I'm a recent transplant to Minneapolis and am really enjoying the city so far! I recently started a job working as a data scientist, which means that I do programming and statistical analyses. My company focuses on solving healthcare issues (they've done a lot of research on diabetes treatments recently), and I'm excited to be working for a company where I can go interesting work that can help improve people's lives!

On the side, I'm playing piano, writing music, and getting my compositions performed at local concerts (check out my music at https://SoundCloud.com/emily-boyajian if you're interested!). I'm also working on a clarinet quartet and piano trio, and I'm hoping to get involved in a few music ensembles this fall! So you can think of me as both the passionate artist with a day job and the nerdy tech worker :)

When I’m not working, playing the piano, or writing music, there are a lot of other things I enjoy. I like having long, rambling conversations with friends about politics, philosophy, history, and whatever else sounds interesting. I really like hiking, biking, and exploring new places (museums, parks, restaurants, etc.). Also for fun, I enjoy playing board and card games (kudos to you if you’ve heard of euchre or Pylos!).

I'm a trans woman and I've been on hormones for nearly two years ago. If that's a dealbreaker for you, I definitely understand, but if you're still interested, I've been told that I'm cute and have an great sense of fashion!
