I thought that scene with Bruce Lee in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was really funny, but that was because I took that memory of Cliff’s as not being real and instead was him just making himself out to be a badass in a false memory involving Bruce Lee. I didn’t think they were actually making Bruce Lee out to be full of himself, and as I recall, in another memory by another character (I think Sharon Tate) he was cool and nothing like how he was portrayed in Cliff’s memory. I later read others had taken it the same way I had.
