Well, I'm offering any needed support for free off of here (I suppose it's not allowed here as a professional), so I'm not arguing semantics for financial gain. I'm lucky that not so many people have taken me up that I need to reassess or start picking and choosing who to say yes to. My primary concern right now is people making it through safely. I do disagree with people charging the same rate as a cuddle session, but I also disagree with new professionals charging as much as experienced ones or anyone charging more than $150/hr, but alas, people can do what they want. There are plenty of professionals offering it for less that people can find that if they really want. Charging something for this shouldn't be shunned though. We are all just trying to make it through, both mentally and financially. I am lucky that my expenses are reduced enough by not traveling that I can afford to donate some of my time to those in need but seeing a current reduction in their finances themselves. It is a scary time for many. ๐
@ubergigglefritz it's gettin rough out there. The 7-11 near me is out of the little slim jims I like ๐๐ not to mention we're on day way too many without sports !!!
@ubergigglefritz Agree with you completely on that last post. I do not have a problem with someone offering anything for a fee. I'm just not a fan of tricky marketing, and I'm marketing against it in an attempt at leveling the playing field. And for others, not me. Personally I am not a fan of phones (had one stuck to my head most of my career) or webcams (dell sticker is over mine so it can't be hacked). But I do like people, believe it or not. I just prefer them in person, personally.
"I just prefer them in person, personally."
Me too. ๐ I need this to be over...
What no slim jims ? The ghost of Macho man Randy savage must be furious !!
I didn't know he had died : ( This might not come as a surprise but.....I don't watch tv. Gotta hop on BBC once a day to see what's going on out there
@AceCuddlerMike so is your issue primarily with the label , or that it's being offered as a paid service? If called something else would it still bother you that it's offered as a paid service ? Personally I see it as adjusting services to meet market needs. Both parties being willing to do so and it benefits both parties to some extent or another then I don't see a problem with it . A grown adult should have no problem distinguishing between physically cuddling with somebody and, for lack of a better word , virtual cuddling . So long as someone is not trying to inflate the actual benefits and what a session entails , which unfortunately I do see from time to time , I have no issue with it
@pmvines The label!!!! This is a cuddle site. I don't care that people pay other people just to talk to them. It's nothing new. I've never called a 900 number but I'm aware they exist. I personally do not believe it should go on here, but I do not own the site.
Ok . What do you propose it be called ?
@geoff1000 - I beg to disagree with you post saying the only thing that matters is what's in the brain of the sender. Receiving an email or online message pales in comparison to the experience of finding a real handwritten letter in the mailbox. In my younger days, girls would send me letters, sometimes they would enclose a photo or perhaps put a dab of their perfume on the paper. If they were feeling romantic, they would kiss the letter leaving a lip impression with their lipstick and they would leave acronyms like SWALK or BOLTOP. I feel sorry for folks who have never experienced this.
@UKGuy I am younger than you but still remember a time before home computers, email and cell phones . I had several friends who I would write back and forth with and it was always exciting to receive their mail . Sometimes we would send little gifts etc . I still do that to an extent with some friends where we might order a surprise gift online , or send a momento from a vacation , or even order surprise takeout to be sent from 600 miles away . I agree with you , in that people who haven't experienced having something they can hold in their hand and doesn't instantaneously appear out of nowhere are missing out on a big piece of building connections
@pmvines Phone call? Webcam? Call them what they are, maybe? I mean since you asked... If interested, you could take a poll of the others who said there is no such thing as a virtual cuddle long before I joined this discussion. Maybe get a consensus. : ) I don't know who the first person was to come up with "virtual cuddle" or why. Was it someone who was just looking to keep money coming in, but didn't want to be told it was inappropriate for this site or another cuddle site? I guess that wasn't necessary as ownership has decided to allow it. I mean, it's income for them as well. But maybe the creator of the phrase wasn't taking chances. Just speculation of course.
@UKGuy Sounds nice : ) Now days we'll just have to watch old movies or time travel movies from times when that type of thing was common. Virtual Romance
I call mine phone calls or video calls, ha. I'm also sending daily video messages to some people. I don't have any weird marketing tactics, ha.
Yawn. Can someone do something better than be this bitter online right now ๐
What a concept that if a certain service is not for you to move on and not put down a large part of the community that does enjoy and do these sessions.
Reflect on that. I'm turning off notifications because I clearly have better things to do then be a ninny over wording to be the determent of others needs. Speculation indeed ๐๐
Off to enjoy my life now. ๐๐๐
@pmvines My first tour abroad was Monrovia, Liberia. I agree re the excitement of letter mail. And for us, we were receiving letters 2 weeks after they were written. And there was precious little to do there that was any fun.
"Romeo, Romeo, wherefore ( = why ) art thou Romeo. A rose by any other name would smell as sweet"
@MissAdventurous What a surprise, another person charging for talking has the same opinion. I really do apologize to anyone who actually NEEDS the money to survive. I feel like, to someone asking for money to talk to them that I'm doing the cuddle pro version of c*ck blocking. Again, sorry. And no, the discussion on whether "virtual cuddle" is a thing was not speculation, but you knew that right? Just trying to use words however it benefits you most.....again.
I don't know why so many people are being so aggressive here. The site is for those who enjoy non-romantic cuddling ; and millions of people around the world would say that is a corruption of the term "cuddling".
People who live in glass houses of pedantry, shouldn't throw stones.
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ This guy.... You are real hilarious. yes! Please! Tell me more about who and what I represent. I REALLY care ๐๐๐
You realize you are no different than every other whine that has graced this forum with your abrasive nonsense. ๐๐๐๐๐
Please get in line with the rest of the same, tired people who complain about that same thing all the time. Almost as consistent as the boner forum subjects, thanks for the entertainment. ๐๐๐๐๐ It sure doesn't bother me buddy.
This is all a reflection of you. ๐ Good luck in the cuddling world. ๐๐๐
@geoff1000 The aggression is coming from people who want money for talking. I'm trying to be accurate, fair, and honest. And I've just been referred to as "bitter" and a "ninny". Personal attacks. Yet I've not called anyone anything.
@MissAdventurous If it is truly your opinion that anything I say is nonsensical, that kind of speaks to your intelligence, or lack thereof. Please refrain from personal attacks and discuss the topics. Glad turning off the notifications worked so well. Peace
It's really simple. The virtual cuddle sessions will be good for some, not for others. If it doesn't work for you, keep it moving. Unfortunate that disrespect often follows disagreement at times.
