Scams and dangers of using online sites

Hello,

I'm curious to see if anybody has gotten scammed or robbed because of these profiles?

A lot of the time (like 90% at least) a lot of attention is brought to the creepy dudes that get on here and I realize there's always going to be people like that, but I want to bring attention to the other side of online profiles.

Has anyone ever gotten scammed by anybody else here? Has anyone been robbed using this site? If so, did you report it?

I know a lot of women are wary of strangers on here, but I think a lot of guys should be, too. I've run into danger (catfished, robbed) in the past on apps and if you search stuff up, it comes up a lot in the news about guys using "tinder" or other stuff and it goes really bad for them.

I just wish there was something to get some assurance or some level of confidence if booking a cuddler and it won't be some sort of trap, you know? I realize I might have unresolved issues, but maybe a lot of people don't use these types of sites for the same reasons? Is there a way we would know if someone who is on here as a pro is legitimate?

The karma system isn’t perfect but it at least tells you that you’re meeting with a real human who has met with other real humans. Spending time vetting, having a FaceTime call, meeting in person at a coffee shop, all of these things are good ways to help gain a level of confidence.

I’ve met a couple Clients that told me they were swindled out of thousands of dollars by a couple pros. I don’t know all the details it’s just hearsay but I’m sure it happens.

Wowwww it’s definitely scary, I think the best thing we can do is try to do some form of due diligence and try to be as safe as possible. Following intuition, maybe feeling a person out before you up and meet with them. Stay safe everyone ❤️.

The only ways I would think a pro could scam you would be taking a deposit and then ghosting or somehow getting the whole fee and not providing the service. To take someone for a lot of money, I'd think they would have to run something akin to a date scam.

When I first starting using this site a non-pro contacted me. Her profile was in the States so I replied saying thanks but you are too far away. She then said she is working in the UK. To cut a long story short, she came on really strong and I gradually worked out from various mistakes at her end that it was a scam. I decided to keep it going to see how far she would go. Low and behold all of a sudden her Mum was dying in a US Hospital and needed £3000 for medical bills. Like I didn't know that was coming! I didn't reply, blocked her and reported her to the site and also to UK Police. She got banned from here and the legal case from this end is still ongoing.

I'm glad you brought it up. I've heard of situations outside of this site where guys have gotten extorted , robbed/ armed, burglarized, cars rifled through, cars stolen, robbed unarmed, threatened with legal (extorted), stalked, threats of exposure of std (false or true idk). harassed out of work etc. i don't think I've read many stories if these things happening here, but I'm sure it occurs. I think a high percentage of people scammed or taken advantage if don't get report it, and physical assaults are reported less by men. It's not a stretch to understand in these situations a man could be putting himself in a dangerous situation. I'm not comparing but danger is danger. Sometimes it amounts to embarrassment but things we all want t avoid.

In my opinion, even the threat of some things happening and being made public will cause me to reconsider. There aren't many things worth doing at the risk of humiliation. So when things happen often it just won't get reported if it can't stay private. Obviously i can't speak for everyone but privacy in embarrassing matters is worth a lot of money and pain. I've been beat out of a $50 dollar deposit before for something and didn't report it, because $50 is a good price for a lesson well learned. While these little scams may not be a lot of money, but it's still money unearned and it's much easy to work 10 people paying a deposit that 1 true appointment and possibly make 3 times the money.

I hope it's not happening here too often but I'm sure it's happened. I bet if there was a way for people to anonymously tell there story in here, you'd find out ways men have been taken advantage of and even SA'd or just robbed.

Yes, numerous bad actors have perpetrated all kinds of bad things on people here. Be careful. This applies to everybody: men, women, gay, straight, tall, short, fat, thin, black, white, clients, professionals, enthusiasts; everybody.

Cuddle Comfort is a social media site and offers the same protection for meeting somebody as you would get from facebook, twitter, tinder or any other site - i.e. none at all. The person responsible for your safety is .... [spoiler alert] ... you.

However .... good experiences are more common than bad ones. This place is no more or less dangerous than any other website, or any random street corner.

Is there a way we would know if someone who is on here as a pro is legitimate?

Question what dangers are we concerned about? I only seem to be seeing a few and they are similar. Of all the dangers of the world I'm sure we could keep everyone aware of the others as well...

When dealing with other humans, be cautious.

Honestly, my anxiety about horror situations has kept me from meeting up sometimes. My danger radar isn't 100%. I have kids who need me. I was talking to one gentleman who wanted to send a picture off of this site, and once I gave him my discord information, he was very adement about more than just cuddling. I noticed his account got banned here. I am not sure if there is some where we can send a picture to find out if they have been removed previously in that kind of situation. I have a couple friends I talk to to try and help me filter but they haven't always been the best judgement either.
I was on a different site, dating one and I caught a scammer using someone else's photos. I reached out to the e mail of the site and showed them his original profile(that he assured Me he deleted) they told me they took his profile down. This guy was really good at it. We did video calls but the video and the voice didn't match. It took 3 months talking to him to catch a slip. He also asked for $2,000 when the pipe line in the diamond mine broke. Luckily I don't send money plus I am broke. But he would have gotten someone else. He messaged daily, he payed attention. This man even sent flowers to me. It was heartbreaking to find out it was all a lie. Yet people decide that is how they want to make money.

I think my post comes from my deduction that most of the females on here are pros and most people sending messages in the hopes of meeting are males, so if we go and want to meet up with someone, it's kinda worrisome if that person the kind of person you first thought they were. I don't want to fear monger but I guess I just wanted to vent my frustrations about this and maybe help others be more aware of meeting up at someone's house or taking them to your own. Like the above posts have mentioned, it would be a good idea to first meet out in public and stuff to get more confidence in the situation. Checking the profile pics of them online. What sucks is that some people can just ask anyone else to leave them good reviews to appear legit. Where I live I honestly wouldn't ever want to meet up with strangers from the internet without a lot of vetting. I was robbed last time when meeting someone online, and it could've been a lot worse.

My question would be, is it safer to meet a pro cuddler than just meeting anyone else (enthusiast)?

Yes, people have been scammed, robbed, assaulted, nearly murdered (unsure about cases of actual murder…) Everyone should do their due-diligence when screening, and even then it’s not enough sometimes. Some of the convos I see…some people are playing very fast and loose with their safety (mainly new pros) or their money (mainly new clients).

Whenever I have a session with new clients, I ALWAYS tell someone who I’m meeting and where, along with when my session is supposed to end. If they don’t hear from me by a certain time (by phone call), then they have been instructed to call the local police. So far, everyone I met has been legit, but I can’t be too careful.

That’s sad to hear all the stories of scams . I think sometimes we feel something is off and we ignore it .. not me .. Money is not that important and I don’t cuddle every request
