How do you initiate a cuddle?

  • @Mike403 I wonder if that's a bug that @SoulcuddlerZ and @Mark should be informed about.

  • @CrossFitNLattes - I doubt it. I see these threads all the time about being blocked for no reason. It happened to me on dating sites as well simply because I said "Hi". Being blocked doesn't mean anything other than that one person is not interested in talking to you.

  • I guess pro cuddlers are like bottles of wine or works of art ; people have their preferences, and some people are willing to pay huge amounts of money for something that other people might not think is particularly special.

A pro cuddle session can include the cost of travel and accommodation, and effort of both ; convenience might offset a high hourly rate.

A limo costs more than a cab, which in turn costs more than a bus.

  • @geoff1000 - The $100 fee for a texting buddy that pro is charging is laughable though.

  • @Mike403 right???!!! It's $100/week too so she's making mad bank on some suckers.

  • @CrossFitNLattes - If you ever used Twitch which is a streaming site for gamers, there are guys who will literally donate their entire paycheck to some e-girl he finds attractive... The only thing he gets out of it is her mentioning his name once. =)

  • How do you start a pudding race ?
    Sago

How do you start a cuddly toy race ?
    Ready, Teddy, Go

How do you start an athletics meeting ?
    With long jump leads

  • One thing to help with conversation (if you can) is of course to find common ground...
So, "Hey, it seems pretty quiet around here, you had any luck meeting anyone for cuddles?"

Then chances are you both talk about the difficult time you've had finding someone... and maybe even why they're looking, or other details that can help branch out the conversation.

And someone commented about "why would you want to cuddle with someone that has no karma / much of a profile." Well, everyone had no Karma at one point... some people are also shy / nervous about physical touch / cuddling / meeting a stranger, etc.

In regards to the blocking. I've definitely seen / heard of a lot of guys blocking other guys on here. Especially if you're local to them. (We don't need to get into the why.) It's not a bug.

  • It's sometimes hard to stand out from the 90 other guys who messaged her today especially if there isn't a lot on the profile to comment about.

  • In the UK version of "The Office" the Manager is given a stack of resumes / CVs to review. He drops half of them, unread, into the bin, explaining, "I want people who are lucky".

@CrossFitNLattes @Mike403 I have had people block me before in the conditions of no message, one message and even people I texted/met. Many people are flaky and if life does not go there way all the time, they just block. I have much positive Karma, cuddles and friends, so move on fro those that no longer want to be apart of my life. @ILikeWarmHugs Thank you! you are a great friend and much love to you ❤️brother!

  • @FishCuddles I’m blocking you now for no reason. LOL jk love ya brother. I’m blessed to be a part of this community that has made us friends.

  • Ya just never know who's on the other side of a given profile. Probability works against you guys but it's not the only force in the universe.

  • @littermate - Sites like this isn't good for a man's self esteem. I no longer worry about how many responses I'm not getting and enjoy making connections in the forums and focusing on other goals such as school.

  • @Mike403
    That's a good policy.

"Life" - What happens when you're busy trying to do something else.

  • Oh and, my favorite openers are from people who make a comment about my profile or my picture or something I've said on the forum. How are you is honestly my least favorite.

  • @littermate - I'm guilty of that. :( but it sometimes it gets a little discouraging to put a lot of thought in the first message if we don't know if we'll get a response.

  • @Mike403 Totally get it. Just thought I'd contribute as one of these rare birds called a female nonpro enthusiast.

  • @littermate I got my message from the pro that I posted earlier. I wasn't extremely rude in my response and think I got my point across well:

    Hi Victoria,
Where did that come from? I don't remember messaging you to request a session. Maybe you meant to send it to someone else.

    Oh
    Interesting
    My mistake ❤️

She admitted that she made a mistake. ;)

  • Many years ago, I was unemployed for a period of 6 months, and after so long spent applying for positions, and getting the occasional unsuccessful interview, I eventually concluded that my career would be "job seeker".

When I eventually did get a job offer, I got 2 more offers in the same week. I can only conclude that my resignation to failure, had somehow made my attitude more acceptable to an employer.

I passed my driving test in the same way. I pulled out from the test centre car park so badly, that I was certain I'd failed, and hence believed that I was just getting another hour of driving practice. With no chance of recovering the situation, there was no risk of me making a mistake which would cause me to fail ; and this relaxed attitude allowed me to perform at my best for the next 59 minutes, presumably well enough to make up for what must have been a "minor" error.

In "The Next Three Days" Russell Crowe tries to spring his wife from prison, and buys fake passports so they can leave the country. The seller tells him, "You want this too bad, you're going to f*** it up".

Maybe we guys should try to lighten up a bit.

    Hi works

  • I've been seeing a really great pro (my second one all time) repeatedly since January, minus the months of quarantining. She's over 30 years younger, as most of the pros are. It's not just that she's youthful and pretty, although that is nice. I feel safer knowing that it's just about cuddling, and friendship. I know it's not anything more. I would prefer not to spend money, but on the other hand it just feels clean and entanglement-free. Maybe I need to be talking about this on the therapist's couch, but I like simplicity.
I have a woman friend I've known for six years. She's been in and out of my life because she always needs something fixed. She doesn't ask for money but I'm driving her here and there. Her husband is of uncertain legal status in the US, from Peru. He also has drinking issues and has done time for something dwi related. They have a 3 year old boy. I've tried to hide out numerous times but she eventually gets a new phone and calls me up, and the cycle begins anew. She'll stay over with her son, which is an improvement over their home environment. I told her about my cuddling arrangement and she said she might want to be a pro (but not with me! 😩). I know I'm weak and susceptible for letting her back around but we just hang out and I suppose it flatters me while I'm doing all these favors gratis. I admit that I'm a lonely guy most of the time anyway. It's really no wonder that I'm single because I'm missing a backbone when it comes to women. I don't know how I meandered into the weeds from the topic of initiating a cuddle but it does feel good to anonymously unload. Of course if anybody wants to respond to this it can't hurt to listen.

  • @CrossFitNLattes Yep, I don't see any rudeness there. <3

@UCpaaHVg6u0 Sometimes, all "you should do this or that" thinking aside, some deals work for us. It sounds like this one does for you for now. <3

@SanFranResident Yo, thank you for your words. They were very helpful to me, especially the ratio part.
Man, I’ve been on this site for...quite a while now. I joined because I’m used to getting probably 30-60 hugs a week. (Im apart of the church lol) But when quarantine hit, I started to feel touch deprived which I’m sure we can all relate to.
I’ve cuddled with the same pro for a few months now. She’s dope, but the cost adds up. So I was looking for a non-pro as well. So hard! Man I was beginning to feel like something was wrong with me for real and I know I’m a great person but your right. The numbers make a lot of since. Took a lot of pressure off me. Cuz the constant non replies, the ones that fizzle out after like a couple messages and even the scams began to take a toll. I even started to feel a little desperate which pisses me off cuz That’s just not the kinda person I am. I’m super loving and give to a lot of people. So much I could say but too long to list. Anyway, thank you for your words brotha. I know you thought they were pessimistic but I found them helpful. ✊🏽

P.S. I finally found a non-pro cuddle buddy 🥳 God bless you guys on your search 🙏🏽

@born2soar1 You're welcome! I'm glad you found someone.

  • @Mike403 you have the right attitude. Most people I speak to on here i will never meet due to geography, but it is very important to have those connections as that is what keeps me on the site . When you stop looking at everybody on here in terms of cuddle pal potential and start looking at them as people you might connect and chat with , it really broadens your scope of reach. And even if they aren't local to you doesnt mean you wont end up crossing paths . I have met friends on here from different coasts due to them traveling through and vice versa, and some of my good friends who I talk to regularly are people i.have met here .

  • @pmvines you are definitely speaking some truth. You never know where life will bring you and those connections are crucial. I’ve met some wonderful souls on here.

  • @pmvines @ILikeWarmHugs - I would have probably left the site a long time ago if it wasn't for these forums.. I actually did for awhile when a pro I was seeing left the site, so I was booking through her directly. It's funny how a pandemic changes things. The cuddles are gone, but at least I can make new friends.

  • @ILikeWarmHugs @Mike403 I think it actually helps when you don't approach people as potential cuddle friends simply cus it allows you to focus more on the person and build that rapport and banter. Then if you ever do get to meet up , it is a bonus . I think that's what @Sheena123 is referring to when she says you need to show patience.
