About me
I was born in the Caribbean and raised on the East Coast. I have been described as compassionate, goofy, and a lot of fun. I love to laugh. Life is stressful enough. We all need a moment to unwind and let it all go. What better way to do that than with cuddles 😁
Some facts to consider:
-"touch calms cardiovascular stress."
-The body’s vagus nerve is activated, which triggers our compassionate response.
-Touch can trigger release of oxytocin, aka “the love hormone.”
-"Touch activates the orbitofrontal cortex, a brain region associated with learning and decision-making as well as with emotional and social behaviors"
-Touch can also be reassuring and calming for a person in distress.
-"Even fleeting and seemingly trivial instances of interpersonal touch may help people to deal more effectively with existential concern," says researcher Sander Koole, from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in the Netherlands
