  • Pros and Karma are probably unique to a platonic site ; we should be grateful for that, and make the most of it.

A man who wanted to improve his dating chances, might hire a "working girl" ; but probably wouldn't mention that on his Tinder profile.

Indeed, the one time I almost had a cuddle with a non-pro on this site, it was with a woman who messaged me due to my presence on the forums, so maybe being positive on the forums as @ubergigglefritz says is a good method. (I found sending messages to non-pros to basically be equivalent to sending letters into a black hole.)

OTOH if you really don't want to pay for cuddles there's actually a better option: go somewhere where women are. Even if it's somewhere that's not explicitly for cuddles. Whether that's a dating app, a meetup group, or whatever. Of course meeting women always takes a lot of time and effort for most men, but at least it's possible if you go somewhere that women are actually at (ie not this site).

I feel for all the other men on here. I think it's hysterical that the women who cuddle on here think it's a "job" and justify that they should be charging $100 an hour. Cuddling isn't a job.

  • [Deleted User]Robert87 (deleted user)

I also think it's hilarious that some girls charge to go on dates (and expect the man to pay for everything above their fee) and to video chat. They probably should go on sugar daddy websites if they want men to pay for that. LOL

  • I am just going to mention, if you don't get a single reply on this site you're no worse off than never being on here. That being said if you're putting in a lot of effort then that's simply not sustainable. If the effort is low enough you will never notice. Low effort is key, I guess.

Personally I think the guys should just cuddle eachother. Or other physical contact stuff like back tracing or whatever they're comfortable with. That would solve a lot of the situation if people were okay doing that. Women aren't required.

  • Let’s say a cuddler books five two-hour sessions a week at $100/hour. That’s $52,000 a year that could easily be made while still having another full time job and/or going to school. That doesn’t even count overnight sessions (often charged $500-$1500) and other fees. Seems like a pretty good gig.

^ Cuddlers don't make that type of money. They probably make a few thousand a year at the most. If women could make $52,000 a year cuddling more women would be doing it.

  • @Robert87 “Cuddling isn't a job.” If that’s how you feel, no one will ever be able to convince you otherwise. But don’t insult those of us who really care and are passionate about this work. 😇

@quincyq03 It would be very difficult for someone to book that many sessions while working a full time job. Lots of hours are spent on admin work, communication, prep, etc. There is a lot of time required outside of the session. Anyway, I know lots of professional cuddles (not on here, some don’t do anything else), and few have that level of business. It’s not easy.

@Robert87 “If women could make $52,000 a year cuddling more women would be doing it.” Not true. Most people can’t cut it, and women just in it for the perceived rate of income generally aren’t very good, so don’t get much business... 🤷🏻‍♀️

  • [Deleted User]Robert87 (deleted user)

@ubergigglefritz Cuddling isn't a job. I imagine you're not making 30, 40, 50k a year to support yourself? I imagine you don't put it on your résumé or your LinkedIn? What do you tell people what your occupation is when they ask? Do you say you cuddle for a living? Do all your friends and family know what you do?

  • If people don't want to hire a pro cuddler, they don't have to ; in the same way that they don't have to hire many other workers, such as window-cleaners or gardeners. They don't have to : go to the movies, buy music CDs, or eat out in restaurants. They don't have to fly away on holiday, or use a taxi ; or otherwise indirectly hire many other professionals.

However, if you are trying to get an enthusiast ( = volunteer ) to do something for free, they probably won't be impressed if you express the view that pros doing that activity should only charge say $10 an hour. If that were the rate, no-one would do it, so the rate would be academic.

  • @Robert87 @ubergigglefritz actually does make a full time income from cuddling. She travels and has regulars across the country. Most may not make full time income but some who provide quality service do get repeat and referral clients and do very well. Some are probably in a higher tax bracket than you.

Yep, it’s pretty much slim pickings for true enthusiasts, but hey, we’re in a capitalist society and women call the shots in matters of affection, attraction, and physicality.

  • [Deleted User]SanFranResident (deleted user)

@Robert87 I understand your resentment. Yes, it's frustrating that many men struggle to find any woman who will show him physical affection, while women have men paying them for the same. It's nuts. But it's the way the world works - men like women a lot more than women like men. What good does it do to take your frustrations out on women? Obviously pro cuddling is a job; how does it help anyone for you to try to make cuddlers feel bad about what they do?

@Robert87 I don’t make that much, but I make enough to support myself, yes. I don’t put it on my resume, because you don't need a resume to hire yourself, lol. Not seeking employment... It is on my LinkedIn, I do tell people this is what I do when someone asks, all my friends and family know about it, it’s on my Facebook, I have a website, and a Facebook page. Any other nosy questions to qualify myself to you. 🙂

@snuggleme123 Appreciate the support and the body of confidence, ha. I personally know some cuddlers who do VERY well. I don’t make too much, but I make enough, plus a little. I made decisions in my life to drastically reduce expenses exactly for this reason. Reduced stress and increased ability to do what I love in my life. I was never happy being a slave to a higher income employed job, so I made changes. 🤷🏻‍♀️

If I made too much more than I need (including some for savings and retirement), I would probably reduce my rates. I’m not in this to become wealthy or a millionaire, but I need enough. I actually do care about being accessible to people of different incomes, but at the same time, I have found that people who don’t value me aren’t very pleasant to spend time with, lol. I love my clients. This pandemic sucks. 😝

  • The main problem is this site proposes a safe place to get platonic, simple cuddles. The women say ok I will try, and their inbox is hit with a tsunami of some good, some desperate, some questionable and some flat sick. (referencing two yrs of thread testimonials) Is it any wonder why most run? Its not that there are too many men on this site...there are too many dicks.

  • edited June 2020

@snuggleme123 yes I have a friend on here who joined just a couple of weeks ago and within the first day had a total stranger message her "how much for all night "? She had no idea that a pro cuddler was even a thing lol . So I can see where the lure of money is there for some women . But in her case , the whole thing just made her feel skeezy

  • @snuggleme123 is 100% correct about what happens when a non-professional female joins... I would have ran if I didn’t discover and fall in love with the professional side. Creeps who want free cuddles don’t message anymore and creeps who want professionals generally don’t pick me. So problem mostly solved. 😇 And I wouldn’t have gotten to meet and cuddle with everyone I have in these two years otherwise. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@snuggleme1238 What is a "full income" to you?

"Some are probably in a higher tax bracket than you." LOL I can guarantee you they don't make more than me who works full time.

  • [Deleted User]Robert87 (deleted user)

@SanFranResident I'm not frustrated and I never said cuddling for money is bad. But it's not a job. It's something that somebody does for extra money. You're not going to support yourself 100% by cuddling.

  • @Robert87
I sustain myself with cuddling alone. I’m proof you’re wrong. And I personally know a few others. It’s a job. Through and through. An enjoyable one, but a job nonetheless.

  • [Deleted User]Robert87 (deleted user)

    @Sheena123 You make 30, 40, 50k a year just by cuddling?

  • Stop trying to figure out what we make yearly. You’re saying we can’t sustain ourselves with cuddling alone and I’m telling you I can. Just by cuddling, I can pay rent, car insurance, car payments, phone, gas, food and anything extra.
(It’s a job, is what I’m getting at..)

  • See, the problem is not too many men, its too many...

The smart people will get it.

  • I hate the word "job." It's my work and my passion and I 100% support myself with it. How much that is, is none of your business. I'm significantly happier and more fulfilled than I was sitting in a cube making four times as much. 🤷

    Rent: 800
    Car Insurance/Payments: 300
    Phone: 100
    Gas: 50
    Food: 200
    Extras: 300
    Total: 1,750

That is being VERY conservative. Since you file a 1099k, before taxes you would need to make about $2,000 a month. So you're saying at the VERY LEAST you make $24k a year? I call BS on that.

Look above. You can pay all those expenses just my cuddling? I call BS on that.

  • @Robert87 I've already proven it’s very easy to make $52,000 a year, just cuddling 10 hours a week. Some people could easily make much more than that.

@quincyq03 You're living in la la land if you think each pro is cuddling for ten hours a week and making $52,000 a year (before taxes).

More women would quit their job and cuddling if they could make that kind of money.

  • @Robert87 thats assuming $100/hr and no overnight sessions. Some cuddlers charge more and make much more. I’m sure cuddling has subsided some in recent months, but I’ve talked to pro cuddlers who have a very booked schedule on the regular.

  • This is a stupid argument. 😆 "You're lying." "I'm not." "You're lying." "I'm not." 🤣
