What kills a good cuddle?

  • Dear@pty1999 I meant to say have that misfortune, not err. Anyone can get a disrespectful cuddle in spite of their efforts to avoid it. I'm nearly incoherent, so that means it's bedtime. Good night.

  • Stinky silent fart😜

  • Have to say, if I'm comfortable, I can lay there for a while longer and not break that relaxed feeling. I have never set an alarm but I do have a watch on. Maybe saying something like "I don't even know what time it is anymore because it's been so enjoyable"
Will be a good cue to its past the time without making it so abrupt.

I think y'all still need to maintain a hard stop time, just ease into it so it is not abrupt. Of course, whatever or however you decide to do your sessions is entirely up to you but know that some people will definitely take advantage of it and stay for as long as they can, as someone previously mentioned it here, unless you stick to your guns.

  • I had a cuddle where there was no cuddling. She literally just had her leg on me and that was it. After nothing but fun cuddles I knew one day a bad apple would emerge

  • @Gabriel2k For sure. i think the people who set timers 10 mins before the session ends have the right idea (with non-jarring alarms).

People who don’t understand what consent means. People who don’t understand what platonic means. People who don’t know how to be a mensch. All others stem from these three roots.

@Tanyabelle What a great thought, have the same myself. It's not like there is a waiting room outside the door. Why do people have to be so strict on the time. Especially if both are really enjoying the time together.

  • @Tanyabelle to someone respectful of your time and the contract, yes, that would be a cue for them to wrap things up and leave shortly.

To someone who is hoping for more value for the dollar or doesn’t take the contact seriously, it would be a cue for them to try to eke out more of your time for free. To a boundary pusher, it might seem like an invitation possibly.

  • @panda619 if you went to a restaurant and someone put the food next to you but they didn’t let eat it, you would be very upset. But you only maybe spend 15 to 40 bucks. But if you take two hours out of your life to cuddle with someone and they just lay there. Wouldn’t you want your money back. Is there a place where you can report people that don’t really cuddle they didn’t do anything horribly wrong but they didn’t give the service they said they would.

  • @TheMidnightOwl you really nailed it in three short sentences.

  • Once more, @TheMidnightOwl , for the people in the back:

People who don’t understand what consent means. People who don’t understand what platonic means. People who don’t know how to be a mensch. All others stem from these three roots.

  • Someone asking for a forehead kiss....it's platonic damnit! I don't think forehead kisses are platonic.

I'm reading all of the comments about people kicking others out the door, what I've done to keep track of time is make playlists that last a specific amount of time. I found that this makes people feel a lot less like a transaction and more like a human being who just wants a little bit of your time. I usually tell cuddlers when time is up without a 15 min warning and no one seems upset. They're all really understanding. Maybe I'm just lucky. Usually right before a session starts I will spend some time with cuddlers so that they feel comfortable with me. That could be a reason why they're so understanding.

  • Mine would be during a cuddle someone said to me "man it stinks that all we can do is cuddle". I won't lie a response like that warrants me to just get up when the alarm goes off and get my money and leave. It's now made me a bit uncomfortable and I don't want to take my time wrapping it up as I normally would. So for those instances were the Pro maybe does that, conside that there is a small possibility you said one comment that made them feel uneasy. Other then that I've had great experiences so far! 😁

  • I am not a clock watcher and frequently give extra time to my clients unpaid, purely just because I am also enjoying our session and never want them to feel like Im just pushing them out HOWEVER there are MANY cuddle clients I have had that will try to push their cuddle times to even an hour past their stop time, unpaid. As someone that sometimes struggles with advocating for myself and doesnt want to end a session on an awkward or uncomfprtable note, this can be really disheartening as I am spending a lot of extra time just trying to get this person to get straightened up and out of the door.

I am also afraid to be confrontational to a man in my home. What if he gets angry with me and decides to hurt me because he doeent want to leave? What if he is upset I didnt sleep with him and boundaries have already been pushed? Everything is fine when he is having a good time, but you never know how they will react if they become angry or provoked no matter how kind or gentle they appear when things are good. If time is up, you should get up when the pro says time is up.

All therapists wrap up their session on time or within a few minutes of stop time. All massage therapists too. All personal trainers. Yes, I like cuddling, but this is also a business to me, and its not exactly my ideal situation to cuddle with a strange man unpaid or feel forced to allow them to stay an extended amount past their time. I enjoy my actual career, but I expect to get paid at work for my time just as I do when Im cuddling. To be honest, cuddling is a labor of love for me because I often get uncomfortable with physical touch but i like helping people and cuddling allows me to help others and make extra money to pay bills/afford my own forms of self care.

A few things: You are paying a professional for a service. If that service is for one hour and you want more time than one hour, you must pay. This is how this works.

I am not a clock watcher but I do use alarms so that both my time and your time is respected. I understand after a session you're comfortable and relaxed as you should be! However, pros are at work. You wouldn't ask a masseuse for 10 more minutes for free would you? Or an Uber driver for another 10 minutes in the car because you enjoyed the drive? Would you ask a chef for an extra dish for free just because? No. That would be disrespectful.

I see your point but honestly it sounds like you're trying to weasle more time out of pros for free, have them cater to you and push their boundaries. Trying to justify getting a little extra because prices are high is a sad excuse. My concern for your comfort ends when my alarm goes off. I'm strict with my time because it is in fact MY time. If you want MY time or any pros time you can pay for it. If you don't want to pay for it there are enthusiasts available. If there's not and your only option is a pro, maybe go over your concerns before hand.

Pros here don't go through a training process. We are lucky to have karma and karma reviews are a great way to see if the pro you're trying to hire is decent and worth their rate.

To any pros reading this, give them an inch and they will demand a mile. Know your worth and don't let anyone guilt or bully you for your time especially when it makes you uncomfortable to say no. If you're uncomfortable that is usually a huge indicator it's time to say no! You are worth it and owe it to yourself. Take payment BEFORE you start your session and be safe!

"Someone asking for a forehead kiss....it's platonic damnit! I don't think forehead kisses are platonic."

@theCuddleDrgn I am guilty of this... when we are cuddling like where they are curled up into my chest and I am wrapped around them with the side of my face wresting on their head, I get super tempted to give them a kiss on the forehead. I legit know its weird to and would be totally uncool but the urge is strong lol... almost instinctual.

  • @OliveGreen "My concern for your comfort ends when my alarm goes off." 🤯 So cold. I'm sorry, but comments like that are why there are so few pros I would personally see, and why some people routinely travel hours to see me instead of closer pros. Everyone is looking for something different, so I'm sure people love you who see you, that just came across as so icy to me. Shivers. 🥶

  • @tacpmurg thanks for being honest! I try to avoid kisses all together because it is a slippery slope in my opinion. I've considered not seeing this person again, but I'm glad you gave me some perspective.

  • @theCuddleDrgn i think with us we checked the time to make sure our cuddle. Session was over and we had one last quick squeeze. Then we ran for your Uber at and then I had to run back to grab my Uber eats. That was definitely one way to end out cuddle session! Anyone in the Philadelphia area go see cuddledragon 😊

@OliveGreen Please don't think that the word 'Professional' applies to everyone. As there is no training or qualifications to be one. It just means you paid $20 to have the tag. And no I don't expect extra free time just because I want it and think I deserve it. Your comparisons are way off as no none I met I would consider a real 'professional'. I do not push any boundaries at all. I let the other person make all the moves as far as how THEY like to cuddle. You 'Pros' need to remember even though the client isn't getting paid OUR time is worth something also. Apparently you need to re-read the original post and the comments along the way. Remember every area is different, different people, different attitudes.

@OliveGreen I don't see how you don't get what @mickey46834 is trying to say! These aren't professionals, so they shouldn't watch the clock! Sure we pay them, and they provide a service, but really they are just enjoying cuddling with him. If they are enjoying it so much they should stay and stop running for the door! Like why do pros keep getting up and leaving right away?!

Remember every area is different, different people, different attitudes.

@mickey46834 On a completely unrelated note, do you happen to live in Florida? I get a real Florida vibe, maybe its the tan.

  • @tacpmurg: One of these days your sense of humor and my tea are going to intersect in a way very unfortunate for anything in front of me.

  • Excessive cell phone use. It's one thing for a cuddler to check-in periodically with a safety person ("Hey, I'm still alive, haven't been decapitated or anything"). Likewise, there are some calls or texts that are IMPORTANT - if the school nurse calls to say "your kid got hurt", that's important. But a professional cuddler should not be having more or less continuous texts/chats on the phone during a session.

Nope, Terre Haute, Indiana area. Which is really crappy anymore for anything close to this kind of thing. I have to go to Indy or Bloomington to even find a cuddler. This area 'pros' are not what I would consider a pro anything, they ask for tips, they get sexual then ask for more more money. The list goes on. That's why I always put the word pro in quotations because even though the have the tag I've only met one that was close to being a pro. Someone mentioned looking for good karma, no one around here has any, or seems to give any. Wonder why.....

  • or seems to give any. Wonder why.....

    Why indeed, whyyyy indeeeed.

We should all ponder this deeply.

  • @mickey46834 unfortunately, even good karma doesn't necessarily mean anything. 😝 There are endless reasons why people give good karma even when the person isn't all that great. 🤷‍♀️ All "good karma" really tells you is the person is real, they had a session, and it wasn't a scam. To find a real professional, you have to look for so much more than just that, and the numbers are few and far between...
