  • @quixotic_life I agree. There were protests last time when Trump won, and tnis time, no matter who wins, I'm nervous there will be protests again. And in the Portland area, there have already been protests going on for the past several months.

  • @FlyingToaster ~ Exactly!!
Given the national and local races (the contentious runoff) ~ I'm for sure staying put Tuesday night and all day Wednesday.

  • I'm glad I live on the outskirts of town, so hopefully I will be away from much of the civil unrest that may arise from Tuesday's election.

  • In my area I see a lot of signs for both Trump and Biden and I live in a swing state. I honestly won’t be surprised either way. I’m just really helping the world will calm down.

I dunno. But I'm fairly certain that, no matter who wins, a great amount of the American people will still be just as against science and intellectualism, while being in support of systemic racism, gender inequality, and other ridiculous nonsense.

@UltimateChungus There likely always was a large amount of people that believed those things, but the past 4 years have legitimized their beliefs. It will likely take years to undo the damage caused over the past 4 years.

    @spuds

Yeah. Those issues I mentioned have pretty much always been around. However, I really don't think there's a means of undoing them. Mitigating them? Possibly.

  • All I need to worry about is snow... it snowed... it’s on the ground... it’s not leaving... I hate it...

But, hey, no crazy people running around breaking crap because of voting 😅 so I’ll stay in Canada for a tiny bit longer

  • @Parad0x your explanation was the best .. you make great key points! I however think Trump will win because of certain strategies & tactics amongst other things & I agree, the months that follow will be chaotic, especially if he wins again... I think an absolute winner will be announced up to 2 weeks after tomorrow due to mail-ins.

  • The polls put out by the Democrats say the Democrats. The polls put out by the Republicans say the Republicans. For the sake of the USA and the economy I'm hoping Trump gets re-elected. I believe the Democrats will attempt to subvert the constitution and destroy the economy.

@UKGuy can you elaborate ? How would it be subverted and destroy the economy? Not arguing , genuinely curious

  • This is how I feel about the current election.

  • OMG! Lol @Mike403 ~ Amazing & clearly timeless!!

  • Well... IDK what the big cheese result is... But I'm kind of stoked on some of our local results...

    Oregon Voters Approved:
The decriminalization of street drug possession
The therapeutic use of psychedelic mushrooms
    Higher cigarette and vaping taxes

    Portland area, voters Approved:
A new Portland police oversight board
    Universal preschool

And Portland is poised to shake up its City Council with a new commissioner, but the mayoral race (which has been a contentious runoff) is still too close to call.

Now to go look at all our other results... We sure had a packed ballot this go around!

  • at this point everything points to a Biden win.

  • Biden just needs to win michigan, right now. And it is over.

  • Biden just won Michigan. Election is over. Biden is now the president

  • The lawyers. Because Trump.

  • @chocolatey775 Nothing has been decided yet please don’t spread false information

  • Still tons of votes and contention to go . And its decided by electoral college anyway so this is all more a symbolic gesture than anything

  • Right? Let's wait until after the final decision before the mass riots and destruction begins.

  • @hugonehugall its not false information. Counting is over. Just finalizing . Almost all the remaining votes which are mail in ballots are coming in for Biden

  • Again let’s wait until they’ve actually been counted .... not all states have finished counting yet

Every business here has boarded up to prepare for the rioting. It's sad.

  • @Parad0x~ ur post was very well expressed. I don't have the political knowledge that others do, I have been learning over the past few years about this and you totally nailed what I've been examining, but could not have articulated it. Great post!

At this point, it looks like Clark County absentee ballots in Nevada will be the deciding factor.

  • Biden is now the winner. Impossible now for Trump to win.

  • @chocolatey775 would you please again let the results play out before you start spreading information.

  • Did anyone else stay up until 4 AM watching the election?
