As an enthusiast on the customer side, I've seen professional cuddlers (not only from this site) based out of at least four states with prices ranging from $70 to $160 an hour, not including tip (you must always tip!) and travel reimbursement. While a cuddler's prices also depend significantly on the cost-of-living in the region in which they're based out of, I would say that there is a very strong correlation between a cuddler being more expensive (relative to their region) and also being more experienced and professional and effective at their job. Yes, I have seen a few amazing professionals at the more affordable or regular-priced end, but the best have also been the most expensive.
I assume this is due to simple supply and demand... the more a cuddler can attract a loyal base of repeated customers or excited newcomers, the more they can raise their hourly rate and not lose clients. The best cuddlers, especially those who have proven themselves and built a reputation, can command premium prices usually. Pricing among professionals, from what I've seen, is generally based on pure meritocracy, and while things like degrees and certifications can help a cuddler be better at their job or market themselves more effectively, they do not in and of themselves guarantee the cuddler is worth more to an enthusiast customer. And of course, markets aren't always perfect and sometimes a cuddler can be over-priced or under-priced based, yes, but overall, the pricing of cuddlers makes sense I think in pretty basic economic terms.
Now, I write this post not to nerd out on cuddler economics and certainly not to complain about lower-priced cuddlers nor to put anyone down... but rather to positively encourage people! Every professional cuddler had the start somewhere, usually at an entry-level rate, and they have the potential to become elites if they try hard and foster meaningful client relationships and develop their cuddling skills. I pray and hope that every professional out there can work their way up if that's what they want and bring joy to others and earn a great living, and if folks wish to fulfill a less premium market position, that's totally okay too with there being room for all types of professional cuddlers out there! I also hope that the current elite group of cuddlers keeps developing their craft and finds ways to deliver even more incredible platonic experiences, perhaps further justifying price increases via achieving the Cadillac or Porsche or even Roll's Royce of cuddling services!
Just remember, professionals, don't be afraid to value yourselves and charge what you know you can command! And fellow enthusiasts, always always tip these folks as you might tip your servers in a bar or restaurant, no matter their price, because we need them to earn a living and give us these wonderful services.
It has never been a requirement to tip professional cuddlers.

You do tip your servers at bars and restaurants and food delivery drivers because they don't even make minimum wage and their job depends heavily on tips. Professional cuddlers on this site set their own rates and pay 15% to the site. So if they charge $100 an hour, they are making $85 per hour.
This topic has been done to death. But why not rehash it all again Cuddling used to cost 80 per hour nationwide. Had nothing to do with cost of living because as I just said it was 80 in every state in the USA. Tipping is not required when someone already charges 120 per hour now. Tipping is something I do for waitresses because they make very little money so without tips they are going to really suffer.
I get that the richer clients who are ceo's or made a fortune in the stock market can afford to throw an extra 100 in tips but most middle class clients can't do that. Thankfully many pro cuddlers are wonderful people who treat all clients the same. Except one pro told me how her other client tipped her a lot and she shamed me for not doing the same.
As far as quality it has nothing to do with the rate. I've cuddled with a pro who was 40 per hour and she blew everyone else away. She was so amazing. Then I cuddled with someone who charges 100 per hour and it was the worst session ever. So there is no correlation there. People will charge whatever they can. As long as some rich guy is willing to pay it they will continue to keep pushing it even higher. Kind of like Disneyland. Noticed how the Disney ticket price just keeps growing more and more. It's priced out a lot of people but they are ok with that because there's still plenty of people who still buy tickets.
@Melancholy - I hope she lost a client. Instead of getting $100 an hour(or whatever she charges), she now gets zero.
@Melancholy I'll admit that cuddling pricing perhaps can be like wine or other alcohol pricing with some amazing bargains out there, but you can often tell the difference.
And definitely prices in say New York City are different than the prices in say rural Pennsylvania?
@SQL Pricing is surprisingly standard across the country, from what I've seen. It's basically $80-$120 everywhere. Some cities you'd expect to be expensive are even on the cheaper end due to competition.
I've never done cuddle-for-pay and don't plan to start, but I've looked at pro cuddler profiles out of curiosity. I've seen a strong correlation between sexiness/attractiveness and price. Women who are on the high end of the attractiveness scale tend to charge the top rates. That's not to say that some women lower on the scale don't also charge premium rates, but I don't recall seeing anyone who I thought was very physically attractive priced in the moderate-to-low range. Which kind of blows up the theory that this whole business is truly and completely "strictly platonic" and has nothing to do with sex appeal. Women in that high-sexiness range usually know they have something that a lot of guys want and are willing to pay premium prices for even a small taste of it.

As I pro, I have never received any tips or been paid for travel expenses which means I have to deduct the cost to make sure the session is worth the time and effort! I have, however received some really thoughtful gifts, vapes, chocolate etc. 🙂
@StructuredQueryLanguage Nope. No difference. None. The rate has nothing to do with the quality of someone's cuddling. I have been seeing pro cuddlers for over 6 years now so I don't know what else to tell you that would convince you that it has no bearing. Fine wine is totally different. Not a good comparison at all.
@FitSmartCuddler "prettiness" or "beauty" or "aesthetic pleasingness" are not the same as "sexiness". You don't call a sunset or a mountain landscape or a skyline sexy, though they might be gorgeous to look at. In a cuddling context, a cuddler may cultivate an aesthetic along the same lines as a sunset and appeal to clients that way.
"Sexiness" would involve more so deliberate poses or dress, and there are profiles that arguably go for that, but those are not the "most beautiful" ones.

As a pro, I will say I’ve never expected a tip. When I do get one, I’m incredibly grateful but I would never expect one.
I feel sad saying this but because the OP is giving such high praise towards cuddling pros and bringing up such enlightening thoughts on pricing, and with this outlook being so rare, my mind immediately thinks it’s sarcastic. I fully understand in your prior experiences that price has not been a good determinant of quality. I've had many good sessions too at the base price as well, so I know that many very good cuddlers are out there and not charging as much as others. I also, however, have had disappointing sessions with inexperienced folks at the base prices who seemed to be dabbling, while the best cuddling I've had has been at the tippy top range with folks who raised their prices after high demand (high demand for a reason 😎). At the tippy top range, we are talking about attention to detail, the craft at it's finest!
