😭😭😭😭
I love seeing people express themselves, tattoos, piercings, clothing, hair. It's just more of them to experience and it's a beautiful thing.
@Mela_B absolutely 💯 true!
@robroo 💜
@Mela_B I like your heart 🖤
For everyone here complaining about the OP being judgmental, you might want to stop and think about your own responses to him as well. The irony is certainty strong here lol.
As a boomer myself, I also step in sh*t occasionally. When I was a younger adult, I remember my seniors occasionally saying something offensive or tone deaf. Usually this was at an intergenerational family holiday gathering. Some people laughed, some people were offended, and some people were made to feel ridiculed. But, it was contained within the small group.
Sometimes it’s best to do an internet search, read an article, or watch a YouTube video on a subject, especially if it involves preconceived notions or judgements.
Here is just one example on the subject of “why do people get piercings”.
One thing that’s great about Cuddle Comfort is that we have an opportunity to spend time with people we don’t understand and would not otherwise have the opportunity to meet. I love spending several intimate platonic hours with someone from a different background, culture, orientation, or generation. It’s an opportunity to learn and see the world through their eyes.
@warm_embrace , I agree with you. I got to meet a wonderful lady from Rumania and she was a 2 time gold metal winner in the world Olympics. We had a great time talking about growing up as teenagers and how we both ended up in Florida. That is why when I do road trips with my RV I just love to meet people from different states, I always learn things about that area Also when I seen this heading of this post, I thought, wow what a can worms this guy opened, lol
@warm_embrace I'm with you. I respect those who can allow themselves to grow.
I'm more concerned with the proper sanitation required for a piercing.The person receiving the piercing or tattoo should have a reasonable expectation of a safe and happy experience.
I believe it is totally ok if someone does not like piercings and the thread has been interesting. It is a good topic for discussion and I wish it was presented in that frame rather than immediately starting a fire. I have no issue with piercings and have learned some things about why they are worn. Who would have guessed?
@Mman I think if it had been presented as a discussion topic. It wouldn't have gotten heated as much . The OP came across as a judgment. It may have seemed benign, but it is foolish for him to think it wouldn't cause a reaction. Playing it off as a goof who doesn't know any better only gets you so far
When I was younger I felt that way because I was raised to lovingly dislike anything I didn’t understand (sarcasm intended on the “lovingly”). However, I met a woman with piercings and ink and she was amazing. So, I had to dismantle my limited barriers realizing that if I didn’t… I’d be missing out on some pretty cool and usually deeper women. Plus, this thread wasn’t about ink, but the definition, colors and quality in ink today means I get to run my hands over some incredible canvases… these canvases have a heartbeat and usually some pretty radiant 4th chakras ✨🤍✨. That’s my 2-cuddle’s worth.
I honestly cannot think of any clients I have had that had facial piercings, certainly tattoos, it wouldn’t bother me either way if they did have piercings. Weirdly enough I don’t really notice facial piercings. My cousin has a stud in her nose and it took me years to notice it. Sometimes I think about dying my hair a fun color like I did back in high school but am afraid of losing potential clients because I have had a number of clients tell me how they don’t like (tattoos, piercings, and alternative hair colors, etc) so I feel like I have to maintain a more conventional appearance to maximize my business opportunities.
I was at a bar, and this guy bumped into me, and he did not apologize, and he said, "Move!" I thought that was rude, so I said, "Go to hell!" Then I started to run. He caught up to me. He had a mustache, a goatee, a pair of earrings, sunglasses, a ponytail and he was wearing a hat. He said, "Hey, you got a lot of nerve!" I said, "Hey, you got a lot of... cranium accessories!"

@liamsnuggles I actually like piercings so I’m okay with it. I do prefer my pros not wear perfume or a whole lot of makeup and I can politely ask them not to. I wouldn’t ask a pro to not wear a piercing however. I do have piercings and I don’t like to remove them.
Weird statement... I don't get how you think that you should be automatically worried about proper sanitation for piercings
I know a lot of guys who don't wash their hands and clean themselves
But I don't go around saying oh I think men don't sanitize themselves
I already get called dirty because my skin color so what's next
More than one of you thought that @liamsnuggles was let’s say insensitive in the way that he expressed himself. Everyone has a right to say what they want to say here so long as it’s within the guidelines of the forum. Everyone also has a right to react how they want to as well. I don’t think that @liamsnuggles intended to offend anyone and of course that’s just my opinion. It’s also my opinion that several of you expressed your opinion to his post with the same type of insensitivity that you portrayed him as having. It’s unfortunate that it has to be this way in a site thats dedicated to something like cuddling.
We're all autonomous beings free to express ourselves through our appearance as we wish. Try not to take it personally, cause it's not.
I rather cuddle with an honest person with facial piercings than a person who is “ in a relationship “ and comes on this site judging others for having facial piercings. At least the person with facial piercings is being true to themselves and others .
@liamsnuggles I agree with you, normies are weird creatures. I don't know about you but I still use floppy disks and VHS on a regular basis. Some children just never grow up... or feel so alienated from their peers that they turn to the pop culture 1980's and anime for escapism.
@Matt462 >I just don’t understand why people start these threads based on what they don’t like about other people As long as it's just threads, it's when people who claim to have the authority to know what's best for other people and impose their often uninformed choices on them we should all start to worry...
I don't have any piercings or tattoos myself (due to a fear of needles and not being creative enough to think of a good enough idea for one that I'd be happy with), however I will say I do like piercings and tattoos on others a lot. Seems like artwork and a way to express yourself. However I can just as much appreciate a person without any as well, I just usually like to ask the story behind each piercing or tattoo as I find it interesting and helps me to appreciate each one more.
By the way @Mela_B your piercings and tattoos are awesome. Still hoping to be in your area someday to meet you, since you seem like such a warm and kind person.
@CSnMUS87 thanks, I appreciate that. I would love to meet you! 😊
@Mela_B I agree, you’re piercings are amazing.
@Morpheus thanks!
I think facial piercings are common in older tribal societies but thanks to colonialism- it’s been bred out of society.
I love my nose piercing.
I’ve had people judge me for it.
I mean, if it’s not for you - just don’t meet with that person? Is that a stray jump?
OP posted his opinion about something. Then a bunch of you posted your opinions about him. And then a few more shared their opinions about the topic. Then a whole lot of you acted self righteous and a bit rude and ganged up on the OP, which happens here quite frequently. The “Old-Timers” clique. In the end, it’s just your opinions, like everything else on the Forum. No one is actually required by law to like or dislike piercings, tattoos or certain hairstyles even. But it does provide interesting reading here.
@carrieanne yes, but... this is a form of bigotry.
