said they probably think it's a trap. And now I see that it's probably true they imagined that.

Nine times out of ten when I reach out to a male enthusiast he doesn't respond. I had a bet going with myself to see how many I could contact before getting a response. If they do respond I usually get ghosted after a short time. 👻 It's their loss. 😁

  • The only women I've had reach out so far have been pros, but I'm really glad they did! I'm still very new to the site and they were open to just talking to me about experiences and providing advice. One was in another state and she and I had fairly long, in depth conversations. The other is local and I'm planning on meeting her and other local cuddlers, both enthusiasts and pros, at a meetup event she's hosting. So while nothing in person has come of them reaching out yet, I do like that I got to know them.

  • @MTex dang lol
    That is an interesting game.
    Makes sense

Thank you all again for your input

  • The reading comprehension level here is hilarious. @SpicyNSweet and @CuddleLilyBea what sweeping generalizations are being made here?

Also @CuddleLilyBea you just admitted to soliciting. If you’re in a new town, and want to make some money you reach out to people to let them know you’re in town and to book. 💁🏻‍♀️

  • Just came here to say, as a Pro, if I’ve clicked on your profile without you messaging first BELIEVE it was an accident 🤣🤣🤣
I multitask too dang much and sometimes my fingers slip!
Also, as pros it’s both against the rules (like many others have mentioned) and in bad taste to reach out to someone just because they viewed your profile. Could have been a multitude of reasons for it.
When I slip I immediately click back out, don’t even glance at their profile anyway. 🤷🏽‍♀️

For enthusiasts, the rules are different.

  • The quick answer from me to op is yes 👍… the women enthusiasts here have messaged first .

But ya know 🤔 I have mixed thoughts on professional cuddlers not able to message first . I always thought couldn’t there be a filter like the others we have where I can click it to say yes you can message me first ? I get that the default setting would be set as no and you have to intentionally change it 🤔.

But hey to all the professional cuddles here maybe you are dodging all those “hey baby / dude bro “ responses if you could message first ! Just some thoughts 😊

  • Nine times out of ten when I reach out to a male enthusiast he doesn't respond.

Yep, this happens with me ... 🙋🙋🙋

If they do respond I usually get ghosted after a short time. 👻

Lol. Yep, me too. Lol 😆

Like I said, due to a lot of this that you mentioned. @MTex 😊👍

I just don't bother with messaging first much anymore. 🤷😏😁

  • My reading comprehension is stellar🥰

  • I simply can't understand why me or anyone else on here saying hello and have a great day to someone who's viewed my profile is somehow fake, tacky or pushy. But okay😂

  • @OhioMike I totally agree with that. Because yes, there are certainly those who are too shy or unsure to send a first message... Especially with all the hate that women fling here about how men can't send a good message to save their life. 😆 If I were a guy I'd be intimidated to reach out, based on all the flack and humiliation they constantly face.

Honestly, I would mark mine that Pro's could contact me. Because despite the annoying messages, the ones from people who didn't even realize I'm not also a Pro, and the shameless attempts to solicit...I also get the sweet heartfelt ones, too, that come from a genuine place. And I would never want to miss out on those, to save myself some eye rolls.

  • Yeah @SunsetSnuggles thank you. 😊

I’d think it would be an easier fix but we all know peeps will still break TOS if it was implemented. But at least you’d have a clear cut reason why to discipline 👍

Just a short story about me and @SunsetSnuggles ..
I messaged her first like 4 plus years ago and she promptly replied in like 10-15 min. We chatted on cc for a bit then after awhile we did the zoom thing and it was really fun 🤩

Then a few years later we crossed paths at a cuddle gathering and hey we already kinda knew each other !

These things take time and of course a lot of back and forth I really dislike the idea that people can’t message me first (pros ) because the main reason I’m here is to meet you folk 😊👋

  • I message people first all the time when they visit my profile, and I will message other pros too based on their values and principles listed reflected on their profile. I think messaging people first helps people get comfortable, also, sometimes people feel intimidated by my profile because of how specific and detailed it is. My boundaries are fierce, but I am still kind, thats why I cuddle! And its also why I message people, to remind them they are safe.
