What video game lost to time deserves to be resurrected?

Sorry, I didn't know that. All I have is the base game but I haven't even installed it yet. I might not after seeing that info.

    Thx

  • @superjoe - You don't have to buy every expansion at once. Play the base game then slowly add content over time.

  • Nobody remembers Star Castle.

  • @BearHugz87 omg! I was about to say legend of legaia and legend of mana! I thought I was the only one that ever remembered them. Playing legend of mana on my FC Twin, I cried every time they kicked him out of town 😭😭 the music is so good. And legend of legaia was an unlimited amount of fun with all the different moves. And I always spent a good chunk of time just levelling my guys until they could swipe the floor with the next boss easily. I do that all the time in FF7 😂😂

Other games I would want to have back:

    Perfect dark
    SimTower
    Chips challenge
    Musashi
    Abe’s odyssey
    Chrono trigger

  • I'd like to see the early Resident Evil games released again, on modern consoles. There have been a few excellent remakes in the last several years, but the original titles have only seen release on the PS3 and PSVita digital stores—which aren't going to be around forever.

The Legacy of Kain series would be grand, too.

  • @Sheena123
omg I loved Legend of Legaia!

    @i_gallivant
I hear ya. I would love a remaster of the original (as well as a remaster of the GameCube remake) which includes the original music, not that garbage on the dual shock director's cut. That always seems to be the version that sony ports over since it has dual shock support...ugh. Also Code Veronica needs a remaster, and I would love the remake treatment like 2, 3, and 4 have gotten.

  • I loved Parsec for the Texas Instrument (TI-99/4A). For 1982 and only using like 8 colors it was great. The ships looked cool; not just a triangle like Asteroids.

  • The old Hitchhiker's script games for computers were a blast to play.

  • OMG, @bekah_cuddles, me too! 😂🙈 It’s not exactly the most relaxing game of Pong I have ever played…

Not gonna lie - Duck Hunter was my favorite thing to do with my sister when we were kids. 🙃 I would do just about anything to get that feeling back. We’re at a place in life where we could both really use that throwback where stress was not so heavy.

Ultimately, Joust needs to come back!

  • We need series like Parasite Eve and Legacy of Kain back. Both had some of the best writing I've ever seen in a game.

  • Would be cool to see another power stone wars.

  • The Legacy of Kain series. I would love seeing those remade using a current game engine. They had a great story, a bit of open-world to explore and try to figure out how things affected different parts of the map, and I loved the fighting and puzzle aspects of it.

  • @bluefish281 oh man, I totally forgot all about splinter cell. That game was freaking epic.

They also need to bring back StarCraft.

Would love to see this one get a remake or a remaster with the original and all DLC

  • Atari probably spent more money on this commercial than they did on the game.

  • I miss my old Nintendo Metroid game, my sibling traded it for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles without my consent but he thought he was making a good trade (long time ago)... lol kindof funny to remember silly childhood things like that.

  • Wing Command or Skyrim

    ET the Extraterrestrial obvs

Seriously though there was a GREAT basebuilder for Sega Genesis called Herzog Zwei that should be back.

Also Perfect Dark and Goldeneye 64

  • Goes in garage, blows dust off box, opens and removes complete VECTREX system including Scramble, Bezerk, Polar Rescue, Star Castle, Bedlam, Spike and RipOff.

  • I wish they'd remake PIRATES!
That was my all-time favorite video game.
During the progression of the game you would amass a lot of wealth after plundering various towns and eventually you could get married to some governor's daughter and have your own plantation to retire on :)

  • @w8ed_blanket Valve is uncomfortable with any game titled with the number 3.

The game Descent came out in 1995 and I'm not sure how one would play it on modern hardware. It might be nice to have a side computer running an old OS for titles like these

I want my Bloody Roar back. Bloody Roar would be so killer with today's technology.

  • I'm slightly obsessed with Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance. And while they have reissued the OG for newer consoles, I'd love to see them come out with an entirely new game.

  • Darn it. I can't remember what it was called. It was a post apocalyptic MMORPG that ran for a while. I loved it but it slowed down everyone's machines.

  • @stormydaycuddle hmm all I can of off the top of my head is Fallout 76, or if it was a long time ago, Hellgate: London.

  • @CharlieBear no. It was a little known one. I think aside from the technical issues it was ahead of its time. I think it would do well these days.

@stormydaycuddle Oh what about Auto Assault. It was an mmo car combat game like mad max. It was very short lived and pretty obscure. It was fun and I wish I did better.

  • @CharlieBear Fallen Earth!!! I looked it up! Ha! Been trying to think of the name of that one forever.

  • @stormydaycuddle oh nice! I hadn’t played that one.
