@happybear - my favourite used to be astro-blaster. Back in the 80's, a group of us used to go to various video arcades in New York City on our lunch break and play the games. It was a different era.

  • @UKGuy
cobra arcade bar in phoenix has 40 arcade games from the 80's, just saying. 25 minute ride and 5.00 in tokens and good way to spend a few hours, enjoy if you could make it there.

    • cards against humanity
    • speed with cards
    • monopoly

    tablet games:

    • word with friends
    • any word games
    • tetris
    • fruit ninja
  • @AndiCuddles I did play TI3 3-4 times (with the expansions) and TI4 is much, much better.

I haven't played Mansion of Madness but I would give it a go and I would like the Betrayal at House in the Hill.

Not sure if I'm buying that @CreativeCuddles :astonished:

No Angry Birds? No Candy Crush? ^_^

  • Fallout:New Vegas

    Sorry and Clue

Uno and various card games such as gin or poker.

I just don't have time to play hand held games because I get to addicted to them. But i was a total Pokemon Go addict, went on raiding parties, discord, evaluating my monsters, all of it. Had to go, I was to busy playing the game to play the game of real life. So I stick to ones that aren't so portable, easier to put down!

Shanghai rummy, Robo-rally, scrabble, yahtzee. I definitely prefer tabletop games over video games. I like to interact with people and conversation flows more easily during tabletop games.

  • Already responded on this thread once, but here's a little update: A friend of mine recently introduced me to Magic the Gathering. He basically put a box from his collection into my hands and told me to sort out a certain type of card. Then we made a deck with the cards we sorted together and I've been playing a game or two with him every two weeks.

  • Coming soon to Switch: Smash Ultimate.

Soon on Xbox One: Soul Calibur 6

I might be disappearing for a few weeks once both are out ;)

  • I'm terrible at first person shooters and adventure games but I do enjoy Stardew Valley, The Sims and Rollercoaster/Zoo Tycoon type games.

I like to watch D&D campaigns on twitch, though I've never tried myself. It is something I'd be interested in if I could find a good DM.

  • @chococuddles Nope, not even those two! Just have never been a video game person.

  • My favorite is Seiken Densetsu 3. This game is so rare, that it never got an official release outside of Japan. It's basically Super D and D, the game. You pick 3 out of 6 characters. The first pick gets their own intro and is given the status of main character. The other two are support. It's really fun and two players can co-op. Also, it's the prequel to Secret of Mana.

  • Spiderman ps4, Red dead redemption 2, Anthem, Fallout 76, KINGDOM HEARTS SERIES, RESIDENT EVIL SERIES, EVIL WITHIN SERIES.

  • Spades, Overwatch ?

  • [Deleted User]chococuddles (deleted user)

    PS4 - Spiderman
    iPad - Boxing Star

@LionheartOutlaw Didn't know RDR2 was out! Been waiting for that (even tho I haven't played the first one)

  • I really love poker, and I like Phil Ivey, a poker star https://phil-ivey.net/

  • Super Metroid, Dark Souls, and Jet Set Radio.

  • Risk was my old favorate if I had good friends and an entire weekend to play it.

now id say Uno or dominos. (and if its the right group of people it would be strip Uno haha)

  • Fallout 4 and Fallout the board game are both great

  • Monopoly (I have many different versions) and Stratego are the best, but I am a sucker for most board games and card games.

  • Tabletop - Mysterium and Splendor
Video Games - Overwatch, Apex, Stardew Valley

  • Never really got into tabletop. Probably my favorite video game would still be Chrono Trigger. While it's been a long time, I've also been known to LARP Vampire: the Masquerade. And related to LARPing, for the past 8 years I was a scare actor, which was a lot of fun, getting into character and all.

Terraria, dishonored, FTL:faster than light, creeper world 2, age of empires 1 + 2 + age of mythology, eternal card game, skyrim, portal 2, scrabble, spore, OSRS and darksiders 2. Not done much for tabletop, been trying to get into D&D as of late but no luck.

  • Video Games:

    Super Smash Bros
    Mario Kart
    Legend of Zelda

  • @BrianL LARPing is great! I haven't done parlour LARPs like VtM before. I've done either 1 offs, or long term boffer LARPs. So much fun!

  • @triskele It's fun. I just can't right now due in part to the nights that the local OWbN group gets together being a night I usually work. Funny thing is, I took my LARP characters name for my character as a scare actor the past 4 years, as both were vampires, it made it easier on me. They just had different backgrounds.

Grew up on Sega Genesis and Sonic. I don't play anything on console these days really, we did have an old PS2 we sold before we moved a few months ago and we had a couple GTA and racing games. I'm definitely more of a computer game person, but I don't keep up much with the new stuff. I currently play RuneScape 3, I have a copy of Jazz Jackrabbit 2 on my computer, and I also do custom content creation for The Sims 1 (which still surprisingly has a community following).

As for tabletop games - Cribbage, War, Monopoly, Scrabble, Pictionary, Life, Clue, Guess Who... I also quite like Cards Against Humanity with the right crowd.

  • Dr. Mario (very similar to Tetris), I love puzzle games and figuring out how things fit together. Also my family is obsessed with a card game called Nerts- it’s a fast paced mix of solitaire/war/spoons

  • For me, poker is my favorite card game, we used to play together with friends every weekend, but when everybody got away from each other, we found https://bovegascasinoreview.com/bovegas-games/bovegas-online-video-poker/ in this article a good poker room, which now gathers online, so the tradition is not broken
