“I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass…and I’m all out of bubblegum.”
Surprised no one mentioned that one yet
There are way too many to choose from! But since I haven't heard this one yet, I'll add it to the list: "You probably heard we ain't in the prisoner-takin' business; we in the killin' Nazi business. And cousin, business is a-boomin'." -Lt. Aldo Raine, "Inglorious Basterds (2009)"
@doobiedoo86 I never heard that one and love it.
"Why don't you make like a tree, and get the f@#$ outta here!" -Boondock Saints
"You're meant to come down here and defend me from these characters and the only one I have on my side is the blood sucking lawyer!" -Jurassic Park
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is The Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee."
Jules in Pulp Fiction
“That rug really tied the room together.”
Jeffrey Lebowski in The Big Lebowski
“This aggression will not stand man”
"Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man."

If people treat you like an option, leave them like a choice
Gentlemen, this institution is now deconsecrated. Business may now be conducted on Continental grounds. Since you are refusing to step down and you are refusing a direct order, your lives are now forfeit. High Table emissaries will be joining you presently to see the removal of your souls from the property- Adjudicator John Wick 3
That "fckin' nobody"... is John Wick. He once was an associate of ours. They call him "Baba Yaga. Well John wasn't exactly the Boogeyman. He was the one you sent to kill the fcking Boogeyman. John is a man of focus, commitment, sheer will... something you know very little about. I once saw him kill three men in a bar... with a pencil, with a fcking pencil. Then suddenly one day he asked to leave. It's over a woman, of course. So I made a deal with him. I gave him an impossible task. A job no one could have pulled off. The bodies he buried that day laid the foundation of what we are now. And then my son, a few days after his wife died, you steal his car and kill his fcking dog. - Viggo John Wick (1st movie)
@CaptainChaos I adore John Wick and many vengeance filled action movies like his. Lol! Vengeance seeking characters ALWAYS get the best lines...OR! ☝️
They get the best "hype" movie lines said ABOUT them by another character in said movie.😄
Here's one of those "hypes" that I enjoy hearing in Man On Fire (remake with Denzel Washington, as I've never seen the original):
"A man can be an artist... in anything, food, whatever. It depends on how good he is at it. Creasy's art is death. He's about to paint his masterpiece. They're gonna wish, that they NEVER touched a hair on that little girl's head!"
-Rayburn, Man On Fire 🔥😊
Here's another one of those "badass hype movielines " from Peppermint, I just can't recall the character's name who spoke it. 🤦
I just know that the character was a cop talking hype about the Riley North character in Peppermint. 😊
"It's NOT a coincidence that this area is low crime, it's low crime because of HER!"
-from a cop about Riley North, Peppermint
Some of these might be dated but I do still get a chuckle from them and do love movies. If they offend, please let me know and I will happily take them down.
"When my brothers and I played cowboys and Indians, I was always the Chinese railroad worker." -Sheldon in Death to Smoochy
"Nihilists? F**k me. I mean, say what you like about the tenets of National Socialism, Dude, at least it's an ethos." -Walter in Big Lebowski
"Antica..........Pation" -Frank N. Furter in Rocky Horror
One of my favorite scenes in Clue: Professor Plum: "And what was your role in all this?" Wadsworth: "I was a victim, too. At least my wife was. She had friends who were" [on the verge of tears] Wadsworth: "Socialists." [all gasp, Mrs. Peacock releases a loud "my. god" in shocked exasperation] Wadsworth: "[starts to cry] Well, we all make mistakes."
"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room!" - President Muffley in Dr. Strangelove.
I got more but these always tickle me.
Edit: I actually watch Asteroid City last night and this quote popped in my head right after hitting send. I enjoyed the movie but I don't know if I'd suggest it. Augie Steenbeck: "I still don't understand the play." Schubert Green: "Doesn't matter. Just keep telling the story."
@lesmis33 - "Clue" ❤️
And WHO can forget this ONE, it was this scene from the trailer that prompted me to watch this movie in the theater years ago!😊
Lol
"I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you."
-Brian Mills, Taken
No, I didn't bother with the sequels the first Taken is enough for Me.👍
“I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.”
Roy Batty in Blade Runner
“There's a hundred-thousand streets in this city. You don't need to know the route. You give me a time and a place, I give you a five minute window. Anything happens in that five minutes and I'm yours. No matter what. Anything happens a minute either side of that and you're on your own.”
