I have been playing Munchkin lately. There was a game called stop thief I really enjoyed growing up. Clues were handed out on an hand held electronic device.
Lately I’ve also enjoyed different card games.

I especially dig coop games. Some favorites with my group are the D&D boardgames, Aliens (I usually play Ripley & Newt), the Cthulhu boardgames, and others that are pretty obscure.
My true love is miniature games like Warhammer 40K because painting and trying to get better artistically with them is something I enjoy, and also TTRPGs, but I don’t get a chance to play those very often.

I personally love chess and mahjong, but I really dont have anyone to play against anymore. My son use to play chess but not really interested anymore

I'm more for card games than board games these days, but I still enjoy this niche game I found: Magical Athletes. You take turns bidding on mythical creatures to be on your team, then race them one at a time against your friends with dice rolls. The calamity comes when the athletes' Magical abilities come into play and sabotage your opponents' chances... or your own lol
Spot It Taboo Speed I want to play it with more people, but it's some Unicorn collecting game.
Recently discovered cartographer! It’s super fun and easy to learn. Even had a good 1 player variation.

I'll list five current favorites. (No one is interested old Avalon Hill and SPI wargames!)
9 Lives: Trick taking game where you know the suits of the cards in the other players’ hands. Bomb Busters: Cooperative deduction game. Works best with four. Just One: Cooperative party word game. Let's Go! To Japan: Quick and fun card drafting game. Rebel Princess: Deluxe Edition: this is essentially Hearts, but where you are playing a fairy tale princess trying to avoid proposals from princes. Each princess has a power and each round there is a rule that changes everything.
Honorable Mentions: Fox in the Forest and Fox in the Forest Duet. The first is a well-designed two-payer trick taking game. The second is essentially the same game but it is cooperative instead of competitive.
As a nanny, I end up playing Battleship, Guess Who, Uno, Candyland, Sorry, and Trouble quite often.
