When it comes to cuddles, how far would you travel?

I noticed that @snuggledream posted a cool question on the Pro cuddling section of the forum, but I think most of us never go there since it got no interaction. With that said, I'd like to get some feedback to part of her question from you wonderful people.

How far would you travel, or have traveled, in order to meet someone here for a cuddle session? Be it with a Pro or a fellow enthusiast.

I personally don't have anyone closer than 2 hours away. For me, driving 4 hours round trip for a cuddle is a little too much.. specially if I'm also paying for the hotel and the cuddle session.

But then again, it's also true I would make an exception for some of you here. 😉

I suggest maybe editing the thread title from 'go' to 'travel', (unless the point is to be clickbait) because it could give the wrong idea about what the thread is about.

    Thanks for the feedback @BuggleBear

If it's going to be an overnight I don't mind doing an hour and three quarter of driving each way. I've been doing that monthly now for a bit.

But that is only after building much trust and confidence with shorter times closer to home with this individual.

My perspective is always a little skewed though when it comes to driving. I've pretty much always got my hand on the steering wheel looking through a windshield.

  • My first session was an hour and a half away, because she was the closest one I could find at the time.

I have a pro that I visit from time to time who is three hours away.

How far would I travel? I can't think of a limit, if it was someone I had really connected with.

  • On a weekday, an hour and a half drive each way, is about my limit, unless it were an over night cuddle session. Otherwise, it would be difficult to have enough time to sleep. On the weekend, I might be willing to drive further, it just depends.

I always wanted to build out a van, to live out of while traveling. How cool would that be, to take a few weeks of vacation and travel around the country, and go site seeing, camping, hiking, and exploring, and meeting cuddlers along the way?

@JoyfulHeart Yep, when I joined the site I reached out and introduced myself to the few contacts residing within 150-200 miles of me and never got a response back. I think back then I would have made the drive.

@KYtranspant I've thought about reaching out to members from a little farther away to see if they'd be interested in meeting half way, but I'm not fully on board with it myself yet, maybe one day. Overnight cuddles scare me lol.

@TFWO I hope you are able to fulfill your dream. That sounds great.

  • I regularly drive an hour and a half each way to cuddle with a pro in a neighboring state who I have really gotten to know well and built a lot of trust with. I also sometimes plan my cycling adventures around a cuddle so I have driven 5 hours each way to cuddle with a pro and ride some bike trails.

  • When my daughter finally gets a car, I would be able to drive further on weekends. I’d say 4 to 5 hours depending on the situation. During the week it’s no more than an hour and a half, because of my day job. 🙂

The furthest that I’ve traveled was over 4 hours round trip with tolls and traffic and honestly I think it was too far. We had a 4 hour cuddle so that made for an 8 hour day and I was exhausted on the trip home. When the session ended, he started making a fuss about my travel rate which I felt was rude and soured my mood on the ride home.

    I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more
Just to be the one who walked 1000 miles

Actually probably more like 1 hour one-way in general if it's for like an hour. The longer the session the more justified the commute.

  • @SweetiSammi I don't understand why people think it's ok to complain about the terms after they've already agreed to them, and after they've received the cuddles. I'm sorry you had to put up with that.

  • I’m grateful to be in a city, Austin, TX where I don’t need to go far. If I didn’t I would honestly be concerned to travel very far unless it was for a professional with lots of experience. I would not want to drive 10 hours to Marfa, TX only to have an unexceptional time.

As I have few active cuddlers in my area, I have traveled far at time. My longest was 5 hours one way but it turned out to be my best cuddle yet. I generally have to look at 2 to 3 hours one way so I do not get to cuddle much.

  • I live pretty rurally and transport is awful so my choices are very limited. I could reach London easily enough which is like 1 to 1/2 hours travel so I guess that's my limit.

So I don’t do overnights or multi-day sessions; for some sessions, I used to drive over two hours, sometimes even three hours each way, but I recently decided to cap it at two hours each way or four hours round-trip

  • I will travel Two hours one way with travel fee after half hour of travel. Session would have to be 2 hours minimum.

  • I drove two hours before...but then she flaked and wasn't even home.
So I don't know if that counts?

I would walk 500 miles and roll 500 more

*I guess I should have known I wasn't the first

  • It would have to be linked to another activity I'm traveling for.Thousands of miles would not be unreasonable.Something that requires 1.5 or 2 hours traveling from my home would be the best.Even 3 hours is not too bad depending on the circumstances.

  • 5,494 miles.

According to Google maps, by the great circle route.

  • My favorite pro is two hours away, and I still occasionally make the drive for a session. When I started taking sessions that was the only good option. Now there are a few more choices near me, but I still make the drive when I need a focused, high quality session.

  • I traveled 175 miles to meet someone in Paducah, KY. We’d already cuddled before, knew each other. They live even further away so we decided to meet in the middle and spend the weekend cuddling, watching movies, visiting a museum, eating good local barbecue, and seeing the countryside.

If it were someone new to me, I don’t know. It would depend.

  • As someone without much money who owns neither a car nor even a bicycle, how far I'd travel is less a function of distance than time.

Depending on how the bus route is set up, it can take two hours to get to a place ten miles away... or thirty minutes to reach a spot twenty miles away. It all depends on the path taken and how many stops (and transfers) are made along the way.

My go-to spot has always been the library. Here, that's about half an hour distant! According to Google, it's a five minute drive by car. Still better than in GJ, where I had to walk (one hour).

I'd be willing to travel longer via bus than on foot.

I've kept people company digitally before if the distance is too far! For so many, that doesn't suffice, but I think it helps sometimes.

  • When it comes to cuddles, I am willing to travel up to a maximum of 7,926 miles (12,756 km) of distance.

  • @InvestorLogic
    That seems oddly specific 😂

  • I have traveled 🧳 to many states (close by to across the country), for cuddles before! Cuddling can be a nice addition to a vacation!😁

@InvestorLogic, India, China or South Africa?

  • I prefer to keep it at 2 hours, but I’ve gone 4 hours before.

If it’s b 4 hours or longer, I’ll try to also make it an activity trip.
