Thus the best practice is to take the payment at the start for safety purposes, and hold firm on our boundaries even if it means we lose new clients. But it's a good idea to be aware of why some pros may not feel comfortable enforcing that, especially in the moment if they are having to chose between losing a client who is already in-person and bending their policy.
@cuddlefaery - yes and as for them worrying about being scammed, losing $100 or so would be a bummer but it isn't life changing like being sexually assaulted would be.
It does take time if you’re waiting for one person to respond but if you interact first and with multiple people, you’ll see it’ll pick up for you. There’s truly some amazing people on here.

@Katota yeah, it tends to be a code word in the dating apps and several niche communities as well. Since I'm big on the whole "informed consent for all affected parties" bit, it's usually an instant no for me.
I'm always tempted to point out to them that stating you need to be discreet on a publicly viewable profile or forums is rather NOT discreet 🤣 it instantly singles you out for scruity, even if your intent was discretion for work purposes.
Bro, hardly anyone responds. Those that do just end up ghosting you after a few back and fourth messages. Just pay for the pros if you want a cuddle. It could be something as little as half an hour. It is what it is.
Yeah, I don’t know. Maybe I live in an unlucky area, but I’ve been on here for almost five years and I’m fairly active. I get almost zero interaction in messages except from pros in other states or an occasional person who’s outside my preferred age range reaches out.
I check for new users in my state almost daily and I’ll send a short friendly greeting when I see someone new. I’ll ask a thought provoking question or comment on their profile. Almost no one responds. When people do respond, it’s usually one or two messages and they vanish.
In my message history, the majority of the people who’ve talked to me were either banned or deleted their account (or it’s “paused”). Ghosting is common, but that happens everywhere.
Sometimes I contemplate connecting with a pro, if I’m feeling desperate. I started talking to a pro recently and we had only exchanged maybe 2-3 messages back and forth, but she just stopped responding. I’m not sure if I didn’t cut to the chase and pay up fast enough? I’d like to have a brief conversation first below I blow a week’s salary for a cuddle session with a stranger.
Perhaps the most depressing exchange just happened tonight. A new user popped up and we started talking about cuddling. I asked her if she’s looking for someone to cuddle with and she said
“I joined to make money”
I know that money is the thing that keeps this site alive, but hearing that so bluntly was just another hit to my soul.
I’m just venting. I’m not giving up on this site, but unless you’ve got money to cuddle, or you enjoy the message board banter, or maybe you live in a fluky area that actually has active cuddle enthusiasts, the majority of us guys are more or less having similar results.

Unfortunately, this is common in society. It’s not exclusive to this site, the internet or even text messages/voicemails.
I overthink and my instinct is to send long, heartfelt, deep messages, but few people respond to that. Especially people you’ve never met.
Start small and build trust. Don’t give up!

Long heartfelt messages as openers are what people who do love bombing will do. This isn’t an instantaneous event with enthusiasts. Like you they want a platonic connection (if that is your true intent and you are being honest with yourself) so you should probably just open saying a couple of things about yourself and then ask them a couple of questions. A good lead question to ask is “What brought you to the site” or “how did you find this site”? Just have a conversation.
With that being said, an enthusiast or pro has no obligation to answer. No one is entitled to an answer on this site and sometimes it takes time. But it does happen and I have enthusiast and pro friends.
@BoomerSpooner is correct . And it's just exhausting to read super long emotional messages from strangers , especially when you consider so many women already get tons of messages . I don't get a ton but I do have a hard time sorting through the essays . Big reason I don't read a lot of what I see on the forums . It's just too much sometimes . A few sentences with something lighthearted and not completely centered around you and your needs is going to stand out more and be much more palpable. Think fist bump instead of holding on for dear life. It really runs the risk of seeming desperate and potentially being an emotional dumper .

Here's a little advice to those who are frustrated that participation here hasn't been as fruitful as they'd hoped: The enemy of contentment is rigid expectations.
Look, we all know that our lives would most likely feel more satisfying if we happened to experience platonic touch and intimate connection as much or as little as we want. However, that doesn't entitle anyone to it. Sure, you deserve it. So does literally every other human, forever and ever amen.
I've only been on this site for a few days, but it's pretty clear that women often get treated as if they're just faces in a vending machine, waiting to be chosen by some lonely man within a specified age and mileage range. Sending someone a message doesn't obligate them to reply, and being one among a hundred similarly motivated dudes doesn't have the type of odds you're hoping for. Being especially eager, gushing with compliments, or dumping an outpouring of earnest feelings on someone you haven't even really met... Those are all red flags, just like they are in person. As is the pouncing upon of new profiles, I imagine.
Generally, my take is that no enthusiast wants to connect with someone that thinks that cuddling will fix their life - like it's the one ingredient they long for, "my life is empty but you, rando internetter, have the key..." In fact, the best people to vibe with are often the ones whose life is perfectly fine with or without you in it.
If you want a therapeutic experience, find a pro. Maybe if you see a few pros and gain some karma, enthusiasts will feel slightly more at ease. Otherwise, chill out and take a break. Address whatever you're actually dealing with in your real life, and come here with zero expectations.
@Sooson - I had 2 cuddles with a pro (who never used the forums) and about a year later I saw my karma count was down 1. The karma she left me was gone so I texted her and found out she had been banned but was appealing. A couple days later my karma count was back when she was reinstated. However, about a month ago my karma was down again and I see hers is the one missing so I am assuming she is gone for good this time.

Asking appropriate questions is a great way to break the ice in my inbox. I also ask questions at the end of my greeting into an Enthusiast's inbox in order to break the ice for actual conversation, one of my best icebreakers (to an Enthusiast) centered around his favorite movie being Godzilla. Lol!😄

Yeah, they both have a ton of great lines. It's why I really like this battle a lot. The Ferris Buehler one was one of my fave lines from Kong.
But man, Godzilla had so many great ones. My favorite was the Empire one. But I also loved the Nintendo one, the Pacific Rim 2 one, the Harambe one, and the haiku one.
