Have you ever ended up liking or falling for a cuddle partner?

Regardless if it was with an enthusiast/ client or pro ... did you unexpectedly ended up liking the person or developing feelings for them... cuddling is such an intimate moment, & although we lead in a friendly - platonic matter, it seems like the chances of eventually liking someone or developing feelings for them from cuddling multiple times with them, or maybe in the first instance that this may happen

  • Thus far I've managed to dodge this particular bullet from my end of things. Thankfully.

  • I will admit that I had that happen, no love affair , but I felt a very strong friendship with a lady that lives a very long ways from me. We met here chatting thru a topic off of the home page. Then I noticed that she lives close to where I had a trip planned so after many messages back & forth I told her I would be in her area in a few months and she agreed to a meeting 1st. as she was new and a little nervous. and not a Pro, So we both agreed on breakfast, we chatted alot and after we were all done, I asked her if she felt comfortable going forward with a cuddle, I was so happy when she said yes. It was a great cuddle, we talked some more and cuddled up so tight together, we looked like a big pile of laundry on the bed.
I have never felt so in tune with another Lady. When it came time for her to leave, I told her that I now do believe in TRUE friendship in a 1st. meeting. We keep in contact and hope to meet up again one day !!!!! And I would drive 12 hrs. for a cuddle with her !!!!
Also, after many cuddles with a local Pro, I think of her as a friend, that maybe seem odd to some, but I'm OK with it. If for some reason we could never not meet up again for a cuddle, she will always be a friend in my heart.
I was once asked, if I had to pick between 1 million dollars and have NO friends in the world, or be broke and have a ton of friends, which would you pick-??, I said I'll take the friends every time. It would be a very boring & lonely life with out TRUE friends. The definition of a TRUE friend, well, I'll leave that more another topic & time, LOL

  • No. This has not happened to me

  • I have clients i really enjoy being with and have been with many times each. I enjoy their company and we have amazing conversation but I take what I do very seriously as a therapy. Both sides of the situation are vulnerable while cuddling so that makes it easier to connect. Its easy to fall for a person's kindness and looks but it's hard to fall for a client (it is for me anyway).
I'm grateful for the amazing clients I do have that respect me and appreciate what I do. I've been asked many times to go on a " date " with my client but I respectfully declined for professional reasons. I'm grateful for the opportunity to meet amazing men done this.

I have entirely expectedly ended up liking most of the people I've cuddled with. I mean, would I cuddle them if I expected I wouldn't like them?

    Romantic or sexual feelings, though—no.

Not sure how to answer the poll. Yes, I've ended up liking my cuddle buddies. One in particular I've gotten pretty dang close to. There are some deep feelings there. But falling for him? Sorry, no, I don't swing that way. (Or any way.) So do I say "yes" or "no" or "not gonna happen," or what?

Yes to the liking, no to the romance.

  • Ended up "Liking" (developed feelings for), or "Liking Liking" (have fallen for, or developed [romantic] feelings for)? ~ Because to me those are different.

I've developed feelings of appreciation and affection, that go beyond surface, for the people I've cuddled with and for a couple I have yet to cuddle with. I truly care about them and consider them friends.

Is that not "normal"? Do most people cuddle with people they don't care about beyond/outside of the cuddling itself?

  • Ok good points have been raised. I have feelings for any one I'm close enough to cuddle with just not romantic ones.

They are all at the least my friends, some of them my very close friends.

There are several I would honestly say I love, as people as friends and confidants but I've never fallen IN LOVE with one though if I'm completely honest with myself there are one or two I probably would have were circumstances different.

It can be a hard line to toe, and I certainly can't blame anyone who does. This is a very intimate way of life and feelings are messy complicated things they tend to just go off and do what they want.

You know the old saying, The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb. Sometimes the family we choose is closer to us than the one we're born into, it's not surprising that these bonds can sometimes grow beyond our initial intentions.

  • Lots of great answers! I think @NightShift39 & @ElleCuddleMi understood the post correctly (It was meant romantically) thank you all for your answers : )

  • You're most welcome, I enjoy topics that I have to put some thought into as in my day to day most things I do are just follow the known plan lol

  • I have not, but I've had clients who have developed feelings for me. I don't mind as long as they continue to keep things professional. The second they try to push boundaries, the sessions end.

  • @bekah_cuddles yes regardless if someone had developed feelings or not, pushing boundaries is completely unacceptable & “developing feelings” doesn’t give anybody an excuse to do so.

  • Some years ago a couple of CC cuddler enthusiasts met for a cuddle, they got married the next day and set off to see the country in an RV. For a while they posted pictures of their trip. So it does happen and I wonder where those two are nowadays.

  • Oh wow @cuddleversed i wonder if their postings is still up?!

  • That is an awesome and beautiful thing!!

  • @introvme I looked up the thread and I was off a little bit, they met and married the same day! the link for their travels is on the thread too. Those crazy kids

I mentioned this in a mother post/topic, but a pro I was cuddling with developed feelings for me. I don't know exactly to what extent because we both agreed to not contact each other anymore. Many times though, I felt like I was the therapist. Whatever she was going through I like to think that I helped her overcome some of it and made her feel safe. I'm cool with that, but I'm not here looking for more than the therapeutic side of cuddling, & I LOVE IT!

  • @cuddleversed thank you soo much for that!!! I was reading the thread & soon will read their blog (which was last update late 2019) they married 2016... this type of stuff only happens in book 📚 & on the big screen 📺 I can’t wait to read all about their journey, again thanks a million!!

  • Wow, married in a few hours.. That's awesome though, and I hope they're still doing well

  • Before I became a pro, I did end up dating someone I started cuddling with as an enthusiast from another website (this was about 4.5 years ago). However, it has never happened in my time as a pro, as the boundaries are much more clear. I've cuddled with many people over the years and very rarely catch feelings.

  • I'll be honest, I developed feelings for my cuddler. I booked my first session with her in Feb 2019. She had such a warm, gentle, caring spirit about her that was so prevalent. We talked about anything and everything for hours on end. She was going through a second divorce with 3 kids and she said she was not getting married anymore and she gave up on love. So naturally, that meant, no chance of love but that didn't make those feelings go away. We became great friends even to the point where if she didn't hear from me, she would reach out. My last session with her was in Feb before the pandemic started. I texted her a few times throughout summer and no response. She messaged me on Facebook and said her phone was stolen and she lost her contacts. We scheduled a date for a session. She contacted me the day before to cancel our session. Finally she revealed to me that she had a boyfriend and he didn't want her to do these sessions. That was fine, I can completely agree with where he was coming from. The part that hurt the most was the way she basically ended our arrangement. She basically said don't call me, don't reach out to me anymore, goodbye, and good luck. Again, I understood where she was coming from, I just felt like she could have worded it in a better sincere matter. So I haven't had a cuddle with anybody since Feb of this year and it sucks.

  • Cuddling and spending time with someone is the probably the easiest way for someone to form an attachment, or to like, catch feelings, or even fall in love.

It’s different if you are working. Then you are just a service provider and your priority to to take care of every one else’s needs so that you can receive payment. You will like some clients more than others but it’s still just work.

Figure out why you are here. Is it for money or physical affection? And then you will know if you will catch feelings or not when you find the person that gives you butterflies.

I love everyone who I invest my time with but as far as being in love no I don’t allow that as far as cuddle partners. It’s a rule of this site is it not? I mean after a while of bonding (eye contact, slow caressing, or things that would make you bond to a person) I am sure some lines will be blurry but you gotta set those rules for you and make sure you listen to your cuddle partner so that doesn’t happen and feelings don’t get hurt.

  • @verona - The rule has to do with your initial intent when you joined the site. If feelings happen to develop naturally, we're all adults and can make our own decisions. @Mark clarified that in another post.

  • @Mike403 I completely agree. Thank you.

Your honesty is highly appreciated @mallymal & thank you soo much @TouchSanctuary for sharing with us 🌌

  • I agree with @Mike403 about initial intentions and things developing later. Even if someone joins with only the intent to cuddle platonically, I'd think it's possible for feelings to develop, and if both people feel the same way, I don't necessarily see anything wrong with that. Communication is important though.

There was a thread just the other day where someone mentioned a couple of people who met here and felt like they found the love of their lives, and ended up married within a few hours. It sounded like they're still doing well (hopefully).

  • @introvme ~ I figured you probably meant "romantic" feelings, so thank you for clarifying.

I haven't really had that happen beyond a "cuddle crush" of sorts ~ Called a, "Squish" (a platonic crush, one where you like someone and want to be close to them, but not in a romantic way.)

But I have stressed over concerns related to the potential of, "Catching Feelings". After having found someone I really enjoy getting snuggly with, and them living just 30 minutes away (meaning regular cuddles could be a thing), I was really worried things could easily get "twisted" (not only have I seen multiple warning posts about that, I know me).

I fully believe we're on the same page though ~ And after some open and honest conversation on the subject, if one of us starts to develop feelings beyond those in an, "affectionate friendship" I'm sure we'll be able to talk about it and take a healthy break. Hooray for boundaries, communication and adulting!! Woot!

  • But why would anyone want a break if both people are developing feelings?

  • Off the top of my head? One or both are in relationships, are not ready to be in a relationship, don't want to risk an amazing friendship for a relationship that might not work out and could burn it all down in the process of failing. And that's without even putting real thought into reasons.
