I've been referring to the "cuddling industry" for at least a couple of years.
@PrettyLuv the moderating of the site is better now than it was a few years ago. I've also seen some old posts that would not be allowed now.
This site is not a democracy, and there is no pretense that it is. Petitions and email campaigns are never going to affect an outcome. However, that does not mean that members' voices are not listened to - sometimes at least, they are. The part that is listened to is not the volume, but the wisdom. If you make a good point, nicely, it carries weight. Anything else, doesn't.
I do feel that a Pro should be able to have an OnlyFans, ManyVids, Chaturbate, whatever....(legal and not in-person services) as long as they never advertise it here on Cuddle Comfort. Either publicly or in private messages. And no linking to a Instagram or Linktree that then links to those services.
But if they are on an escort/sex worker site it should be an instant ban to protect CC from legal liability. No question. They can't legitimately claim "I only provide sexual services on THAT website and only provide platonic services here"
@Mark Don’t be so sensitive. You are the owner of the site and you used the word industry regarding cuddling and in the post you used it in you were referring to cuddling websites. It was not a shot at you but at the people who moan and groan about pros and monetizing cuddling who start threads to bash these concepts and realities. They do need to see that the owner of this platform calls it an industry as opposed to a charity or therapy website.
If you go to this subreddit www.reddit.com/r/sexworkers and search Cuddle Comfort or some variant of the website's name there are countless post from people saying they are active on here now or who were caught and banned.
And those are just the ones posting to reddit. So the moderators are already overwhelmed playing whack-a-mole trying to keep the site as clean and legitimate as possible to be dealing this "petitions" and "democracy".
@WarmDesertHugs no, absolutely not. We have enough problems here with creepy clients making inappropriate requests of professionals.
"But all the other professionals do this/that/the other why won't you? I'll pay extra"
Did that pro have those sites on her profile?? She was involved in that?
@WarmDesertHugs That certainly feels right to me as an open minded person but in practice I don't believe it's sensible at all.
For example, there are sex forums out there that have threads dedicated to this website. They try and find cuddlers who offer more. They struggle to do so. They discuss whether this website is a front or not. For now, the consensus in those discussions is that this website seems to be true to its purpose with some non-platonic profiles slipping through the net.
If we were to officially allow pros to offer external sexual services, I believe that would be seen as a very clear signal to those communities that this website is indeed a front. It would then lead to an influx of people trying to escalate sessions at a broad scale with all the Pros here.
@FunCartel Thanks for clarifying the reference. I just wanted to be careful to not unwittingly have my words weaponised in a debate I have no awareness of.
@happybeanz1111 It means she put it out there on the web and it violated TOS. If she put it on a website no one needs her permission to bring it to the attention of CC. I do not think she is telling you everything.
I have been asked many times if this website is a front. It's not and I love being here and wish i would have found it long ago
@Mark Really? Whole forums dedicated to cuddle comfort. Damn, I didn't know people were so invested in finding sex workers. LOL
And good points. I guess in theory they should be free to have outside income sources (as long as they are legal) but in practice it wouldn't work out.
It could also be a safety issue for them. What if they were offering 100% platonic cuddles here and a fan or stalker recognized them from their Onlyfans. That would give that person a way to meet them in person, maybe without the performers/cuddlers knowledge and that person may have nefarious intentions.
If she was involved in that kind of stuff then I sorta understand the logic behind what happened now.
@Mark @Sideon @netrunner @Babichev @Shake49 I would like to say remember the subject at hand is a human being and deserves not to be talked about where subject is banned. We need to think about the health and welfare of this person, such publisizing has lead people to do things worse than the accusation at hand. I would delete this thread. Im already getting messages inquiring who this is. Leave management to do their thing privately.
I’m imagining happybeanz was the person who sent the email. Just a thought 🤔
@happybeanz1111 Maybe that person should understand that choices, no matter how legal, have consequences. Whether it's "fair" or not.
.
As someone who is friends with this person, I doubt she would like all this talked about in such an open setting.
Considering we don't know who this is I don't see how it matters. And life isn't fair. Maybe she needs to understand that choices, no matter how legal, have consequences. Whether it's "fair" or not.
The ultimate white knight has been unlocked.
Just to ease some anxiety about the situation, Mark has asked us not to let the email impact our final decision about letting the pro in question stay banned or be unbanned. It should be reiterated that it's been in discussion before the email was sent, and having received such a threat places those of us who were already advocating for her return in an awkward position. In general, it places everyone on the team in an awkward position.
Going against her wishes isn't the same as helping her. She's even said herself in her appeal that she has alot of fond memories of the site & yet you want to blast the place that she loves if you don't get your way??? It's unhealthy to say the least...
If what I'm gathering is correct ie: she is banned because of previous online content or illegally obtained content in order to shame her, then a ban is totally unjustified in my opinion. Or is it more extensive?
Yes but some people do know her.
@WarmDesertHugs would you like your private life discussed about in a public setting? People deserve respect and privacy no matter what they did.
The point of this thread is to remind us that, when bad things happen, sending threatening emails isn't going to help.
Here is the relevant extract from the terms and conditions. My emphasis.
Platonic services only This site is intended for platonic services only. Members found to be attempting to solicit or offer non-platonic services (i.e. fetish related, sexual services, etc.) through Cuddle Comfort will be banned. In addition, professional cuddlers found to be offering these services outside of this website will also be banned. This is to further keep our image separate from such activities, particularly in light of U.S. legislation (i.e FOSTA-SESTA).

The person making those assertions is banned themselves. The grapes soured with each post he made.
@KamikaziNinja86
would you like your private life discussed about in a public setting? People deserve respect and privacy no matter what they did.
Well, considering this is concerning her profile on a PUBLIC website and her previous actions somewhere else that were public I wouldn't consider this her private life.
And sure, if I had made unwise decisions in the past and posted this decisions to the internet then I'd know that choices have consequences.
It's called Personal Responsibility.
Always remember: Facts Don't Care About Your Feelings.
I’d giggle so hard if someone threatened me like that. Mr. Bad intentions cuddle guy is gonna get me!
To be clear, the person who was banned did make an appeal, a ticket was opened, and we were already discussing in greater detail exactly why she was banned. Because of her appeal and uniqueness of the case the mods and admins were already discussing the appeal to get a consensus of opinions on the matter before the email making threats was sent. The email making threats has not and will not hold any sway to the decision made on whether to keep the ban or give another chance. Also, based on almost all the comments made so far, no one knows what the actual situation is and those making comments on the reason are making speculations. And finally, making a dummy account in response to this thread to make comments attempting to stir up problems will result in being banned yourself. Whoever made the happybeanz1111 account will be removed for doing so.
@BashfulLoner
That email threat reminds me of this scene:

It's only a threat if they don't follow through. If they follow through, then it's a promise.
Going back to the original point of this message, that making threats don't help a case, I heartily agree.
