I am a caring person that has always been there for my friends no matter what the circumstances were.
I always think of friends and acquaintances before myself even at great cost to me mentally and monetarily. I have been in need of physical touch after a long period in the hospital. I think the medical community does not focus on the need for physical touch. I need someone to hold me and just tell me everything is going to be ok. I am currently in a rehabilitation environment which takes care of my health needs but I find myself wishing any one of my caregivers would simply crawl into bed and hold me. I am resilient but I'm finding myself mentally drained as I am an empath and it is time for me to think about myself so I can be strong enough to help the people I care about.
