I feel that’s just your opinion. Everyone has one. But interesting to read that you know the experience others are having while cuddling? Anyway don’t feel obligated to answer! HNY! 🥳🧧
@hoosierdan76 No. Work is work . Seeking it out behind your partners back without their knowledge of consent is much different. You know that already though. You're just giving a tit for tat argument but it's not the same.
@hoosierdan76 As I noted before, if the pro's partner knows she is doing this for a living and is okay with it, then she is not cheating on him. If she knows that he is also seeking out cuddling online, and is okay with it, then he is not cheating on her. The problem comes if one or the other is doing it in secret. If, for example, she has told him, but he has not told her, then there is no hypocrisy involved if she finds out and objects - she was honest, he was not.
Well that depends, so for instance my half is on here and it's ok for him to go cuddle, but when I go cuddle he gets upset and angry. For instance he deactivated his account when I made mine, but he still mingles with people from here trying to hide it. So would that be cheating, absolutely. Why else would you get mad at the other person for doing what you are doing!
@huggingcomes1st So he is cuddling without your okay?
Dont matter what its called. If you are hiding from your spouse yes it's wrong.
@Anthony404 As long as the rules as clearly stated on the homepage are followed, cuddling is ABSOLUTELY N-O-T cheating. If your significant other has a problem with it, than that's up to you, but intent is the first element of a "crime", so the way I see it- If your intentions are pure, then no, it's not cheating BUT if your significant other's not cool with it, then break up with them or it shouldn't be happening. Respect NEEDS to become a thing again!
A marriage, or a relationship in general, is (should be?) what the members in the relationship want/agreed, not what a bunch of strangers (whether those that write laws or those that express themselves on an Internet forum) judge it should be.
Cheating is breaking the agreement you have with your spouse, behind their back. If the agreement is that thou shall not cook with anyone else, then cooking with anyone else is cheating. "Even" extra-marital sex / sleeping elsewhere is not cheating if it is agreed by the spouses. If the agreement is that thou shall have a local work that allows you to come back home (nearly) every evening, but you suddenly you decide to change career and become a sailor and be away from home for 10 months at a time, that is a breach of the agreement, but not cheating since you don't do it behind the spouse's back, they would know about it. Same with cuddling.
So nobody can answer that question for you but your spouse and you.
Yes, if you're hiding it
I think it’s different for men than it is for women due to a certain biological response. Even though it’s completely platonic, Some girlfriends/wives may feel uncomfortable with it if they know their man is out cuddling other women. Your best bet is to ask your significant other
I do not understand if one is married, why do they have to go somewhere else to cuddle. Partner does not cuddle or cuddling is ineffective. Sounds like more of an open marriage scenario where one has to go outside to meet all the needs.
I mean whats the point of marriage if it cannot satisfy basic needs such as cuddling. There could be exceptions, i agree, like if you are a sailor and are on water for couple of months, its ok to cuddle with your captain.
@roni56 I'm sure there are all sorts of reasons this happens. Some people have spouses who are incapable of cuddling for medical reasons.
In my case, I never did this with anyone outside while I was married, but my spouse was not into cuddling at all. She also would have wanted a divorce if I cuddled behind her back or even asked about it. So I did without.
The short answer is this...** if you have to ask, then the answer is yes it is cheating**.
You know in your heart what the answer already is. Asking the question of strangers is your guilty conscience looking for justification for doing it. Once you cross that line, there is no going back. Even coming clean and confessing (after the fact) will only place the seed of doubt in your partner's mind and heart. Some relationships can survive this but for most, it only festers and eats away at the core until the relationship ultimately dies. Regardless of whether the cuddling was platonic or sexual, it will still have the same terminal effect.
IF you really want/need cuddling, then speak to your partner and tell them. They may surprise you with their answer...
Can thumb wrestling be cheating? What about a walk in the park? I think the answer is yes. It's not the act that's cheating it's everything around it. People in open relationships have sex with others and don't consider it cheating but some swingers or poly folk consider it cheating if it's done without the other.
I would love to hear what The Polyamorous and consensual non monogamous cuddlers have to say on this topic .
If I was married to my husband lol … I Will definitely say this .. He will not be allowed .. On the other hand he will be too busy with trying to keep up with me .. He wouldn’t go looking either 😂
I’m silly . Don’t pay me no mind … Good morning ☀️
@gloria444 i understand this completely and it's exact how i feel about it
@WriterGF yes he is.
As someone who is currently in a long-term, monogamous relationship with an intelligent, funny, amazing, beautiful, compassionate, tough, integrity-having, ethical person whose eyes send me over the moon, I can say that I'm here because he gets CLAUSTROPHOBIC when I wrap him up like a big damned boa constrictor!! lololol!! <<Love that mental picture!! lolol
His needs are quite different from mine. His desire for touch doesn't match my own. There really IS such a thing as "touch-averse," and for those of us who genuinely love and adore our partners who DON'T enjoy touch, life can be hard! I was GRATEFUL to have found the CONCEPT of platonic cuddling! He feels comfortable (read: RELIEVED! lol) with my having found a legitimate, cool, fun way to meet my own cuddling needs WITHOUT the nonsense of infidelity.
Everyone's situation is different, of course. I just wanted to share another OPINION on the topic... I will say, however, that hiding ANYTHING from my partner would make me feel like I was being "unfaithful." I don't have a heaven or a hell to put ANYONE in... Just wanted to share another perspective...
Not curious anymore
It was never a genuine question to begin with
Relationships rely on mutual trust and open communication. If trust is violated..maybe it's time to end the relationship so both parties are free to find what they are looking for.
@dennis22554 So true but people don’t have the courage to do the difficult stuff so they cheat.
Eventual the truth always rises to the service
Yes cuddling is cheating, and half of the pros are affair partners.
people don’t have the courage to do the difficult stuff so they cheat.
😁
@g_w_t_w
Also I believe if two people are truly connected...that when truth disappears. Partners can sense the subtile difference sin interactions
Open communication helps define cheating if not already known..it should be that simple
Cheating is defined by the members involved in a relationship..no one else has a vote
