@stormydaycuddle from my point of view, if you did bait someone And I'm not saying you did Bur if you did You were trying to get the bugs out from where they are hiding so they can be removed.
Not trolling Exterminating lol
You can't have debating without "baiting" I say. You might say I'm a master at baiting
I am not a fan of the current "men's movement." It's a reactionary response to modern feminism , aka - "equality." Rather than adapting to a changing landscape, it encourages modern men to demand the times of old when women would "do and listen. as they're told" ...like when women couldn't vote, work, or get an education.
The men and women enthusiasts have different problems : some men are positioning women to have "all the privilege and advantages" when the problems are just different. Women are trying to cuddle without getting harassed and men are trying to connect with fewer women to fulfill their touch quota or build emotional connections/friendships.
They have both it hard in some way, but there is no reason think that one side owns all the problems. No one likes to be harassed and no one likes to be rejected. But rejection is a part of life and it's not a permanent condition - it can change if you change your approach. The root of the issue is how it affects a person's self esteem, and that's beyond the scope of CC. Harassment is an issue that comes from without and cannot be controlled by the recipient.
Being rejected is not a societal or a social issue, or at least not initially. But when groups of men become angry and disgruntled, then these movements have led to online harassment and even terrorism due these men's movements and the "red pill" theory.
I think it's better to look towards Jesus, the Buddha, or Confucius as a proper male role model or even Michael Jordan, or Jay-Z, then some internet personality on YouTube w exfoliated skin and a white suit that talks about masculinity and that hates on women . It's like an initiation into a gang: the gang provides comfort, security, and illegal/dangerous activity and the person initiated provides loyalty and helps protect their turf. It can be a symbiotic relationship.
Since people like the person OP was chatting with are driving away women, can we boot or ban those people for doing so?
@Minestrone101 The "men's movement" is what you said it is. Just a way for them 'not to lose power'.
Growing up I didnt have a 'male role model'.
What I did learn was that you should treat everyone how you would want to be treated.
I never understood how someone could look at someone else and think "I'm above that person because..." and then insert gender, ethnicity, religious background, political party etc etc.
@DancerJohn - Other than a pro cold messaging somebody, I don't think a rule was broken. She could easily block the person.
@Jova114 Agree man. Agree. Spiritual values should hold in all circumstances.
I'm happy to just be a relatively harmless pooping asshole the way Jesus and Satan intended
Just for the record, pros are not supposed to be sending messages first unless someone views their profile. If they send a message after they are viewed and don’t get a response, they should not be following up unhappy that they didn’t get a response. That is not a good look for them or the site. I issued a warning as did another mod at my request. It’s a real shame she deleted her account as a result of this, though I understand and sympathize with her frustration. There are a lot of opinions here on responding to messages in general, but in this case it appears the rules were broken and her frustration was warranted.
Edit: @Mike403 this is not a response to the comment you just posted. I hadn’t seen that when I was typing this out 😅
Thanks! @Rachel_P and OMG you made me snort with this!!
The best way I can think of to describe it is that they are cockblocking themselves…the platonic, over-the-clothes, Cuddle Comfort version of cockblocking. Cuddleblocking, perhaps? That’s extremely fitting. Apparently some people don’t even need another individual to cuddleblock for them: they are so adept at self-sabotage that they ruin any paid or private closeness from another human on their own.
Cuddleblocking is my new favorite term!! 😂😂
@sunnysideup My impression from the exchange (I took a screenshot to make sure I could go back and see) is that this wasn't the first negative experience she had on here. And she mentioned in her post that she was hopeful that this site would be a better experience than dating sites....but then was so "icked" out that she just couldn't anymore. TBH, I don't blame her.
I peaced out after my first 2 months on here, and was only able to come back after taking some time to figure some things out. I don't need to be here after all. I just know that this is something that is intensely therapeutic and healing to us human beings. I am actively pursuing schooling and a career in order to help people learn healthy ways to interact with each other and healthy ways to live their lives. We aren't born with this knowledge....we all need to have enough self awareness to seek after this knowledge 💓💓
And @pmvines don't act so innocent in all this....you didn't respond to my message for like, 6 weeks! That's waaaaay worse than 12 hours and I feel intensely rejected by that. You have ruined my self esteem forever and I will never message another man again! 😭😭😭 😜😜😜
How dare you @pmvines keep @RedFox16 waiting like that?? Tsk tsk
@RedFox16 Ah, if she was wondering if this place had any less creeps than online dating, I could have told her her probably a bit less but it still suffers from many of the same issues that other online social apps have.
But the kind of people she is looking for are on this site - she just had to be patient and do a lot of filtering, so it’s a shame to see her go. But it’s understandable if her “ick” meter had reached it max and she wanted out (I can imgune losing patience with various other things in my life that don’t seem to work out). Understandable that you also took a break after two months
There isn’t anything I can do right now about the the enthusiasts that leave because they are creeped out, other than I hope they stay because there are some good cuddlers on here and also that the mods are pretty good at banning bad actors, but if only they information is revealed to them
I don't expect (but do hope) for responses to messages, especially since I sometimes can reply same day, days later, weeks later, or pick up a conversation months later after not having said anything for a while. Sometimes I get busy and forget, so it could happen to anyone.
@pmvines by the amount of poo related memes I have received I think your biggest fear in life is constipation.
The 4 day old pizza and slurpie with mixed flavors offer is no more. It’s now a nice garden salad.
I agree @sunnysideup
The Mods do a good job taking out the trash and it's also up to the community to try and point out said trash when they come across it.
As a whole, this community is very kind and good natured. I have meet more good people on here than bad. But it does take some patience as you said.
@CSnMUS87 I’m going to take what I said down based on the fact that I’m unsure how it will be taken. So edited.
@Jova114 Thanks. It sounds like some of the gals on here have more bad than good ones, sadly
@sunnysideup And that just breaks my heart.
I don't condone any of that behavior but I expect that more on actual dating sites Not here.
I don't want any of that shit in my cuddle community!
@sunnysideup wait are you saying that if I leave pizza and slurpees alone long enough they become salad?!
@CharlieBear - It makes me wonder if she deleted because the first response was citing one of the forum rules which came from me.
@Mike403 That I’m not sure, but you citing that rule is good in my opinion. Maybe they would feel compelled to reupload a screenshot with the profile pic and any names removed. Not in this case though it seems. She had reported him and in her message it seemed she was done, so I don’t think your comment was a contributing factor.
There was one who said that some guy got mad at her for not responding to a message right away in the middle of night when she was asleep. I don't understand people.
@stormydaycuddle Aww now I'll be left to wonder. I always appreciate your posts.
__Hear ye hear ye for those of whose lives I've ruined, offended, and made to rescind their offers of tasty gas station treats . Im here, and I'm a blessing. Deal with it
@natickben lol I think @stormydaycuddle made that claim, but I guess it’s possible that the pizza turns into fertilizer by insects and bacteria and such, and part of that fertilizer provides nutrients to certain salad ingredients? Plants are mostly made up of converted air and light through right?
@pmvines 😂 it’s for your health! To keep things consistent. 😂😂 I cannot in good conscience feed you gas station food now. It must be salad.
@natickben if that was meant for me I’m looking out for PMs health as I’m worried with his snacking preferences he cannot be trusted.
@sunnysideup that got deep fast. 😂😂
@stormydaycuddle only roots deep
I don't really get the rejection conversation though. Not replying within an arbitrary timeframe isn't rejection .
@pmvines Lol! I have been blocked numerous times by Dudes who expected me to "RESPOND BACK ASAP". Lol!😆😆😆
I just laugh and say...
"Yay, the trash took itself out! Love it!"😍
@RedFox16 And @pmvines don't act so innocent in all this....you didn't respond to my message for like, 6 weeks!
Lol! 😆He's pulled a few partial "Houdinis" on me as well, I just figured he's somewhere pooping out a masterpiece to share to the world.😆 And I'll hear back from him as soon as he's done.😜🤪😝
@Katota Yeah, I wish that the OP had the same attitude as you with regard to creeps/ “the trash took itself out” but I guess it takes a certain level of jadedness and/or expectation to get there?
