@cuddlerforu24 Unfortunately, the "Stephen Stills" defense still doesn't work in Divorce Court.

"'Instinct is a lie, told by a fearful body, hoping to be wrong', it means when you base your expectations only on what you can see, you blind yourself to the possibility of a new reality." -- Zaheer
Hello, Cassandra! This isn't a quote from a famous philosopher or writer, but it reminds me of the one you shared by Neil Gaiman. It's on a magnet on my fridge and is attributed to an 11-year-old girl named Melissa Chen:
"Just remember nobody is normal. Everybody is weird."
My ex used to say that I was weird, but others would undoubtedly think SHE was weird. Why do we have to have rules about what's normal when it comes to ideas and fantasies and the stories we create?
I was discussing writing, with a colleague from the Middle East, and I said, "Is your language one of those that is written backwards ?" "No", he said. "Yours is".
People are posting quotes without attributing them to the person that made them. It's nice to know who made a particular quote. I think it adds to the meaning.
💯 theme of the day.
