Do looks matter?

@Krisha cringe? standard practice when i cuddle. closing eyes for periods at times but looking into each others eyes is pretty normal, far from "cringe" as you put it.

@SunsetSnuggles abnormal to comment on pictures. they are usually what gets someone to make the first move to send the message in the first place. sometimes content of profile (for the rare profiles that have content that isn't fairly bland/informative (about their policies for cuddling/booking, not about themselves personally) or cliche).

  • @wilderdude What gets me to send a message is most often how people treat others here on the board, or their proximity to me when traveling. No picture, no problem. I do like an About Me section filled out though...can be hard to draw someone into a meaningful conversation with nothing to go off of.

  • majority of people on this site do not peruse the boards at all.

  • Yep, 'tis a shame. I'll never know how they miss it. It's on the home page, but I've read numerous people say they took months or longer to realize it. 🤔

  • Hygeine is number one for me. Looks is unimportant.....or shall I say it should be. We still live in this world though, and some people here and there can be shallow. I have met up with a few potential cuddle buddies in the past few weeks to vet them first, and a few of the male cuddlers shared with me about past bad experiences where the female they cuddled with was not attractive in person, and they hated the cuddle session. That was kinda off putting to me that they couldnt "get past" that.......
On the other hand its kind of an assumption that when you snap a photo of yourself and put it on this site, it should look like you, cuz it is you. LOL

  • Absolutely not. I do not care what a person looks like or their ethnicity, body shape, size or religious beliefs. The ONLY thing I care about is good hygiene and my safety. The only reason I require a photo is so I know who I'm talking to and for my personal safety.

  • @wilderdude The way you put it at first was different and cringe, wording matters. Also "most people" is subjective.

We can conclude that to an indeterminate number of people visuals matter.

  • @Krisha idk how it's "cringe", idk if "most people" is subjective as the data backs what I say, on who has the higher rates and more bookings.

  • I would like to say looks don't matter, but there's this one guy I know who always seems to be gross. I avoid him at cuddle parties.

  • @wilderdude OK, please share the data then.

Just my observation but it seems like the prettier are harder to reach, almpst always busy and get more feedback. Ill admit my very attractive regular is almost impossible to reach because shes always hit with hundreds of messages. Again just observation

  • @Krisha look at the rates, number of karma of better looking pros vs not as good looking pros. Try reaching out to a better looking pro and try reaching out to a not so good looking pro.

Tell me what your findings are.

I can see why you are skeptical, you're just not on this side of things. Unless you are a client looking to book a female pro it's not going to be evident to you.

  • Just wanted to point out that "good looking" or not is subjective.

  • @JessAZ

Extremely off putting. That is a wild (and socially tone deaf) thing to say to someone you are hoping to be friends with. It’s like going on a date and bad-mouthing your ex?

  • On a certain evolutionary level, probably...but looks aren't everything. Personality also goes a long way.

  • @SpicyNSweet yes it's subjective but there is a societal baseline for what is considered good looking in every society.

@VAdude no they aren't everything but are usually what first gets the interest, especially when first interaction is not in person.

  • @TichantoP cuddler probably didn't word things in that manner more likely it's about "catfishing", using edited pics or pics that are very old and no longer representive of the cuddler. I've had a lot of cuddlers tell me that guys will be glad her pics were accurate because they have been catfished so much.

Never have had that myself, maybe lucky or the practice just isn't prevelant in areas I cuddle.

  • No offense but why are the pros responding?? They're here to get paid, I don't think looks is on their priority list

  • @James2341 yeah pros tell me their priorities in order of importance are

    1. Safety
    2. Hygiene and
    3. Reliability/not being a flake
  • Many of my clients express anxiety about their appearance and don't want to send me their picture. It makes me really sad because appearance has nothing to do with why I'm on this site. I highly value and prefer clients who are honest, communicate well, smell "clean," and don't behave in creepy ways.

  • Definitely prefer eye contact when cuddling. That's probably one of the most intimate things you can do with someone, and such a shame to me that so many people stray away from connecting deeply like that these days when we really need connection the most.

I am a pro, but speaking as a sanguine, looks don't matter to me when I want to cuddle. How they respect my boundaries, how gentle and sweet they are, whether or not I feel safe in their arms, feeling a genuine connection, that matters way more to me than looks.

I think it's a stereotype to say that women prioritize looks. We generally prioritize a lot more than that, like feeling safe. But I have noticed that even on some polls here - men have admitted that the majority prioritize looks. 😇

  • Absolutely NOT

  • @AngelNextDoor idk, I've never heard the stereotype that women prioritize looks, whether cuddling or dating in general. Most women I've been around the key is to treat them well, make them feel comfortable and make them laugh.

    Exactly 🥰 @wilderdude 💜💜

  • I don’t have a preference. As long as they look close to their picture so I am not shocked when I see them in person. I’ve reached out to people with no profile picture and such.

  • My only things are body odor, strong fragrances, and cigarettes. All those are a no-no.

  • Looks matter to most people, upon meeting initially. I prefer to connect without photos, chat and get the essence if an individual before getting a visual. Hygiene and safety are number one and two on my list leading into close quarters. I have my eyes closed during mostt of the cuddle anyway, call me Ray Charles .

  • I think it definitely does! As much as we all want to say we don’t judge people’s looks, they do matter. That’s why cuddlers choose certain cuddlers because they base it off the way they look. Am I wrong ?

  • Looks dont matter for the pro because the pro is getting paid to do this. Looks do matter for the person paying because they are the paying customer.
