To be fair, About a hosting fee, if you had to rent a hotel room for a cuddle it would cost you 1-200 dollars, so 50 added to the cuddle is still a savings. I mean if a person doesn’t want to pay for a hotel or hosting fee, they can just host at their apartment unless one of the following reasons of which I can understand. 1. You live with your wife. Akward. 2. You live with your girlfriend or your girlfriend has keys to your place. Akward. 3. You live with your parents. Akward. 4. You have roommates and they are nosey. Not Akward. 5. You don’t want the cuddler to know where you live. All valid reasons.
I’ve seen that before and I agree, it’s pretty lame.
Well it's not hosting. Here's the thing. You can skip those
@weluvcuddles, you have valid concerns however, I think one could argue that as long as the pro mentions the hosting conditions in the profile, it shouldn’t be considered misleading. Just my opinion. 🤷♂️
It doesn’t really bother me since I host most of the time.
As pro with kids and pets, I don't host at my house ever. I have met some pretty awesome people through CC, but I've also met people that I'm relieved they have no idea where I live.
Pros can host from short-term rentals or their own homes and still charge a hosting fee. Hosting simply means the pro is taking on the effort of arranging the location and setting — rather than meeting in public or at a place of your choosing. You're paying for that convenience instead of booking your own space or hosting yourself.
Whether and how a pro charges for hosting is entirely their discretion, and clients can opt out if a pro's policies don't meet their needs. Yes, the limited search parameters can make this frustrating to navigate — but that's all the more reason for clients to vet their pros thoroughly, just as pros vet clients. Vetting isn't only about safety; it's about alignment of needs and general compatibility. A pro whose policies don't work for you isn't wrong (unless they're actually breaking the rules) — they're just not the right pro for you. It's a lot easier to move on than to spend energy complaining about it.
@ChestnutBunny omg! I couldn't have worded that better myself. If I ever get a weird gut feeling, I won't host. If I have chatted with someone, picked up a good vibe, then I"ll think about it. Still had some creepy stories 🤦😅
My pet Peeve is when people who have no idea who you are and you they… thinking they should have access to your personal space where you live, possibly with children etc. If it bothers you why don’t you host at your home? Why do some enthusiast NEED to be at your home. It’s so invasive.
Speaking of hosting, I learned a lesson very early on about hosting. Don’t leave any medication in the bathroom that your guest would be using. I had a Pro go thru my medicine cabinet and took just about all the pain bills that was left over from where I had a broken leg. I didn’t even notice they were missing for about a week, I had no real proof so I didn’t report it but did notice there profile was deleted. The hotel thing is ok with me, I have met for cuddles before and it was fine.
@RainbowCuddlz i agree with what you said.
I never really liked having to go to a pro for cuddling because I didn’t wanna have to pay. Then after a really hard time I had I looked for a pro to deal with the grief I was dealing with. My house was cluttered and I was ashamed of bringing somebody there. So I found somebody I could afford and booked a hotel room close to them because they didn’t have a vehicle. Since I was hiring the service, I didn’t feel that they needed to have a hosting place.
The second time after that, I didn’t wanna have to pay a hotel fee so I cleaned up and kept my room clean as well as buying extra set of sheets so I had a fresh set if I was hosting for a Cuddle. Even if the sheets were clean the day before I always put new sheets on for cuddling.
I’ve talked to different pros over the last couple years and they’ve had to buy extra sheet sets as well and somewhat wanna make sure that they have a beverage on hand which I always did as well. And I believe that was very considerate but never expected anything like that from the person I was hiring.
It’s my belief that if you don’t wanna pay a hosting fee or split the cost of a room, then host at your house. If you can’t host it where you live that’s no reason to get exasperated at people that don’t wanna pay the extra money because you cannot host.
Same as any service fee if you call for a trades person. You’re paying for the truck that comes out and you’re paying for the tools that had to be invested in as well as the supplies. This is no different. It’s a standard way of doing business. If it’s an individual small business owner, people tend to haggle and complain and argue with them over the price more. Yet they’ll think nothing of going to a big box store or online and painful price because it’s not available to haggle. There are the few exceptions, but they’re rare.
If you want a cuddle professional then host. If you cannot, don’t expect them to shell out of pocket for your wants & desires.
Added. There are professionals here and in other situations that treat people like a ATM machines. That’s a whole different story and it’s not always easy to tell when somebody is like that.
@Kempist brought a very positive way of looking at the situation talked about in this thread.

@bear I don't host and no longer want to do public cuddles so I only reach out to those who host. Not all who host have hosting fees, whether they host at home or hotel.
Typically if a Pro is getting a hotel room, that is considered hosting because they are providing the space. They may ask to split the cost or even have you cover it, especially if they've dealt with a lot of flakes and no-shows or people who dangle a booking like a carrot and then never actually book. (Pet Peeve) I don't allow ANYONE into my space, I don't want y'all knowing where I live. 🤷♀️
@Kempist Then what I said doesn’t really apply to you, which is good. I was mainly speaking in regards to people who have entitled views.
It sounds like you have a very good outlook on the situation and don’t have unreasonable expectations.
Haha just @ me next time! This user blocked me for what he’s complaining about, this play is about me.
I have hosting in my profile because I regularly book rooms for extended sessions.
He got angry because he chose not to use his eyes to read my profile, and then threw a tantrum when I pointed out that it’s at the very top of my profile surrounded by emojis.
I didn’t want to throw down $200 for a room to host a one hour session with him last minute. I don’t regret my actions whatsoever. In fact I would double down and do it again
Anyway, if someone wants me to host them in a hotel with advanced notice, especially for a lengthier session, I’m down to coordinate! Have a nice week guys
@CarrieCo your profile is very detailed with clear expectations... I think OP is just a boundary pusher or entitled. Happy Cuddles!
@Bear I’m so glad you were able to find what you needed through your grief. I’ve been in the same situation ❣️ you know what would be fun?
Hosting at a beach. Towels set up with umbrellas and snacks. I think I just made summer plans
@RainbowCuddlz thank you for using your eyes to read, such a lost art these days. I even screenshotted the top section and added it to my pics to try to further help those with reading issues. A girl is TRYING but yall have to meet me halfway lol
.
I agree with what @Beffi_38 said, hosting in a hotel is hosting. I’ve come across pros listed like that as well. I just skip if I can’t afford. They’re pretty much comes down to what you’re willing to pay in regards to what you want.
I would totally spend more money on somebody else who needed cuddling because of grief or such. When it comes to myself, I am too cheap at times, lol.
@CarrieCo would be out of my price range. Yet I loved reading her profile. It’s all laid out very clearly. Hats off to to her. No questions needed if I was to hire her.
It strikes me as odd and frustrating that many other service providers are expected to provide itemized pricing, but if professional cuddlers do it is considered being greedy 🤦🏻♀️ and if they instead raise their base rate to include those extra costs, now they're guilty of having too high of rates and being SWers 🙄
If you hire a plumber, they will provide you an estimate and an itemized invoice of all charges. If you hire a massage therapist, they'll list their base hourly rates separately from their add-on services and any general fees like for cleaning, travel, etc. If you hire a pro cuddler on CC, they'll likely either a) list their extra fees in their profile description, or b) put their hourly rate high enough to cover all those extra costs.
The problem here is that professional cuddlers are both treated as professionals and not - they're expected to act professionally and to maintain professional level of services, but then they are also expected to do so without taking in to account overhead and profit margins. A $120 hourly rate does not equate profiting $120/hr.
@weluvcuddles the problem that you're actually running into is that you use a more narrow definition of "hosting" than the site or most of the cuddle community. That doesn't make you wrong, but it is something to be aware of and to accommodate.
If it is something important to you, the onus of communicating & negotiating falls on you. It is ultimately up to each of us to meet our own needs and maintain our own boundaries - not on everyone else to read our minds and magically know our needs without communication.
I think the OP is trying to say that he’s not necessarily complaining about the pro hosting in a hotel, he’s talking about pros who do this and then add on an additional fee to host at a hotel. Of course that’s a pros prerogative and there’s nothing wrong with it, it’s also a clients prerogative to accept the additional fee or not. I am totally fine booking a pro who is hosting at a hotel and have done it before but if she expects me to cover the cost of the room and pay her full fee, I don’t see that as a wise decision economically. If she’s adding on a small amount, or adding some free time, I would probably be okay with it but not the full cost.
@Morpheus yes exactly! I'm fine with a hosting fee or if I'm interested enough chipping in. However I prefer for discretion sake hosting duties to be taken care of therefore I intentionally search for people who can host. But a typical search has many people (not just CarrieCo) who have host in profile then say client needs to book a room and other things like travel to them or pay their way. Seems like a shady way to get more search hits.
I thought it was fine on here to message people who view your page?
@weluvcuddles or perhaps at one time the pro did host, but has since changed their policy and forgot to change that part of their profile. It's easy to miss when you're primarily focused on keeping the longer description text up to date. 🤷🏻♀️ Or perhaps the pro does host for some clients - just not new ones. I know plenty who will host for well established return clients where safety is less of an issue.
And just FYI so this doesn't get you into trouble in the future - tagging someone you've blocked, or otherwise engaging with them in the forums, can be seen as circumventing the block even if you blocked first. We're encouraged to not engage with people we've blocked, and if we know we are blocked by someone we are not allowed to engage at all. Tagging them in the forums is passive aggressive and petty, since now they cannot respond to you without getting into trouble themselves. One of the many reasons I wish blocks were universal and not just for profiles & DMs.
If someone is paying for a pro and not hosting, they are paying for the cuddling, not the location. That's a small business cost that should be absorbed by the provider.
@weluvcuddles Pros are allowed to message you if you visited their profile First.. We are allowed to charge a hosting fee…
