Why is there such a disparity in price? (Price Mega Thread)

  • @Bella_Sera fair assessment. I hope you are right. That question is an excellent one and truly will root out an honest answer.

I think i am gathering my thoughts from what I've seen from many other site, apps, chat rooms or forums of the past. They all tend to end up a certain way. But i am a casual observer, i usually part ways when i see certain things happening. I have been on here for awhile, much longer than i have participated with other things before. That could say something itself. I need to be more optimistic.

I also think the profile pictures and profiles that are obvious will be dealt with in time. As long as users report them the moderators will get them. What i am concerned about is the messaging, codes that might not be apparent to those who aren't involved. I must say, there might be nothing to what I'm saying.

I've seen people ask questions in the forums that lead me to believe they are trying to find the terms that lead to what they want. I've been asked questions in messages long ago that let me know what they were looking for. I can't think of any examples right now but to use one that is mentioned a lot, Netflix and chill at one time meant just that but over time it turned into a hint to something more and now it's vernacular that points to one thing.

    I hope you're right.

Hi pros if the cost of living wasnt so high would you charge less for sessions or keep it the same. No disrespect either way and thank you for what you do.

Any service is a privilege and not a right… if cuddlers had a person to cuddle with consistently they wouldn’t be paying to cuddle. With that being said if it’s a luxury you can not afford do not partake but questioning the price of said service … especially one that involves personal contact and time sounds very entitled. You are not entitled to any professionals time and body because you feel the service is not worth the amount

No disrespect intended or entitlement. Im sorry I came off that way . I was just trying to put myself in their shoes. I just noticed people increasing their prices thats all .

@Rockyhehe Cost of living becomes expensive for everyone when a government prints up and hands out "free" money.

Someone rates aren't something for debate or question in my opinion.

But this professionals response is sad. So many ways to say this without attacking the OP. They never said it's not worth the money.

Everyone entitled to grace and respect regardless of resources.

And the answer to inflation is...

Get some (no it's never too late) or learn the hard way.

@Rockyhehe I am done trying to convince the non-believers. just dropping a friendly advice without getting into details
If Michael Saylor, Jeff Booth and Greg Foss can't convince you to buy Bitcoin I'm giving up, who am I after all.
the network itself got hacked a total of zero times since inception and with every passing day hacking it gets harder.

anyways im gonna grab popcorn and watch another pro-price debate.

But keep in mind . I am not after their body and just want someone with a kind personality if I am paying them . This pro failed miserably at my test . Like I am perfectly fine with someone mentioning their boundaries but I like people that are warm and don’t say “ Do not satisy your fetish with me “‘first sentence . Obviously they should show their boundaries but their opening line should be somthing nurturing then mention the boundaries . A good pro should stil remember the client is paying for a complete nurturing platonic experience . that pro gave me the opposite feeling when I saw her profile

My cuddle rate is my hourly rate during my day job as well. Apparently, it’s what an hour of my time is worth. Inflation notwithstanding. I do take people’s circumstances into account, because I really do care about the mental health of people. I am happy to be kind to repeat cuddlers. It’s important to note that I don’t cuddle as my main source of income, and I should not be used as any kind of example or comparison. People are worth every penny of what they ask for.

@Rockyhehe I'm not a cuddle professional. But, for whatever it's worth, i can tell you that inflation has been a driver on my professional service rates (income tax related work). The work I do hasn't changed, but my costs of doing business keep increasing with inflation. I completely understand when cuddle pros raise rates with increases in the cost of living/inflation.

And yes, @TxTom is right about money-printing being a big driver of inflation

Initial discussion from merged topic: 'INSANE PRICING’

I understand pros have to charge because they are pros. However, some pros change prices every other week, and charging $160 an hour and not hosting is ridiculous I think. I have also seen people change prices right when you are about to book during the convention. In my opinion thats a greedy move. There has to be some kind of a regulation on the pricing. For example you can charge 150 when you can host.

Or just don't book those pros. The market decides the price. If they want more people to book them, they will lower their price.

No, we don't need "regulation." Not at all.

Save your pennies for the $160, or find another Pro or an enthusiast.

While I empathize with the sentiment of your post (i.e. "I think this is too high a price), you're not going to get a pity party from most of the members on here.

Yes, $160 per hour is more than I can afford. It means that I contact pros who charge what I CAN afford.

  • No regulation needed, just don't book them. Don't be an enabler of their price.

  • I’d very much be in favor of regulation. Bring a little socialism in here. Prices have exploded. You can’t find a competent cuddler who will cuddle for under $100 anymore. Along with all these added fees too. Make cuddling a human right! ;)

  • @Midnight01 I’m a competent cuddler and don’t charge $100 per hour.
