I'm still a novice and the site when I signed on said that the average rate was 80 per hour. I decided that since I'm not an expert yet. I'd charge a.little less at $60 an hour and as I gained expierance.eventually id.come.up to.the :average" rate. Seems fair?
@MissLisaMarie "Average" can vary a lot depending on the location. In the Seattle area where I am, the average is more like $100-$120. (But that's also about how much it costs in this area to go to a mid-tier restaurant with a family of 4.)
Wow seems like the professional cuddlers in California are charging through the roof .
Professional cuddlers can charge whatever they want but they do end up out of some clients price range and possibly have less clients booking them. 🤷♀️
In case you didn't know, there is the option under search to set a max price. So if you are looking for a pro cuddler under a certain amount, it can filter that for you.
Good luck and happy cuddling. 🫂
Most pros asking for $200 and up are likely prostitutes.
No. There is no correlation between price and sex work.
Cost of living is higher in California. Everything is higher there.
I lowered my rate to 60.00 to maybe help some out that couldn’t do the $100 per hour that is my usual rate. First person to book agreed to a hosting fee to help cover the room, I made reservation, they sent a cancellation for the session. Learned my lesson. My price is back to 100.00. Not doing that again,
@Hollydollhugs I’m so sorry this happened to you. So many creeps with no empathy or caring & are just very selfish It didn’t even occur to him to care about what it cost you. It’s very discouraging.
The three things that determine hourly price:
1) Economic health of local economy (high or low unemployment). 2) Cost of living. 3) The value a Pro places on her time.
There's someone who charges Rs 7000/hr.
That's 7k rupees though. 🤪
Hi I charge $200 but I am negotiable. I value my time and I deem it appropriate considering that if I need to host the session I need to get a hotel room since my landlord is completely convinced that I am in fact a prostitute and can't do it here, further more I have to pay the website it's fee and prepare for 1099 and also pay for my own healthcare. Not to mention the potential risk that is inherently there as a female in this business. I can hope that everyone is awesome and not planning on doing bad things but I have been robbed, raped and beaten doing this. You never know what someone is thinking. I think it's a completely appropriate fee to charge. To the person that said those that charge that rate must be prostitutes...how do you know how much they charge?
@cookieluv48 It's your prerogative to charge what you feel it's worth to you . The people who say you are more than likely a prostitute for it are more than likely hoping it shames people into lowering their rates . Don't listen to that . It's up to you , not them .
Cuddling is not a commodity with a fixed price; it is an incomparable service, with so many nuanced aspects, it would be impossible to list. @TxTom listed 3 factors determining price......not disagreeing that those are important elements, but possibly just 3 of over 2,000, just like the flavonoids in wine. My brother is a wine expert and constantly talks about the various notes of particular wine varietals, depending so much on soil, vintage, and a host of other factors.
So, when someone asks "How much is a bottle of wine?", they are posing a question that is literally impossible to answer. They may look at a sticker price of $150, and right next to it, is one for $7. Is the $150 bottle really that much better? Well, for the connoisseur that can taste all the unique flavonoids, it may certainly be.....perhaps even a bargain at that price.
I've paid $200 for a cuddle that felt like I got a huge discount, while I've cuddled for $100 and it felt like I grossly overpaid.
It's a complex subject that deserves conversation that is slow, attentive, respectful.....and not reactive or judgmental, kind of like cuddling itself
@Hollydollhugs Any out of pocket costs for you, I would suggest getting from them first, at any rate. This way you don’t ever lose money.
A new pro popped up in LA yesterday. I promise you there is no one on this site that’s paying $500 an hour for platonic cuddling.
@Morpheus Agreed. I don't care what the cost of living is in L.A. - chicks like that are either clinically delusional or peddling something else, entirely. 😅

There's another side to this issue. My rate is a reasonable $90/hr. Competitive in my area. I've recently had a couple potential clients ask me for a discount, to pay $60-70 per hour. One problem was, they went far into the booking process before asking. Another, I honestly looked up karma reviews and saw that most pros one haggling enthusiast had cuddled with were in the range of $120/hr and UP. My karma and rep are solid as a cuddler and I'm involved legitimately in the CC community. So yeah, I felt belittled and the session did not occur. I had made other accommodations like getting up very early and accepting a last minute request. That was the thanks I got. Oh well, worse things happen. Maybe I dodged a creeper.
First person to book agreed to a hosting fee to help cover the room, I made reservation, they sent a cancellation for the session. Learned my lesson. My price is back to 100.00. Not doing that again,
It's best to use Day room services like Dayuse or hotelsbyday if you're going to book a room for cuddling, because you can book a room for a few hours, the price is cheaper, and the payment is usually collected at check-in. There's also free cancellation up until the last minute, too. I'm sorry about your bad experience. $60 is a very reasonable rate, and I commend you for considering lowering it to that.
The three most common prices a pro charges for an hour of cuddling on this site currently is $100, $120, and $150, so I'm tired of this false "$80 average" that this site claims. It's simply not true. Fun fact: As recently as 2019, charging $100 for an hour of cuddling was considered to be "too much" and "pretty ridiculous." But today? $100 is on the lower end of hourly rates. Rates have increased significantly faster than inflation.
As for the discussion on the previous page, agree with sg89, if the price is too high, don't give them your business; don't be an enabler for unreasonable rates. Even then, there are many on this site who are willing to throw down two-hundred bucks for an hour of cuddling. As for me, my budget is $120 for an hour.
If I went to work one day and was asked to take a pay cut for doing the same work I do every other day, I'd probably have a real crappy attitude.
@TxTom - Contract work is a little different than a W2 position. Pay isn't guaranteed.
Something else to consider.......though prices are being advertised as $200, or more, it doesn't mean that they are actually having much success in booking. One pro I know who charges $200 told me a few days ago that she hasn't had a cuddle in over three weeks, and very few inquiries. She has other revenue streams, and just doesn't want to cuddle for less, whether she gets appointments or not.
@Morpheus Some millionaires are extremely eccentric and have problems maintaining relationships. I'll bet their are plenty of millionaires (and up) who would pay $500 or more without giving it a second thought.
Cost of living doesn’t justify crazy rates, yes the Bay Area where I live is very expensive but most people here are not making even $40 an hour.
Expecting others to behave the way we personally want them to is a waste of energy. All this complaining about something that really isn’t up to you is just not healthy. There is a great thread here about accepting what you cannot change in others (but you can try to change yourself).
Folks, it really is this simple:
There are as many reasons for setting prices as there are people. You cannot know why without talking to them.
If you don't like their price, don't book with them.
If you have reason to believe they are breaking TOS, report them.
If you dislike how high prices in the industry are in general, help advocate for organizations to standarize rates and/or start your own grassroots organization.
If you are just wanting to vent about cost of living in general, there's groups elsewhere for that.
If you don't think cuddling should be a paid service, there's groups elsewhere for that as well.
If you're wanting to vent, by all means do so - but it helps to pick your audience a bit more wisely.
The standard price for professional cuddling started at around $80 an hour. This was established by the snuggle buddies and also became the norm here on CC. Prices now vary with the average being somewhere between $100-$120 an hour, sometimes up to $150 an hour depending where you’re at.
I have been vocal in regard to prices especially pros who charge $200 and up and have said CC should investigate these pros. It is of my opinion and the opinion of multiple clients that I’ve spoken to that no one is going to pay $200 an hour or more for purely platonic cuddling.
My opinion has not been a popular one and I’ve been greeted with comments such as, this is a free market and they can charge what they want to charge. I have been a member and have enjoyed platonic professional cuddles for the last nine years. I am vocal about this issue because I want to protect professional cuddling and keep it for what it’s meant for. The site has been infiltrated by sex workers which is well known to cuddlecomfort leadership who thankfully have taken steps to correct this.
I have conducted a study and I’m curious of everyone’s opinion. I have kept track of pros who charge $200 an hour or more and came up with the following results.
74 pros charging $200 or more 28 (37.8%) of them were banned 4 are currently temporarily paused 3 removed all pics from their profile 5 deactivated 19 have zero karma Leaving 15 (20.2%) who appear active out of 74
I expect to receive several “passionate” comments regarding my statements above but I am also curious as to your opinions. Why don’t think such a high percentage of these pros were banned? Why don’t think it appears such a small percentage are active? Do you think there is actually a market for pros charging $200 and up for purely platonic cuddling?
How does that compare to 74 pros who charge in the $80-120 range?
Hi there! Interesting study! I enjoy seeing your insightful posts. I’m a pro and my rate is $120 an hour which is higher than the average $80. Living in Los Angeles which is extremely expensive and income averages are also higher, I thought $120 is fair. I have a bachelors degree in business, I think I’m fairly attractive, I have great communication skills when needed during a session and I’m pretty knowledgeable or aware of a broad range of topics.
Outside of the platonic cuddling, I think a big part of the cuddling is the companionship and great conversations which I am able provide. I’ve been told by clients that this enhances the cuddle experience. So I think my rate is fair. However, your study shows me that the low active rate among the 74 means that there was probably something fishy going on. They most likely started at a high rate to test the waters if there will be men who ask for more due to the high rate and if this is what they’re actually looking for client wise, then they’ll probably try to do other “negotiations” offline.
But I will have to agree with you, even with all of that I can never justify charging $200 and up for platonic cuddling.
Yes there is a market. It's supply and demand.
Even in a platonic scenario it's preferable for many to cuddle with a beautiful young women. Those same beautiful young women receive a barrage of requests even at the $200 price. They would be devaluing themselves if they dropped to $80 when people are willing to pay more. I've had one cuddle with a VERY beautiful women, who, in her profile was adamant that it was strictly platonic. Price was significantly higher than most cuddlers. Before the session we had a phone call and I assured her that I was not looking for anything additional and I would respect her boundaries. Had a fantastic cuddle session and she thanked me for being so respectful.
Generally when it comes to someone using a "front" for sexual services the "get in" price is lower, to entice people to book and then comes the upcharge, extra $ for this, extra $ for that. I would say that someone with a $200 hourly rate is less likely to be offering "extras".
A common reason pros get banned is that they do shady stuff like give contact into without officially booking, which screws the site out of its cut. Some just won't do the booking, others will do the booking and cancel it to avoid paying cc their fee. Others do a milder form of cheating where they will just reduce the # of hours a session is to minimize the amount of $ they give to the site.
