Disturbing messages

  • @Importance - Yeah I know. A lot of men act like animals. I wish I can wave a magic wand and change it. :(

  • @Importance that sort of behaviour makes me ashamed to be a member of the male sex, I'm sorry. Sadly I can't say I'm surprised. My wife and I were listening volunteers for a well known UK emotional support phone line and we (mainly the ladies) used to get calls from saddos like that. We had training on how to deal with them, which boiled down to reiterating the service we offered and what we didn't and ending the contact if they persisted - which is pretty much what you have done. We also tried to find humour in it (they are after all sad, pathetic creature) sometimes we would repeat what they said to us for the benefit of fellow volunteers in the room - "so you like wearing nappies do you?"
No magic wands for societal change here, I suppose all we can do is call out this sort of behaviour with our fellow men.

  • @Plato33 I often use humor as a coping tool also. I have a joke that I like to tell but it is highly inappropriate. I like dirty jokes, I like a good sense of humor, I like profanity as long as it isn’t used in anger or to manipulate someone. I understand that my audience must be OK/I must have consent for this type of humor. And because Cuddle comfort has such a large group of participants and lurkers I have avoided most jokes. I just I’m not sure how they will be perceived and I don’t want to offend anyone.

I really appreciate your input and I completely agree with the things you have said. Thank you for contributing. 🐣🐣🐣

    @Importance
The messages you have shared are disgusting and make me want to vomit. Unfortunately, these men are the way they are due to their environment, upbringing and social circles that make it ok to be rude, crude and disrespectful.
You are correct about us good guys needing to take a harder look at ourselves.

  • @quixotic_life @squeakytoy @CuddleDuncan : I was the guy who wanted importance to initiate the poll (pg. 2 screeenshot). And I apologized to her via forum and personal message too.

    I just started the poll.

PS: other conversation screenshots are not of me lol.

  • Is it just me or does lol look like a person drowning?

@TheGMan Hey man, thanks for making it right  I'm glad when these stories have a happy ending.

@Mike403 It does, now that you mention it ~ \o/ lol \o/ ~

  • @TheGMan I second squeaky‘s appreciation for you. Thank you for coming out of the shadows. Thank you for being open and vulnerable with us. We just want to get to know you. I’m sure you have many very valuable traits and characteristics that we would like to see. Thank you again

  • Positive things are afoot. This also makes me happy! Good job, buddy!!!

  • @Importance I think we need to make a training video required for new users so people know how to differentiate between enthusiast and professional. Or something.

@Importance Aaaww! I'm so happy he reacted well. That's a pleasant surprise.

  • @Importance do people really get confused on not knowing ??? I ask because it seems very straight forward from my side since day 1 .... there are pros & there are enthusiasts & I always thought that when someone offered or asked a non-pro “how much do you charge” is because they really want to cuddle them & want to entice them to increase their chances with them ...

  • @sunnysideup or, maybe we could help this website financially so that they could make it a little bit more user-friendly. It does take a little bit of time to figure things out here. Especially for someone like me that was not raised with computers. And then working in a field that did not require me to use a computer for the last 20 years has not been helpful at all.

  • This is a joke. This is a joke. This is a joke

Sometimes I want to take them up on their financial offer. I don’t think that they can afford me though.

It is still a joke. It is still a joke. It is still a joke

  • @Importance - My dad introduced me to computers when I was 2 years old. I love technology. I'm currently in school to become an electrical engineer.

@introvme I'm not really sure, but people like those who are trying to entice an enthusiast should be reported as soon as possible.

@Importance The website seemed straightforward to me, and it was immediately clear to me how to tell apart pros and enthusiasts. But then again I grew up on the internet and computers, I did not consider from a perspective of a computer newbie. And lol.

@Mike403 I just got my EE degree! =) Is it true that engineers are the loneliest. I wonder if there are lot of engineers on CC.

  • @sunnysideup my point exactly... there is no confusion ,, I think we are holding cc wayyy too accountable ... their system is very good & effective , people going against it is a completely different story.

  • I really tried with this guy and I gave him a lot of my time. He spent time trying to encourage me into sexual discussions. I should have cut him off there. But I continued as I am trying to bring about understanding here. When I asked to see his face he sent me a photo that he had blacked out partially. my edits are in purple and his are in black

After my final reply he left. It was probably for the best as he stated that he is not quite ready to keep things platonic while cuddling.

I offer you this for your consideration and thoughts.

  • I do not know why this guy sent this picture like this. You could ask him or just block him. It is a bit strange and seems like he has the wrong idea. Although i think it is rare i also get the sense there are some women (pros) using this site the wrong way.

  • I appreciate that you're spotlighting men behaving badly. I am not okay with posting conversations and screenshots, because it only takes just one "oops" to divulge specific users. If users are breaking rules and behaving poorly, please report them, but I'm not about creating inadvertent (NOR intentional) walls of shame. @Importance - please be mindful with future posts.

  • Okay. The women here will just carry the burdens of feeling ashamed in the dark silence.

Thank you for letting me know once again that it is a woman’s job to do the emotional work when men behave badly.

    I’m disappointed

  • Closing thread. OP has full agency to block, interact, or not respond to whomever they choose.
