It seems that poor reading comprehension and wild assumptions causes a lot of drama here. I've had a couple people here be upset with me based off something they believed I had written.
But I can sometimes lack reading between the lines comprehension, the opposite issue I guess.
I think I prefer my problem though, as making up stories in your head then getting mad at the story you've made up and projecting it at someone is not great sounding.

@stormydaycuddle well thunderstorms offend me when they decide to boom loudly and wake me up in the middle of the night, as well as when they cause any internet or power disruptions (especially in the middle of a video game) 😂

Hmm could rainbows be offensive to someone that's colorblind? Or perhaps if all those colors at once are too stimulating for someone? Of course anything that's a symbol for anything else might offend SOMEONE out there. I'm sure the bat-signal offended some criminals who saw it. 😁

@Minestrone101 It helps to remember that no one can control anyone else’s reaction to anything. You can only control how you handle yourself. Constantly editing yourself from fear of others’ opinions is debilitating and a path towards losing sight of who you are.
Know your values, and act in accordance with them. If you experience undesired consequences from doing that, be open to learning from the experience; adjust your behavior and opinions; but stay grounded in your most deeply-held values. That is the best way to stop worrying about what’s offensive and what’s not.

I only find cats offensive if they do not like me. That hurts my feelings.

I was okay with the poop. The glitter got me, tho & now, I am triggered. No, really. Is there anything more offensive than glitter!? THAT STUFF NEVER GOES AWAY. It's one harmless Christmas gift exchange and it's embedded in your throw pillows FOR LIFE. I hope I made someone snicker or giggle.
