Is there a bullying culture here?

I'm beginning to see a trend here and it's not a great one. I've had lots of message discussions with some really nice women. The males, however, are a different story entirely. Now, in day to day life I interact smoothly and get along with pretty much every guy I encounter. We share laughs, information, well wishes...….but here....not so much, so far. It seems to me that there's a bit of a bullying culture here with gay and bisexual males teaming up and ganging up on straight men.

First, one will make some kind of comment questioning a straight male's choice to cuddle/touch women but not men. Then when the straight male defends himself and his choice, other gay or bi men normally chime in supporting the person who started the conflict. I've begun looking at profiles and definitely see a pattern. Why it's allowed I have no idea. Why it's necessary I have no idea. Whatever happened to the "to each his/her own" mentality? I've learned to accept that some men want to lay down with other men a long time ago. Wasn't always that way, of course, having grown up in a lower middle class neighborhood in the 60s and 70s. But now, certainly. I mean, normally gay people aren't even on my radar these days. And now here I am trying to coexist and all I see are them picking fights. Yes....PICKING FIGHTS! Why can't you guys just cuddle each other and leave other people alone???

We've gone way past your type being ostracized from society, all the way to you seeking out others not like you to start trouble with? For years I've watched and listened to the "LGBTQ" community ask for, demand acceptance and tolerance. Well how about practicing what you preach?? Leave people who are not like you alone please!

Comments

  • Straight men are not valued in the world it is what it is

  • I’ve been reading the posts and discussions. This is my first chime in. I agree with you. It seems as though the majority of participants are the same and their opinions are the only ones that matter.
As a straight male, I only want to cuddle with women. I am not looking for anything more than cuddling. I choose not to cuddle with men. I like the softness and smell of a female. I am not homophobic and have closeness with male friends but guys generally are more solid and have a roughness to them. I don’t want to cuddle with that. I want a feminine body next to mine.
Is that wrong? I’m sure we’ll find out by opinion!!

  • I once made a comment that I only wanted to cuddle CIS females. That didn't go over well. The majority of responses were that I was looking for more than cuddling. As a grown @ss man do I need to explain my preference?

  • One would think not. Unless someone has been reported for seeking more than platonic contact, whether in writing or in person, they shouldn't be harassed.

@Fairbutfirm Well said and I'm extremely happy you decided to post this. Last night, I noticed @mickcuddle posted a discussion on him leaving the website due to it turning into a "meat market." In other words, I believe he's trying to say this website is filled with hostile-macho-alpha-testosterone-raging-men. It's unfortunate how any guy on here who answers "No" to being asked if they'd cuddle another man is automatically deemed an a-hole who disrespects women and hates gay people (aka = Meat Market). If you think I'm being dramatic, just read some recent discussions and you'll see for yourself.

For those who don't know, on the very SAME day there were back-to-back discussion/polls that asked the same question regarding straight man-to-man cuddling (Both already closed by mod). Here’s some verbiage from both:

“the ones who insist on only cuddling women, ever be willing to hang out with another guy and just touch each other? Even if it's hanging out next to each other on the couch, or maybe mutually hugging each other if you're depressed and feeling down. If the answer is a resounding "no", then I think we have a problem that's contributing to our cultural loneliness.”

“If you are a man AND are not romantically or sexually attracted to men: are you willing to cuddle with another man? Keep in mind that I'm using the broader term. An example: two of you are sitting watching TV and leaning on each other, slightly, shoulder to shoulder but not necessarily touching from shoulder to feet.”

The original poster mentioned the question being very "Important" and "To Prove a Point." In reality, the question is completely irrelevant that proves nothing. Look at the last sentence of the first example and tell me how this is not total nonsense.

Do me a favor, go ask every straight man in this country the following: "ever be willing to hang out with another guy and just touch each other?" (exact words the poster used in his question) You should be prepared to receive a lot of "Hell No!", "Are you kidding me?", "Never!", and "No f-ing way" responses. HOWEVER, these answers along with a simple "No" and be prepared to be part of the "Meat Market." Just look at this response from someone because a guy said "Never":

"It's so interesting the people who take the time to comment, "never". It's almost aggressive. How unfortunate."

You see what I mean? This is just 1 sample from many.

Apparently, this isn't something new because the moderator mentioned it "getting old." However, he also said "Enough is Enough" and I truly hope people respectfully comply.

  • Excellent points. Thanks!

  • Yes there but I wont name any names, some ppl on here try and push there views on other folks and im tired of it

  • @luv2cudl2 I believe @mickcuddle was referencing the ongoing back and forth , not just in the threads you referenced but more cumulative . And he is neutral on a lot of topics regardless of his own beliefs when it comes to conversing on the forums . I don't believe he's saying he is frustrated because of one side or another , more so it's due to the back and forth debating that often can get out of hand

  • @pmvines I think that is exactly why he is leaving.

@pmvines @FunCartel Okay. I'm just trying to piece it all together and was using his most recent post as a reference. That post happened to be in 1 of the threads I mentioned above. He felt the OP was being attacked and basically mentioned "have nothing nice to say, then say nothing." However, I didn't see any attacks to the OP rather straight guys just answering the question.

What causes a thread on a website forum to get heated and out of hand? Usually. it's rare to see it happen right away. In the majority of cases it starts going downhill when someone goes completely off topic, relating topic to another controversial topic, or blatant sarcasm towards OP due to asking such a topic.

Since I enjoy posting new discussion topics, I see this happen often and it's quite annoying.

MOD Edit: removed personal attack [SoulcuddlerZ]

@Fairbutfirm Agreed Sir. I definitely sense a hostility here towards straight men judging by some of the forum comments. Both by men and women. They read on our profiles that we will "only cuddle women" and not everyone. Very few are accepting of that and it bothers them.

IMO @Fairbutfirm you should be careful...next thing you know your account would be banned because you "attacked" and mentioned "awful" things about the almighty gay community.

MOD Edit: removed personal attack [SoulcuddlerZ]

  • @satuko I thought I was careful : ) But I certainly was not kidding. It's undoubtedly real and I do think the site owners and moderators will do what they can to calm things down as always.

MOD: comment removed - baiting [SoulcuddlerZ]

  • @grumpy_cat sarcasm can be another form of bullying when used with hurtful intentions.

  • @luv2cudl2 Uh I was just saying I think pmvines was right about why mick was leaving and now you target me? Duly noted and reported.

I’m new here, and I’ve been reading these recent forum posts and it’s just funny that no matter what or how innocent the site is people always gotta get stupid in comments/forums.

@grumpy_cat It’s funny seeing straight guys say they are attacked by women and gay folk. ❄️ I was blocked by someone commenting on here (not gonna name him but let’s just say 🍄⭐️🐢) just for... being gay and looking at his profile I’m guessing?

I contacted a straight guy because his profile said “everyone” which one would assume means EVERYONE. He said nope only females, I said ok and moved on.

I had a straight guy message me even though his profile said women.

So... let’s calm down everyone it’s a bit ridiculous. Might be time to put the phone down, go out side and get some fresh air.

You can @ me all you want just know I won’t reply. ✌🏼Stay gay.

A lot of other genders? There are only two genders as far as I am concerned.

  • @justsumotherguy Wait....what does "stay gay" mean??? I thought I wasn't a choice? Now it is? Really confused.

  • @grumpy_cat I was thinking the same thing. Ironic when the oppressor becomes the oppressed.

  • @grumpy_cat "what is even this thread" Not really sure what you were trying to ask here? But the better question is.....what HAVE they been feeding you? Oh sorry, that was smelly, not grumpy. : )

  • [Deleted User]SoulcuddlerZ (deleted user)

Ok folks, that's it here. @Fairbutfirm I would say you got your point across.
