Healing with psilocybin šŸ„

Am I the only one that likes to micro-dose on a weekly basis?
Almost all of my life people always say if I was to ever take magic mushrooms I would have to be in a very good place in my life. Otherwise I would have a bad trip. So predominantly all my life I was terrified of ever taken them. Until one special day, that day was feeling like one of the worst days ever had, and there were the mushrooms that I had been saving for three years, because I was terrified to take them because of what I was told.
Fast forward to me taking them, I guess I was trying to self sabotage that day, seeing how I was in a horrible place at that very moment I felt.
Lo and behold it was the most transcending ,aw-inspiring, trauma healing ā¤ļøā€šŸ©¹ far out thing I had ever experienced in my life. Thus changing my life forever for the better.
Then mushrooms was all I could talk and think about šŸ˜‚ have any of you tried mushrooms? If so, what was your experience like? And if not, why haven’t you?
PS ; micro-dose is .03 mg. - comparable to taking a vitamin, what a micro-dose does is boosts your serotonin and give you access to neural pathways you’re not using also repairing your brain and nuero pathways that I’ve been damaged.

  • Magic Mushrooms saved my life šŸ¦‹ I hope they will do something great for every individual in the world because if everyone in the world was to take mushrooms, at least once in their life, this world will be completely different in a positive way
and that is a solid fact.

  • Never had them but always kinda wanted to try

  • I have had them on many occasions. I love that I really don’t have any kind of hangover after doing some. I just laugh and the world around me becomes alive.

Get this—my cardiologist said no harm in it. It can actually lower your blood pressure temporarily. Just don’t drive.

  • Me too but it’s been many decades. I would love the experience again.

  • Many of good times. Never bad trip. I'm glad you've found this as a healing experience as well. I wish more people would explore it and use for trauma healing. It actually helped me stop smoking cigarettes...

  • AHHHH! I miss micro-dosing. I had to stop after my father passed because it conflicted with my need to intake an extreme amount of caffeine made my grief 1000X more intense. I started on Wellbutrin a few months ago and cannot take them at the moment. When I come off the antidepressant, I plan to utilize micro dosing for anxiety. I had never been that calm and happy in a really, really long time.

  • @Gabrielle_Love I love your story!! šŸŒæāœØšŸŒµšŸ„

Micro-dosing is one thing, taking a full psychedelic trip dosage is a different beast.

Don’t get me wrong, both have their place.

But micro-dosing is taking a pleasant evening stroll and a full psychedelic dose is more like a weekend’s hike into the desert, or up a mountain.

You can do it safely, but being prepared is a good thing, and those slip on shoes a might not cut it.

  • I did physician prescribed Ketamine treatments and I feel the world would be a better place if everyone has had a psychedelic experience in the right set and setting. It changed my brain, my life and me as a person for the better. I always recommend the documentary Have a nice trip: Adventures in Psychedelics on Netflix. Nick Offerman from Parks and Rec is the narrator and the comedians in it are hilarious! But, it's also very educational and touches on the different types.

  • Isn't that illegal?

  • I’ve only had the psychedelic experience but I know it’s being used for therapy now and I’ve wanted to learn more.

@SweetJessie it's being legalized in some places in America. They're pretty easy to get in California

I love mushrooms. And all the psychedelics to be honest.

@Gabrielle_Love you should look into Lightning in a Bottle, Same Same but Different, and all the other transformational festivals in socal, and around the wworld. These are your people.

  • @bellablu23 - couldn't have said it better, I had no idea, no idea at all what I was in for. I completed the Ketamine program offered by Nue Life - huge fan of the alt-treatments now. I allowed myself to enjoy the first 3 Ketamine treatments, and on the 4th I decided to do the work moving forward. The way you are able to re-process memories and their respective emotions, store them, and recall them again as though the new ones were always the original - simply mind blowing. Without writing before and after, and video recording myself, I don't know that I would appreciate how much had changed.

I’m so happy to hear how much implementing shrooms into your weekly routine has helped you. I’ve worked with many individuals who find things in the psychedelic realm to help them a lot with their healing, cuddle journey, mental/emotional health and wellbeing. Nice to see it helping others here in the cuddle community as well !!!

  • Psychedelics can really help make the world a better place by defeating depression, anxiety, addiction and more. They are powerful and should be approached with respect and care.

@SweetJessie the sale of psilocybin is mostly illegal in the US although there are some cases where it’s legal and other places where it’s decriminalized.

But if you think about it psilocybin mushrooms grow naturally almost everywhere. Which makes me wonder, who gets charged with a crime when they grow in a natural, public space? Do the mushrooms themselves get arrested? :)

Anyone interested in approaching this in a responsible, safe way should find their local psychedelic society; learn what things like set & setting mean. Check out legal options like ketamine or for stronger life changing experiences there churches all over with special permission to legally provide substances like Ayahuasca and other plant medicines.

  • It’s decriminalized for personal use in California. A friend of mine manufactures high-grade commerically-packaged softgels; gummies; and mouth sprays that are hold at several dispensaries here (and a few other States like Oregon, for example). Microdosing is a great therapy when used correctly (so is Mega Dosing, on occasion, but that’s a whole other convo). šŸ„šŸ§™šŸ¾ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ„

  • I'm on a fast from all psychedelics currently... But I've had incredibly profound experiences. And some that were very uncomfortable. I love mushrooms though. Very gentle medicine and even safer than weed (in terms of how it affects your physical body)

I read that somewhere don't quote me though!

  • I recently attended a ā€œPlant Pharmacologyā€ panel discussion. One of the panelist was Cassandra Quave, the author of ā€œPlant Hunterā€. She is a molecular biologist who travels the world collecting samples of plants with medicinal properties.

According to her, ā€œwhat antibiotics were to the 20th century, psychedelics will be to the 21st centuryā€ because of their benefits for mental health (PTSD in particular) when used in conjunction with ā€œtalk therapyā€.

During the Q&A portion of the panel, an audience member asked about the risk of addiction from micro-dosing psilocybin. One of the other panelist who specialized in behavioral medicine said while there is always a risk with any drug, that he was not aware of anyone ever becoming addicted from micro-dosing.

  • I think the research on psychedelics used for treating resistant depression, PTSD, and the like is really promising. A lot of neurobiologist AND psychologists have been jazzed about them, and getting those two to agree on anything is a small miracle in and of itself 🤣

However I would caution those with more serious mental disorders to discuss a plan with their medical providers first. While microdosing is fairly innocuous on its own, it can be all too easy for it to interact with other substances/medications in unpredictable ways and a bad experience without support can set you back further.

Most of the research supporting the use of psychedelics for treating mental disorders, substance abuse disorders, etc. have been done under highly regulated situations and at full dose. There has been almost no quality or repeatable research done on microdosing - it's all been anecdotal accounts. That's not to say don't do it - even placebo effects can be powerful when harnessed effectively. Just proceed with caution if you have a history of mental illness, substance abuse, or are taking other medications.

It doesn't hurt to discuss the idea with a medical practitioner (of any kind) who knows your history and can help make sure that you're dosing safely and not overlooking any pitfalls. There's even telehealth platforms for it now, so it's far more accessible than it once was.

  • I tried a large dose around 2015. I never take anything illegal because I could get tested at work if I get into an accident regardless if it’s my fault or not. I took a week off of work for vacation and tried it. I’ve always been curious about different things. Especially since I have a high tolerance to medicationā€˜s. Before I had both knees replaced, I was bone on bone. Fentanyl and oxycodone did nothing for me. Vicodin or Norco barely took the edge of the pain off. So I was always in pain mostly. Tramadol helped to a particular degree but I would have to stop twice a year to go onto something else because I would get immune to it.

Back to the mushrooms. My girlfriend at the time was doing them in certain social gatherings and I was curious, but didn’t want to get in trouble with work. So I tried them and felt nothing.

  • @Gabrielle_Love posted: "have any of you tried mushrooms? ... if not, why haven’t you?"

I haven't. After watching weed degenerate a close family member to the point it was all they thought about, came up with theories on, and wanted to talk about at every turn for hours, I've been turned off to any and all kinds of substances.

This thread has been a fascinating read though, and I can't say I'm not curious about mushrooms, after all the positive and well-written remarks.

  • Nice... A good trip to you!

  • I've been in the shamanic ceremonies that facilitate this and other plant medicines- it's not for everyone. I've had positive journeys and not so positive journeys, I'm grateful there was a shaman there to help me out during the challenging one.

I'm highly sensitive so I don't do micro doses, it's like any medicine - use it but don't abuse it. The real magic is inside. 🩷

I heard, from a friend, that one major dose, followed by a couple of weeks of microdosing, helped her re-process the trauma of Adverse Childhood Experiences to the point that she finally found peace from a crippling depression. She said that the Mushrooms "told" her to "adopt your Little One," referring to her Inner Child. The change has been remarkable!

Nature's medicine is ALWAYS the best, in my opinion, and in my fantasies, I have enjoyed a few macro-dosing trips, and a course of micro. But that's just a fantasy---that led me to understanding that in the same way that an atom is a tiny version of a solar system, my own experience is as a tiny, living, moving, fractal version of the Greater Life. Bonfire, spark. Ocean, drop. Kind of fixed a few things for me, after leaving religion!

Fantasies... So fun! Thanks, OP, for this thread!!!

  • I personally haven’t tried any of that but I second what @Umoja & @human1 said. I think elevating or reconnecting dots is fully within our own power to do without the help of mushrooms or mind-altering drugs, but I also think that in medicinal/psychologically healing settings they could be a far better alternative to other conventional drugs/therapies especially for addictions, ptsd, trauma and depression.

I would also be curious as to their effect on dreams and physical health.

@BoomerSpooner That's interesting that your cardiologist says that. I can remember at least two heart attacks I've had during a peak. However, I will say that these were not casual doses and this was before my quad bypass. It very well could've been my preexisting condition rather than the mushrooms that brought those on.

I'm actually a huge advocate for psychedelics, but I do believe that they cannot help everybody (contrary to the Timothy Leary school of thought). However, for those that are seeking benefit from this experience, it can be very good.

I do have mixed feelings about microdosing. Although I see some positive, it's not much different from being dependent on other substances to maintain. I don't think this is a permanent solution. I believe when you get the message, you need to hang up the phone. Being comfortable in your "sober" state is pretty important.

And here's a quick pic of my small collection. The one that's not labeled in the middle is called Enigma, which will be slightly stronger than Albino Penis Envy.

  • I'm in Denver, CO and they're supposedly legal here. I have no clue how to get any. Microdosing would help with anxiety based on what I've researched.

  • I’ve been microdosing with šŸ«šŸ„ since January and it has so drastically Changed my life for the better. And every few months or so I do a macro dose and focus on reflection spiritual growth and gratitude. It took me months of trying different brands before I found one I really love that’s very wholesome vegan gluten-free feels clean.
