Friend requests

I have no idea when I get friend requests, and it takes me days to get back to it sometimes because I forget its even a thing.
I really think there should be a notification for that. :)

    I think we get e mails when we get friends requests or at least we used to.

    I usually dont check my email. too much spam :(. Id like a notification like the messages has. Like maybe color in the red heart symbol if there is friend requests. and leave it white if there is none. ? :)

    Having a friend list on here seems like an easy way to list your top contacts. Not unlike facebook.

    Yeah I don't just "add everyone", and I don't get a million requests, but the ones I do get I ignore for days because I don't know its there.

     usually anyone out of my state/ country or are just random I don't add (with a few acceptations)

     I add people that I message often/ regular or repeats or if they seem super awesome, it can be nice to have them on a friends list ^.^

    How are other people requesting or receiving requests? I.E is it sent prior or after exchanging messages?

    I'd have thought people would share messages before requesting friendship or are people just using like fb requests?

    Since we established that this is not an over overused or even well understood feature of CC, What about those people who unfriend you (I don't even know if this possible), after you worked so hard to friend them? How about degrees of friend, good friend. best friend,....should just anybody be able to unfriend you?

    I received two email notifications of friend requests, but when the unprofessional pro unfriended me, I did not get a notification.

    It is quite useful to have two email addresses. Keep one secret and use the other one for signing up to things. Every now and then check the non-secret address for emails you actually want to receive and then set up a filter to forward those types of emails to your secret address. That way you can set up your secret account on your phone (or however you prefer to check it) without having to worry about all the spam that goes to the non-secret one.

    I use junk@mailleweaver to sign up for everything, and I don't care who has it (from sites selling it or sites getting hacked) since it's strictly a catch-all for spam. In that account I have a few types of messages set up to be forwarded to the private account that I actually use for communication with people. I just recently set it up for Cuddle Comfort emails to forward to my private account when I found out the hard way that there's no on-site notification for friend requests.

    It's also more secure this way since I can set up that spam account (which is the gateway to all my other online accounts) with a very long, secure password without having the inconvenience of typing it in all the time, and the private account that I access much more often can have a more human-friendly password that I can remember and type easily.

    You do have the option, if you use gmail, of inserting labels into an email address. If my email were ilikesmartwomen@gmail.com, I could create an address of ilikesmartwomen+cuddlecomfort.com@gmail.com when registering. This would let me find and sort based on emails to this address. I could also use ilikesmartwomen+putthisinthetrash@gmail.com, and create a rule to put all email with that label in the trash.
