I am with @UKGuy on this one. I can tell you I worked in Surgical Intensive Care and I have seen tattoos from the eyelids. cheeks, behind ears, back of neck, arms, legs, belly, feet, belly, back and yes penis and vagina. I can honestly tell you there was only 1 patient in 23 years that didn’t regret getting the tattoo and he was in his 30’s. To each his own and like @Catloaf said if you are clean that’s all that matters.
As far as profession, I have had to spend a lot of time around colleagues that made more money in a year than I will probably make in 10. Physicians, RN’s PA-c, NP, CRNP, CRNA, Attorneys, Social Workers, Judges, etc and I can tell you not one of them had any tattoos that were visible and we worked closely enough I would see as well as having tattoos we did discuss on more than one ocassion. There were a couple that had their children’s footprints, marriage dates, spouses name and a few others but they were never visible. I think we all have reasons why we do and do not have tattoos and I for one just prefer the skin I was given. I don’t think it’s how you feel about them or whether you feel you shouldn’t or shouldn’t get them but most colleagues state they didn’t feel in their profession it was not only not appropriate but didn’t feel they would be taken serious. I think you can have tattoos but they don’t necessarily have to all be visible.
I can see why cuddlers wouldn’t want to cuddle with someone that had tons of make up on. I wear very little at any time but a dot of foundation under each eye to cover my old lady wrinkles, mascara and 24 hour lip color and sometime I don’t like wearing that. I wouldn’t want someone getting make up all over my clothes. But that’s me.
@keira I have agreed with a lot of your points but one comment I don’t agree with. “I think tattooed moms make the best moms actually” I am hoping it wasn’t worded correctly and you feel Moms with tattoos are just as capable of child rearing as those of us without. I have kids 15, 23 and 25 and I am very proud of the respectful women I have raised and the man my son will become.
@Keira
After reading your profile and the kindness, empathy and understanding that you must possess based on your words, no hair color or tattoos would deter me from wanting to see you if I lived closer.
For me it is the person, their heart and their integrity in all of this that matters most. Someone one can trust to listen without judgement and feel comfortable being vulnerable with.
I wish I could get away with dying my hair, seems women are able to get away with it more often lol
@pmvines you will scare your fur babies! ?
@CreativeCuddles So long as I still smell the same they should be ok lol. I have in the past had blue hair purple and green hair. Have had dreads, a mohawk, and hair as long as almost to the waist. I don't have any ink, although I did have multiple piercings when I was younger like highschool age through early 20s. Was mostly what are referred to as play piercings, and often didn't even really keep jewelry in and holes would grow back over. Mostly just done for the heck of it, and never done by a professional, always by myself or by a friend.
@CreativeCuddles You seemed to misunderstand the comment... I said that tattooed moms make the best moms... Meaning women with tattoos are even better moms than women without tattoos. Women with tattoos have life experience and personality.
@Brant76 Thank you That is a very sweet compliment.
@CreativeCuddles Oh I see what you're saying. I'm just complimenting women with tattoos. I really don't think it makes a huge difference either way when it comes to child raising.
@keira I didn’t misunderstand the comment as even in your post defending the comment you stated the same thing. “Tattooed moms make the best moms, meaning moms with tattoos are even better moms than women without tattoos.” “Women with tattoos have life experience and personality.” It not only doesn’t make a huge difference, it makes no difference. That would be like me saying I think Moms with no tattoos make better moms. That is an unfair statement and one I wouldn’t make here or behind closed doors.
Complimenting someone on their tattoo is one thing but stating they are better moms and have life experience and personality? I beg to differ. I will complete this post and not comment on this topic any further as I don’t feel the need to have to defend my parenting. Who my children have become is because of their father and I. I grew up with amazing parents, my children had 4 grandparents growing up. Life experience isn’t a tattoo, it’s college, travel, new life, death of my mother and brother, marriage, career, friendships, mental illness and passion for the elderly and paying it forward and yes even cuddling. Those are what we call life experiences, a tattoo cannot replace what I have lived nor would I want it to. I prefer the life experiences and in addition to all that experience above, my love for my children, my granddaughter and to live life as my mother wished and that was to live life as if anyone were ever to speak badly of you nobody would ever believe it and that my Dear Keira is where I got my personality.
I really can't even believe someone over anaylzed and read THAT much into a simple comment I made giving a compliment to tattooed moms. I wasn't comparing them to moms without tattoos. I was just making a point that women with tattoos are very capable mothers. Pretty sure a woman with no tattoos doesn't really need to defend herself as a mother. No one is going to judge you for NOT having tattoos as a mother, but plenty of people will judge a mother who has tattoos. It seems like you're really just looking for something to be offended by because it really doesn't make any sense that someone would take me complimenting women with tattoos that way. You read way too much into that and put your own interpretation on it.
I think it definitely matters where you are cuddling. I would imagine that people seeking cuddlers in large/ progressive cities would expect to encounter lots of folx with died hair, piercings, and tattoos. People in small towns in the Midwest or the South probably wouldn't expect this as much. As a result, it might be a bigger barrier/ a bigger surprise.
Kiera, since you're doing lots of cuddling in large cities in California, I think you'll likely be fine. Also, red is definitely tamer than blue or green imho.
Makes sense. Thank you @acuddlefan I've met a few down to earth people so far that I'm sure wouldn't mind the red hair.
@Keira, glad to hear it.
I must heartily disagree with the statement: "...women with tattoos are even better moms than women without tattoos." But I understand that when you are single and 28, a tattoo might signify "life experience and personality." That seems a bit shallow. I may not have a tattoo but I've flown airplanes, raised children with all of my heart, helped people in need, skydived, bought three houses, written songs, traveled the world, managed intelligent professionals and invented things which are in production and use. It sounds boastful now that I've written these things down (for the first time ever) but I'm trying to make the point that life experience and personality are composed of great things you do, not the superficial things you'll regret when you are 40.
@Keira bet you didnt know you would have caused so much controversy lol. Re your question i say do it if it feels right. You can always change it to something else....
I second the motion from @pmvines. That red/orange hair seems to look gorgeous on you, and you should go for it if it feels right. Hair grows out anyway so if you don't like it you can go back.
Yeah, it's a little ridiculous that people are reading so much into that statement. It was a compliment towards women with tattoos. Nothing more.
Hair product could be a thing i mostly where head wraps when i cuddle i think another thing would probably be makeup ive cuddled before going out and makeup transfer occurs otherwise i have an eclectic taste and style so it doesnt bother me if someone has tats or piercings
I mean, I love dyed hair, I think tattoos are great... not crazy about all piercings, but the upper ear piercings, eyebrow, non-septum nose piercings, and belly studs are fine. I'm... iffy on snakebites. (The only piercings that particularly bother me are ones that I've seen cause damage to the human body or just feel could be especially damaging to the body based on my experiences--I work in the medical field, I've seen some things.)
It comes down to personal taste, and you're never going to please everyone, so... honestly? You do you, and don't worry.
@UKGuy: +1
I have passed on many professional cuddlers due to visible tattoos, piercings, and hair dyed some unnatural color. Thank you for asking. It does indeed matter to me. Regarding makeup? I never had thought about it, but what's the point? Perfume is a definite no-no for me. And regarding lip stick or lip gloss, well, let's just say that when a water glass was found in the house with lip gloss on it, it did not go well for me that day. Or that week. She hasn’t spoken to me in a week. And when she does decide that she wants to talk, it may mean the sacrifice of CC for me. Maybe I can blame it on a different cuddling website... TBD
@calineur Rutro! Hope you find your way out of that one. Ladies, no make up on outcalls please
Personally I can't imagine a person's hair color impacting whether or not I want to cuddle with them.
Think no matter what you do you will attract people and repel others. Usually I just go with what makes me the most happy since I've got to live with myself most of the time anyway.
I personally think tattoos are an excellent way to connect with the world and other people. Every tattoo has a story, whether it's deep and connected to that person's life or comes down to their impulsive personality. You'll always learn about someone based on how they choose to decorate their body. I think it's a really beautiful thing to be able to express your internal mind in a tangible way, and I feel that many open-minded people feel similarly. Of course, everyone's entitled to their preferences, but it never hurts to expand your mind and horizons.
I have a tattoo and brightly colored hair though, so my opinion is pretty transparent from the get-go.
Isn’t cuddling supposed to be about an energy connection, not about looks? Lol
I have no qualms about hair, tattoos or piercings so long as they don't interfere with the cuddling experience. Some people may have piercings in areas making cuddles uncomfortable, but that depends on the person. Now, if tattoos make a cuddle bad, then that person is just uncomfortable in general with your tattoos, and there's a bigger problem.
@manticorp Beautifully said. Tattoos are art and they tell a story. I only have a couple but I plan on getting more when I find the right artist. I'm really picky about them. I like the realistic/detailed art work, not big on the "sailor jerry" tattoo style.
@Keira If you make the statement saying that tattooed moms make the best moms and are better moms than non-tattooed moms because they have experience and personality you are comparing despite your claim that you were not. Then to double down and say people are ridiculous for thinking that you were comparing is insulting to other people’s intelligence. Words matter. The denials you are making about what you said is tantamount to saying that your words do not matter. And to say that people without tattoos have less experience and personality is ludicrous. It is a poor conclusion and a shining example why you should never put groups of people in a box.
@FunCartel You're proving that people really will find ANYTHING to be offended about. I can't even take this seriously. I'm still in shock that people are actually offended about having bare skin. I complimented tattooed women. Nothing more. Other people decided to read way too much into what I said. If someone is seriously offended by having bare natural skin and reading way too much into comments a stranger made on the internet than they're insulting their own intelligence themselves.
Kiera, that Photoshop of you looks more on the orange side to me. lol. I like orange (not that shade, though really bright kind). I think bright red is cool as well, like traffic stop, I guess. ?
It depends, the more the tattoo and piercing plus, the placement of them: the more it has the potential to turn some away. As well as the types of tattoo and piercing. Some people might not like what one has. As a general rule, I'd probably fit under the type of clothing you often wear: long sleeve, short sleeve, chest/neck covered, not covered, etc. Following those tips can help you integrate more. Though, sometimes, it's also good to do what you want for yourself. I noticed you are a pro, so you generally care some more about how others perceive you. Hope our feedback helps you navigate better.
