Mistaken Profile

edited November 2024 in General

Ok everyone, help me out. Guys keep messaging me asking for appointments or wanting to know how much I charge. It has caused my profile to be suspended while I confirm with the site that I

1) am not a professional
2) will not try to solicit money "under the table"
3) will agree to pay the site a commission if I ever change my status to professional.

Last time i was on here i had a conversation with a gentleman where i agreed to meet in public (hotel) but said i couldnt afford it, so he'd have to pay for the room. I got flagged from that conversation too. I'm getting kind of sick of it.

Will someone please read my profile and tell me what in it makes people think that I'm a professional who charges? I'd be happy to change it if I could figure it out.

  • There’s nothing about it that hints professional. Not sure why it’s being flagged but the only suggestion I have would be to clarify in your copy that you are an enthusiast and not a professional.

  • @SquishyJackie - Probably auto-moderation. The mods can't monitor every message to make sure non-pros aren't attempting to charge so the system is looking for certain keywords, but it doesn't understand context so it makes mistakes.

  • @WestsideMarc thank you for that. Another gentleman messaged me with the same suggestion. Seems that is the best course of action.

  • Some men don't actually read profiles or look at any of the info. I've gotten a few inquiries asking how much I charge. I just tell them all the info is in my profile (nowhere does it say I charge anything). Somehow they never reply to that.

  • Easy fix, no problem. Funny thing is, although my profile has never been flagged, there have been women that have asked me if I was a professional too. NO IDEA WHY. But I added this into my profile nonetheless.

  • Well i don't believe many people come in reading any of the details of the site. They come in believing it's all about paying for what I'm not sure but you can guess. What lead them here is another question, i have my theories. I say all that to say, I'm sure the people propositioning are reading the profiles or the site rules, they have preconceived ideas and they are trying their luck.

  • It's probably not all that sinister. Rather, people are probably jumping to conclusions, because all the people one all the other cuddle sites are pros. There are three or four large nationwide sites, and who knows how many small regional ones. The people there don't have the pro tag, because they are all pros --- it's understood. Cuddle Comfort is the only site that has enthusiasts, because it began as a site exclusively for enthusiasts to find each other. The pro option was added later.

But a new guy joins this site, doesn't bother to read the FAQ (because he "knows" it's just like all the other ones), and proceeds to message a lot of people to ask what they charge. Add to this that some enthusiasts here are in fact charging under the radar (until they get caught). Our hypothetical guy's confusion is understandable.

Active enthusiasts are rare. And highly sought after. OP, just make it clear in your profile that you are an enthusiast, and do not charge. If guys still inquire about pricing, they are are clearly not reading your profile, and you'd be justified in brushing them off.

Short answer: it's not your fault, it's theirs.

Sadly there are plenty of people who are too stupid to notice that some profiles are clearly flagged 'professional' and some aren't. These people don't read profiles anyway, so it's nothing to do with what you have written. It's just them. I suggest Blocking them without comment. If you do reply, I suggest a brief copy/paste explaining how the site works.

Long answer: I've read your profile and there is absolutely nothing wrong with it in any way shape or form whatsoever.

Having said that, the last paragraph (which discusses your availability) is excellent, but it does read a bit like something a professional might write and is not typical of enthusiast profiles. I suggest rewriting it, or removing it altogether: the core information is in your Facts section anyway.

The following threads might give you a few insights into finding cuddle buddles, although I suspect you have discovered much already.

PS - Some good replies in this thread, and a particularly helpful response in my view from @quietman775.

I just checked. It's due to some auto-moderation being done in the messages. Telling people you are NOT a pro, do NOT charge, and do NOT do sessions could still be triggering it due to the terminology used. (Very frustrating I know)

  • For some, they probably don't know how to tell the difference or how the site works and likely thinks all women charge and/or are a pro 🥴

I see nothing on your profile that suggests professional. Except maybe as @CuddleDuncan pointed out. 🤷‍♀️ Your days, evening, and that you host are all listed below on your profile so even if you took it out, the information would still be there in another form.

Based on what @CharlieBear said, if you watch your wording, that should keep it from flagging.

If / When people ask you how much, etc, you could just say something like:

"I'm an enthusiast, which means I cuddle for free if I decide to cuddle with someone."

If they want to meet in a hotel.

"That's fine but you will need to cover it as I can't."

Wish you the best and warm cuddles!

  • I forgot to say that this is a common problem on this site, and happens to many enthusiast women not just the OP.
