Does having lots of karma mean that you're an exceptional cuddler?

Karma on this site is a feedback tool offered to all it's members: pro or non pro. It's an excellent way to share publicly one's experience with a particular person: good or bad. To give genuine feedback that serves to validate someone and the time shared with him or her. It's also another form of verification of identity and character for a potential cuddler who is unsure about choosing to cuddle with someone. And it also serves to give some comfort and safety to a person about another.

And this topic has also been addressed from other perspectives before in these forums.

However, I wanted to explore more thoughtfully the following questions regarding how karma is used and perceived by different people.

  1. Does having many people say how great their experience is with you necessarily make you an exceptional cuddler?

  2. Does the complimentary feedback of others about their experience with a potential cuddler provide a reliable means for gauging the kind of cuddle experience one is likely to have with a potential cuddler?

  3. Should one use one's cadre of karmas from others to advertise his or her offering to a potential cuddler?

  4. When does highlighting one's karmas from others to potential cuddle interests cross the line from self advertising to narsisistic behavior?

Each person's experience with another is unique. The karma feature allows one to validate that experience and establish safety and relatability to others.

  1. However, to what extent should one use it as a tool to evaluate one's cuddling, interpersonal relations and communication skills?

In other words,

  1. How far should one go in using karma given by others to rate oneself or another as a great, exceptional, good, weak, terrible or poor cuddler?

  2. And should and/ or does it necessarily have to be done at the expense of or exclusion of potential cuddlers?

At least potential cuddlers who do not specifically match the qualities in picture, profile or persona that one maybe looking for.

  • No it does not mean much. I have received karma from someone that I know I was not a good cuddle partner for in the session mentioned. But she was also looking for something more than a platonic relationship. I appreciated the karma, but I had to break off communication with that person.

  • No, it does not. Platonic cuddling sessions are too intimate for me to base my opinions on others that I don't even know.

  • If you have two arms and can cuddle, I'd give you 5 stars. So no, it doesn't say anything about if you're a good cuddler. But it does say something about if you can be trusted.

  • I don’t think karma in high quantities means very much. I think it just means a person cuddles a lot. [For men, I think that generally means “sees pros”. (Not judging.)]

I do think having one or two good reviews reduces the likelihood that a cuddler would fail to respect boundaries, or misunderstand what a platonic cuddle entails. Beyond that, I believe the quality of a person’s karma can say a lot. I know I look at how cuddlers are reviewed as well as how they review others.

Bles, you’re farther away than I would ordinarily travel for a cuddle. But your karma prompted me to soften my position on distance. Now, as soon as this 🦠 goes away, I imagine I will gas up the 🚗.

    😊

  • I don’t think men’s karma is always pros. I have a good mix of pros and enthusiasts.

  • I look at karma on people that message me and request a cuddle. I think as a female pro it helps me feel a little more “safe” if a person has good karma. I realize it’s not always accurate and I don’t base my entire opinion of a potential client by their karma, but it does help.

  • Another great feature for karma especially on a prospective cuddlers page, you can message the person that gave the karma and ask them personally how they were.

I also think it depends what the karma says. If it just says “great cuddler” it’s a little flat. But if the karma clearly speaks out that their time was amazing with them and something special was picked out that made it extra special to them, it matters all the more.

  • As a professional who requires deposits, I hope my karma at least tells you I'm legit and not going to take your money and disappear. 😇

  • Has anyone actually seen or heard of any less than stellar karma being posted for a cuddler? My first thought is that most people who have cuddled someone in person would either default to 5 or leave no karma at all just to avoid any confrontation about why they didn't leave a 5 or none at all.

  • I’ve seen quite a few bad ones. Most of them are about them being a no show.

  • Lot of karma means they saw a lot of people and so they are probably not an axe murderer or rapist cause you would assume one of those would have said so...
But as for the quality of cuddling. The number of karma is irrelevant what matters is what the karma says.

  • @Bles How many reviews do you consider to be "lots"? One cuddler I met when she just had a few now has over 50. And yes, I would say that it means that she is a great cuddler. What I can say about her is that she obviously treats all her clients equally well. As far as I know, anyway. Of course that doesn't mean that those with fewer reviews aren't great also. But I would definitely expect it from someone who has that many positive reviews.

  • "A good landing, is one you can walk away from"
"A very good landing, is one after which the aircraft is able to take off again"

Cuddles are probably rated the same way. "Any hold's a goal"

  • I don't think having lots of Karma means you're exceptional cuddler ( whether someone is exceptional is all subjective anyway ) it just means you've met lots of people. The same as someone with little to no Karma doesn't mean they're a bad cuddler it just means they haven't connected with a lot of people or the people they have chose not to leave Karma good or bad.

  • I have a good deal of karma but I don't consider myself exceptional with anything really much less cuddling lol

Thank you all for your comments.

Having read each and every one of your comments I think it is fair to conclude the following:

1 . Karma is a subjective feedback of one person's experience with another. Hence the number given only shows how many people one has connected with and how they felt about having been with one. It doesn't reflect the quality nor skill of any particular cuddler.

    1. That for one to assign quality and skill to any one cuddler with many reviews, the karmas themselves would need to describe in greater detail what the experience was like with the person involved: how engaging s/he was, how they felt while being cuddled by the person and so on.
    2. And even with more detailed comments, karmas still don't necessarily reflect quality nor skill since each and every individual is so unique and different. Hence every cuddle experience is also unique and different.
    3. Love that comment @geoff1000 that' any hold's a goal'. Once you've held or been held and are comfortable and happy then one has achieved a goal. The quality of the score is mere aesthetics to the body or arm beholding it
    4. @calineur "lots" for me is generally more than 10. I don't quantify in numbers. But I'd say if 10 folks have cuddled with you and are willing to share their experience than that's a lot.
    5. @holdenCaulfield looking forward to that day.
    6. Karma reviews establishes trust and a reputation that holds one to at times greater expectations than one with less reviews. It can be used as a great self advertising tool.

Again thanks and keep the discussion going.
