I know it isn’t easy for you and it’s all VOLUNTEER. I know the amount of work that MUST be involved behind the curtain taking care of all the icky stuff.
I know that you are ALL trying to keep the community safe from predators and we don’t even see a TENTH of that because they’re not on the forums.
I appreciate you all for taking time to work towards a fabulous community of cuddlers who follow the terms of service and the guidelines we all agreed to.
I imagine EVERY thread would offend SOMEONE so thank you for trying to navigate that to the best of your ability. I can’t imagine it would be easy.

There is also an opportunity for all who have a desire to help the community by putting in your application to be a moderator. @gary or @Mark have mentioned that multiple times.
From what I have heard…. SO MICH happens that we don’t even see. All the reports and all the incidents/problems go on behind the scenes. “Whack a mole” is a phrase I’ve heard multiple times. Trying to keep the ick at bay.
Forum moderating is a very small portion of it. And all of these folks have full time jobs.
I can’t think of a single moderator who says their emotion never enters in…… it’s a thankless job and I am grateful, but I would NOT want to be in their shoes.
@sillysassy -- my sentiments exactly. Thank you for the elegance of the way you support and word things in your discussions and thoughts, I know I've appreciated it for years, and I'm sure the mods do as well. 💞

No. I would just read the flag and decide if it is worth addressing based on the text provided in the flag and what the comment says. It doesn’t matter who flagged it. I don’t usually read the forum post or all the comments, so certain people feel it’s a biased response when I’m just responding to a random flag with little context and then going about my day. Though there have been exceptions and it is very draining.
No. At least I don’t have one written down anywhere. I notice usernames that flag a lot but don’t take action against people for making frivolous flags, and I have never skipped flags that I disagree with personally. If the person flagged is a friend I’ve made on the site and it would difficult for me to edit, I leave the flag in the queue for another mod to handle. I have never dismissed a flag in a scenario like this.
No. I use the timeout feature very sparingly and never for excessive flagging since that doesn’t disrupt anyone but mods.
I currently do not see any.

@Katota Hahaha that's a good term for it 😅 And oh yeah, it makes me happy to see them get banned bahaha. I don't mind real pros -- I personally get the ick from the idea, but I understand the need for the stratification of pros, but they are open and up-front about BEING pros. That's fine.
It's the insidious people taking advantage of those who want comfort and catfishing them monetarily. It's just gross.

1000% couldn't agree more, if it wasn't for the fantastic mods being so on top of the occasional creeper than sneaks into my messages, I'd have given up on CC years ago. Thanks to the mods I feel safe and completely backed up in holding my boundaries.
