I don’t think it’s a thing that most people can do with a stranger. It requires a level of self awareness and honesty that most people don’t have. And absolutely if this is your thing ask about it prior to meeting. But I’m pretty sure that applies across the board to whatever your thing is

I think in certain situations prolonged eye contact can lead to some thoughts not appropriate for the site. It has for me in the past, but that's prolonged not the conversational appropriate looks.
@ReltvlyCanshes Eye contact definitely tends to invite intimacy and vulnerability. 🤔 The problem is that not everyone agrees on what that means, or even what is intended by it.😅 Platonic intimacy between cuddle partners is just kinda rare I guess?
Well I'm not confusing it, i am clear that prolonged eye contact does lead me in that direction so I'd avoid it in a place that isn't intended.

Eye contact is everything to me......intimate, yes, of course, and absolutely necessary for connecting while cuddling. But ironically, I lead my sessions to actually avoid eye contact in the first 1/2 of the session. I think it needs to be earned, so to speak, and not rushed into. Conversation with head on heart is my favorite beginning, and by the time you're ready to mutually gaze, it feels like you already know each other, and smiling at the same time becomes an important component.
eye contact is a huge for me. like, i might be like significantly more inclined to meet someone in person if i have a good shot of their eyes to read their eyes with. I can read eyes really well. I really appreciate this thread for reminding me that some people who avert their eyes aren't hiding anything though. thanks.
