I’m new here so have yet to earn karma. But the pro I tried to hire declined my request because I didn’t have any karma.
Question: How can I hire a pro if I don’t yet have karma?
Many Pros do not require karma as a pre-requisite to scheduling a session, so it should be fairly easy.

What @TxTom said. Also, add some photos to your profile, that will help. (If you are a public figure and doing so could be unwise, atttach a photo to your opening message.)
Remove the reference to 'handsome' in your bio. Nobody cares - certainly not a professional - and although there is nothing wrong with such a comment in itself, it just hints at the non-platonic world. Which is something you want to avoid.

It's never ok to ask for Karma, for several obvious reasons. In particular it could put the other person in an awkward position. However, if you write nice Karma, many people will take the hint and reciprocate (if you were nice). If you do write Karma, it must be true, fair, polite and not misleading to somebody who may rely on it.
Having said that, don't rely on Karma on its own: it's just one indicator amongst several. False or malicious Karma is routinely deleted by the Mods: if you encounter it, please Report it.
'Trading' Karma - I'll write good Karma for you if you write good Karma for me - will get you banned immediately.
