Here is the link to the August survey to pick a book and meeting time.

The survey will close on Saturday, August 1st at 12am PT / 3am ET / 7am GMT.

I will announce the August book winner & chosen meeting time on August 1st after I review the results.

Note: I am only scheduling ONE meeting for August at the end of the month. If the chosen time doesn't work for you, I'm happy to try to schedule a 1-on-1 discussion!

  • Reminder that the survey to pick August's book closes in just under 24 hours!

If you want to have a say in which book we read and what time we meet, make sure to click the link & respond before Saturday, August 1st at 12am PT / 3am ET / 7am GMT.

  • Announcing August's book...

Speaking from the Heart: 18 Languages for Modern Love, by Anne Hodder-Shipp!

It is a short and easy read, though it gives us a lot to think and talk about! There's also a workbook that can be purchased separately if you want to dive deeper.

Our meeting for the month will be on Sunday, August 30th at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST

I'll message out the meeting link directly to people who have expressed interest. You can also DM me to get it!

    Where to get the book:
Directly from the official site, PDF format
    Apple ebook
    Kindle ebook & Amazon paperback
    Barnes & Noble paperback
    Target paperback
    Kobo ebook
    ebooks.com
Libby/OverDrive, free through your library app

Unfortunately I did not find an audio book.

About mid-month I'll post some discussion questions in case anyone wants to participate that way rather than the end of month meeting ☺️

  • Thank you so much for doing this @cuddlefaery I'm looking forward to discussing this and navigating some of the differences from the original idea of Love Languages. SUPER EXCITED!!

When I first read the book way back in the day, I was thrilled to finally understand that people communicate love (kindness, tenderness, care) to/for each other differently.
I was also relieved to know that I wasn't malfunctioning as a human because I felt love (kindness, tenderness, care) differently than some of my friends and family.

There was a large amount of joy and relationship building that come from that revelation. I'm so glad that Anne Hodder-Shipp was brave enough to stretch this out to people outside of traditional cis het monogomous relationships so that we can all benefit from this kind of thoughtfulness re our relating to each other.
