The most common movies I watch while cuddling is horror movies, bollywood, and Marvel/ Dc and they're all good for very different reasons.
If it's tv, cooking shows or Star Trek usually, haha.

  • @Ahmedali999 comedies are the best … anything will ferrel / Ben stiller / Adam Sandler / all those types of movies lol & those silly high school movies like superbad ect

I've noticed this discussion topic here before. I Googled 'CuddleComfort movie' and found these discussions:

(I know it's hard to find discussion topics by searching the forum search engine. Google works.)

  • @nurturingman Yeah, but there's a bunch of new users and movies since then. No harm in resurrecting a 2 year old topic. <3

  • @cuddles_ndream always with cuddle buddy anything funny. i have been with my cuddle body☝️ she likes cartoons which aren't my types of movies 🙈 I'm old for that but it was ok 🤗.

  • @Ahmedali999 too old??? Why???!!!!! If a cuddle buddy wants to watch Tom & Jerry or any Disney movies like the Lion king I’m down 😂

  • I am with @Annichka. Nothing wrong with a thread with fresh blood to it. Reviving old threads also invites ridicule in most forums, so nothing wrong with this.

I've never heard of reviving an old thread inviting ridicule, @FunCartel . One the contrary, I've seen people ridicule posters of new threads when the same topics already exist— not that I think anyone should be ridiculed. I always search to see if a topic already has a thread before I start a new one. I don't blame @Morpheus for not knowing there were already those threads because the forum search on here isn't worth much (search movie and it will just show you every post with the word movie in it; same with searching the exact title— it just doesn't work).

@Annichka I agree it's good to learn of new movies and get input from new users, but newcomers can breathe new life into an old thread rather than creating a new thread (not that @Morpheus , on CuddleComfort since 2016, is a newcomer). I just think it's nice to keep a good discussion going rather than start a new one.

Aaaaanywho, as I said in another thread on this topic (ahem, ahem 😉), I like cuddling to movies about childhood since they take me back to the time before sexuality and romance, and they have a quality of innocence that I find conducive to platonic cuddling. I find cuddling often "touches" the inner child, so movies from one's childhood, or even movies about childhood, help bring the past together with the present.

There are endless places where this is discussed on the internet but that site gives a basic rundown.

  • @cuddles_ndream ☝️ except tom and Jerry, best cartoon ever existed

@FunCartel Okay, good to know, but a topic like movies to watch while cuddling is timeless as well as timely, so it’s worth adding to an existing post; in fact, it probably ought to be stickied, which the wiki you linked to says is one of the exceptions to the rule. Also on the page you linked to is this exception:

However, if the topic is important enough or the post adds more useful information to the topic, then it is not considered a necropost. [1]

Anyway, I have no desire to derail this thread, which is why I contributed movie suggestions to it after adding informative links in case anyone’s interested in what has been said about the topic before. Carry on, cuddlers!

I recently watched Spirited Away during a session with a pro (where I was the client.) Another time I watched Toy Story (the original one.) Dead Poets Society was another one. I'm sure there are others, but all of those were specific to me because they bring out a lot of emotion and memories of vulnerability I felt as a child at times when I felt I needed loving touch from someone, but it wasn't there. I picked those for my last three sessions because I wanted to be held while feeling those emotions that made me feel so alone then. When I pick stuff for my sessions with a pro, it's usually stuff that will facilitate my healing in some way. YMMV.

  • That’s beautiful, @CuddlesByDeep 🥰 What a great way to nurture your inner child and heal your past.

  • Last month I watched Invader Zim Enter the Florpus with a pro. It was good for some smiles while we started cuddling.

  • Step Brothers ❤️
